Stayed in the Presidental Suite - what a fantastic holiday we had.
This was our 8th stay at the hotel, the sevice has always been of high standard and the friendliness of the staff is remarkable. Nothing is too much touble.
The breakfast in the a la carte restaurant has lots of choice and the service superb, as with everything else at the hotel.
One of the best hotels on the island.

I can only echo the majority of reviews on this hotel. The architecture and design is amazing and all the facilities were brilliant, but the best thing was the staff who could not do enough for you and seem to be very happy in their work. We went Bed & Breakfast and dined out in the evening. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance offering good food at reasonable prices. Many of the reviews tell you to go to Duque to eat which we did but we found it overpriced and not much better than the restaurants in Playa Fanabe. It took us a while to find the beach exit of the hotel - there is a spiral staircase from the sunbathing deck. Take the stairs down to the bottom and your key card opens the door and gate onto the street. There are three nice restaurants directly here - La Farola Del Mar, Atlantico and Restaurant Banana! Turn left towards the shopping centre and there is Coeur de Filet which was really good. Breakfast at the hotel was amazing with everything you could want and the staff very attentive with tea/coffee. The Pool bar is good value for a snack at lunchtime. There were always enough sunbeds if you don't mind not being right next to the pool. We are not normally interested in hotel entertainment but we were completely amazed at the quality of entertainment on offer with the odd exception. The room was very comfortable even if the bathroom is a little dated. We would definitely return. We had some treatments at the spa which were reasonably priced and very relaxing.

Unfortunately disappointed with our stay here in one of the superior suites.

We were not informed of the breakfast upgrade included in our package but were instead directed to the buffet restaurant. When we did find the al la carte restaurant we were let down by the service 2 from 7 breakfasts. One of the occasions saw five couples who entered after us being served before us... We were there 15 minutes before even being acknowledged!

They only managed to get our newspaper right 2 out of 10 nights, a small thing but the service overall was reflective of this; excellent when they got it right but otherwise half hearted or non existent.

We paid good money for a well rated five star hotel and were let down by a hotel that is five star, but is holding on by doing the minimum required.

We would try somewhere else next time as the location is fantastic.

I am a flight attendant and I stayed at this hotel for one night as I was picking up customers in Tenerife. Before my arrival, I had send an email to the hotel management to order catering for my three VIP cutomers who were travelling the next day. I also called in order to make sure my request was confirmed. I got confirmation and travelled in confidence. The nightmare started upon my arrival.

I arrived at the hotel at midnight when the receptionnist informed me that management refused to prepare three meals for the following day. The reason why was they could not provide food as they had already too many guests staying at the hotel and their food stock would not be enough. I was suprised a five star hotel did not have enough food for three more customers !
I also explained it was a disaster for our airline to get this information so late. Indeed, at this time, all restaurants were closed and I was not able to buy food anywhere else.

The hotel manager refused to meet me in personn to help me solve the issue. She did not even apologize. She was unprofessionnal and rude. Claiming that I was disturbing her in the middle of the night. What kind of service is this ?

I have been all over the world, stayed in all kind of hotels in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa... I have never ever been treated this way and I have never seen such a bad service. Even in third world countries, hotel staff go out of their way to help airline crew !

Moreover, I do not understand very well how a hotel of a five star standard like this one is not able to provide take away food for three VIP customers ! It seems to me that it is laziness. My impression was that they were making excuses not to make an extra effort to please us as my order was really basic : very similar to their room service menu actually.

I told them they do not realise the consequences : that it was not only affecting me but also very important people, customers and staff from the private aviation business. My stay was extremely stressful. And when I wrote an email to the guest relation manager to tell her that I will never recommend this hotel, she never replied to me as if they ignore how much damage one disappointed customer can cause in the customer service industry.

I have never seen in my entire life such a bad management. This hotel is definitely not a five star hotel. Staff is rude and does not have any customer service skills.

Thank you very much for your comments on Trip Advisor.com. Your criticism will helps us to improve our service and to make some changes in our written work procedures and instructions.
The hotels, which belongs to ADRIÁN HOTELES like Jardines de Nivaria Hotel, are HACCP certified by “Crystal Check safety first”. For those who are not informed about HACCP. The “Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points” is a hygienic control system for food, water, pool water and other areas to avoid hazards and to ensure a safe holiday for all holidaymakers in hotels. Hotels are not Catering Companies, and they can not offer, by law, this service to nobody. No administration authorization available in Spain for hotels to offer catering service. The food temperature has to be checked near constantly. Cold food should be stored in chilled areas (4ºC) and hot food in warm areas (80ºC). It is impossible, without special equipment which does have catering companies, to make sure that the temperature chain will never break to avoid the acceleration of microorganisms, which ends in food poison and ill clients.
Now, after informing about legal questions, we would like to expose our version about what has happened.
On September 28th, we received an e-mail six (6) hours before arriving (at night), requesting a more pages VIP catering for the next morning, to take out of the hotel. The e-mail regarding the catering was not send to the hotel management. After receiving it around 05:00 pm, the hotel management tried to phone the number, which was displayed in the e-mail to call back for questions or doubts, but nobody was reachable and we tried it until late in the night, to inform that we can not offer this catering service. Nobody answer. We were not able to organize this extra service, because first of all, we are not allowed, as already explained above, to prepare catering to take out. Second of all, September 29th was the day of the general strike in Spain, and we were organizing everything to avoid problems in the hotel that day. Everybody needs to make business to survive during a crisis period. So, our reaction was far away from laziness. The wellbeing of our clients, their health, is more important for us than the money we can earn with a catering request.
Thanking you again for the time you took to write about your hours stay in our hotel, we remain with kind regards.

My daughter and i stayed here in early october, and from the moment we arrived we were pampered, and it was heaven!.From a glass of champagne upon arrival, and a suprise upgrade to a seaview room, complimentary fruit and water in room, plus fluffy dressing gowns and slippers, what more could you want.Staff were very helpful and attentive, the food was delicious, the pool was amazing, with a huge powerful jacuzzi included, plenty of sunloungers everywhere, and all umbrellas had call bells for waiter,so you never had to get up if you didnt want to.Hotel is in nice central location, but is also very peaceful,no disturbance from promenade at night ect,and sleep not disturbed at all, oh, and the turn down service at night, with the chocolate on the pillow is a very nice touch. If you want a pampered relaxing holiday, this is the place for you, from the comfy sunbeds to the lush tropical gardens, this is truly a haven to escape to when you need a rest,,

My daughter booked this trip for a birthday treat for me, and what a treat it was! - From the time of our arrival to the day we left, we had the most wonderful time. We were lucky enough to be offered a room upgrade on arrival which overlooked the gardens & beautiful pool area. The staff, from chambermaids to bar staff to receptionists could not have been more gracious or helpful and polite at every turn. The room we had was spotless, the areas around the pool, and the outside restaurants were beautifully kept, and the towel service around the pool was very well organised. I can' t wait to book again for next year.
