I have been back to this hotel many times over the past few years and not sure if I will go back again. The positives are:
No problem getting a sunbed
Always very clean
Entertainment has improved

BUT some issues I have:
The money I have paid I expect that when I sit down to dinner the table should be already laid
The towels have been washed so many times they are like cardboard
I would expect that the man looking after the left luggage would help a woman struggling with her case not just stand and watch her
The food is not as good as it used to be apart from the bread !
The soft drinks at the pool bars are very expensive - go to the supermarket and you can get about 5 cans for the same price.
The rooms are looking tired and need updating
We are in 2014 - wifi should come as standard in this standard of hotel
Is it value for money? Not sure anymore but with some minor tweaks could get itself back on track!

Our fourth visit to this hotel, having stayed in numerous hotels over the past 10 years in Tenerife, this lives up to our expectations every time. Whilst people complain that the food is repetative, there are only so many diffrent things you can do with meat, fish and vegetables, and from our point of view they do there level best to keep the variety up. The staff are freindly and most recognise you if you are a retruning visitor, so it makes you feel at home each time. The rooms are clean tidy and the cleaners make sure they are kept that way. Yes you can find issues with all hotels, i travel a lot and if i picked fault with everything in each hotel and did not go back to them becasue of it, i would end up not having a hotel.
The bathrooms could do with updating, the room towels certinaly could, but other than that its fine

Room Tip: We have always asked for a high room in the main building overlooking the pool and got it, maybe bec...

My wife and I recently spent a week at the Bahia Princess. We booked this hotel after reading reviews and we were not disappointed. The minute we arrived we realised we were going to stay somewhere special. We were delighted with every aspect, the rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean,u the food was varied and excellent with some show cooking, every member of staff were very pleasant and eager to please.
The main reason for our holiday was to celebrate my wife's big birthday, I won't tell you how big her birthday was but is in between 64 and 66!!!!!. I had prearranged a small birthday cake but it looked more like a medium. Speaking to the head waiter during the week he told us that they would reserve a really nice table and it would be decorated with flowers, balloons and party poppers. Almost as soon as we sat down at our table the waiters brought a complimentary full size bottle of Cava. Half way through our dinner 6 waiters arrived at our table and sung happy birthday, 3 in English and 3 in Spanish. My wife is not normally emotional but there was a hint of a tear or two as she was so overwhelmed by the wonderful experience. She will never forget it.
We have only one minor whinge, we enquired about wi-fi access and were told it would cost 8€ per day. There are several Pubs within easy walking access that offer free wi-fi access to their customers, just buy a couple of cheap drinks and you can connect to the Internet for as long as you please.
My wife and I are lucky enough to have travelled extensively, especially in Europe, and we can honestly say this in one of the best hotels we have stayed in.
We will most definitely return probably around the same time next year.

Room Tip: The hotel is built over several floors. We asked and were provided with a room on the ground floor...

My partner and I stayed at the hotel on the 18th of may for the second time. It is as before a lovely hotel: the staff are very helpful and the food is lovely. The rooms are also very clean as is the rest of the hotel. The hotel does attract an older crowd but does accomate young families with children as well. The entertainment (although cheesy) is of a high standard - my partner was especially impressed with the Abba ladies :)

My only gripe is that you have to pay extra for the safe and the fridge in the room - as this is a 4* hotel these should be free- especially as the fridge is tiny so you cannot fit much in it at all. It feels a bit cheeky of them to charge you for this.

Overall though a lovely hotel - well worth the money and perfectly situated in a lovely quiet resort.

A few tips:
- Ask for a pool facing room- they are quieter and you get a nice view of the sea.
- Go to Siam Water Park- It is the best water park we have ever been to!
- We went on the day tour to Teide which was really interesting and showed us parts of the island that ordinarily we would never have seen.
- Walk along the sea front right to find some really nice restaurants - they are a bit pricy but the food and atmosphere are amazing.

Enjoy your holiday!

