Just back from el duque apartments with my 21yr old daughter, we had booked a studio and emails hotel the week before to see if we could have a room in block g1-g6 as these are where you have the large balconies with sun beds, table and chairs and sun all day. When we arrived we got exacty what we asked for and were upgraded from a studies to a 1 bedroom apartment i. The block we requested, it was ideal as we sunbathed most days In the balcony and didn't need to go to the pool area. There were plenty of sunbeds and a few in the shade if you needed it. You could still get a bed easily at 10am. Block g1-g6 is above the restaurant and g2 is directly next to the kids play area which was not a problem at this time of year but could eat a bit noisy if in the high season. The apartment was spacious with beds made up daily. No kettle though but we just used the coffee machine to heat up the water for tea. There is no wi-fi in the hotel. Food was good and plenty of choice although If you were staying 2 weeks, you might not see much difference In The second week. They started to set up the childrens food area when we were leaving just at the start of the Easter hols. Looked a good choice for the kids.we went on a boat trip for 5 hours which I wouldn't advise as it was too choppy and people were given waterproof jackets as the waves were so high.not for the faint hearted. Costa adeje is a lovely place and would recommend to anyone. Plenty of lovely walks and up market hotels. 4 poster beds are worth it at fanfabe beach costing 25 euros for the day..only 7 euros more than the normal sunbeds but so comfy to use all day. We had a flight at 2100 hrs back to Glasgow and although we couldn't keep the room on,they gave us it until 1200 and also a room to store our luggage In till we left at 1830. Towels are available to rent if you want and also a safe costing 16 euros. We went all inclusive but were only allowed certain drinks and didn't include baillies or some of the other liquers. You could get beer, wine and piña coladas etc but I felt they were watered down. All in all,I would recommend to anyone looking for a good break with clean facilities but don't stay in every night..the entertainment was poor. Check out some of the local restaurant and pubs for some variety. A 10min walk downhill took you to the beach and restaurant areas, hope this is of help to anyone thinking of going to el duque. Any questions, please message me and I will ty to answer.