Room Tip: Pool Facing

Went to this hotel in November 2012 and thought it was looking a bit tired then. Nothing seems to have changed, in particular the rear exterior is in need of some treatment. The bedroom and bathroom, whilst clean (except for the cockroach one day), were looking well in need of redecorating as was the dining room. Staff remain very friendly but cannot make up for the lack of facilities, poor food and very expensive extras. The breakfasts were fine but the evening meals were so repetitive and poor that after our first week we were fed up with them. There are no facilities as such in this hotel and not too many in it's sister hotel across the road. There were small fridges in the rooms but these incurred a ridiculous cost of over 4 euro per day. To rent a safe costed over 2 euro per day. To rent both for 14 days came to nearly 100 euro, which is a totally ridiculous amount to have to pay as soon as you arrive. In addition, the pool towels incurred an extra cost each time you wanted to change them. We have been to several Thompson Platinum hotels and could exchange the towels each day free of charge. Overall I do not consider this to be a Platinum hotel or worthy of 4 stars. It is a very impressive hotel and perhaps looks like a 4 star, but the poor meals and lack of facilities reduces it to a 3 star in my opinion. Costa Adeje is a pleasant and quiet resort but you are constantly being pestered by people trying to get you to eat or drink in their restaurants, shop keepers, time share touts, and "lucky, lucky" men and women trying to sell you rubbish. This can be very annoying and does affect your walks into the resort in the evenings.

Booked the holiday expecting a bit better quality than we encountered. The room was very nice although the charges for the safe, fridge & wifi were very expensive. There is also a charge for the pool towels which does not get mentioned when you book & is not on the website!! This was approximately another 60 euros on top of the holiday cost. The food was nice enough although you would get bored with the same thing day after day. It was my husbands 50th birthday & although the travel agent knew this, the information was not passed to the hotel or resort staff which I was a little disappointed by too. Overall, after being to Tenerife numerous times, I would not stay here again as there are better hotels on the island.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 2 which is just off reception. Was a bit noisy early evening but we did not have a...

My partner and I have just returned from a relaxing weeks holiday at this lovely hotel . The hotel is absolutely spotlessly clean in the rooms and all public areas which I think is very important. Yes I agree with other comments the decor is a little dated but I think that's not really important as other things . Lovely pools although only one is heated where all the activities go on. We used to sit by the quiet pools but they were cold !! As for kids there was only a handful there so you felt at times you were in an adults only hotel which was great !!! Plenty of sunbeds , you will get one anytime of day as there are plenty of sun terraces aswell as by the pools.
As for the food lovely breakfast , couldn't fault it, everything you could think of,. They had an egg station , they cooked fresh omelettes on request aswell as pancakes . And also freshly fried eggs the way you like them, don't get the ones that are out ready on the hot plates as they are not the best !! They also cook fresh back bacon at the egg and pancake station something we didn't discover until the last day :(( they should clearly put some sort of sign up .
The food in the evening however was very disappointing , limited choice and always seemed to be pork !!!! We've had far better buffet evening meals in other hotels which is why I've given the overall score of hotel 4/5.
You must visit the pantry cafe a few minutes walk from hotel , run by a lovely British family and the food is absolutely divine !!! All home made , stunning cakes etc, you must try the cheesecake !! It is to die for !! We went everyday lunchtime and was always busy there , they got to know our order as we were there so often !!! A must to go !!
In relation to the rooms at hotel , We emailed the hotel prior to going and requested a high floor room in main building overlooking the sea and pools and we got exactly that!! It was one of the best in the hotel with two balconies !! Room 341. And we had the sun on it all afternoon to sit out ., lovely .
Staff etc are very friendly and will do anything they can to assist .
If you go on Thomson excursions to the half day mount teide do not go !!!!!! It's a waste of money and you will get the same trip for half of the price in the town. Also the trip iterinary in the Thomson book was nothing like the trip saying lunch was included and you would visit villages this did not happen ! We complained to the rep Kirsty who would not listen and kept talking over us, and sated that she had told us this but she hadn't . She stated that the Thomson books info on some of the the trips were incorrect but they still had to give them out in the welcome meeting .!!!!! Absurd if you ask me!!!!! She did not state this in the meeting that the info was incorrect which I think is unacceptable . So please be careful when booking trips and go elsewhere !!!!
All in all a lovely holiday , and we would definitely return to this hotel but perhaps on a b & b basis only as there are loads of lovely restaurants in costa adeje which is a great resort and plenty going on with a lovely seafront promenade you can walk for miles .

Room Tip: High floor room in main building , overlooking pools , not the annexe
