Stayed here the last week in June - the view from our room was amazing - overlooking the mountains, the apartment was very spacious and clean - we only went bed and breakfast as we like eating out - the location was superb - and absolutely loved Costa Adeje and would definitely be going back - we went out a lot so I would say the only downside possibly to the hotel would be the food may be quite limited and the fact that the sun beds were chained up till 10 am which resulted in people hanging around the pool from around 9am so it defeats the object of not being able to reserve sunbeds as this is basically what was happening - the swimming pool was really great

Room Tip: If you like a mountain view choose a room at the back of the hotel on 1st floor

We are just back from this hotel. Staff are friendly enough - bar staff really nice and cheery some of the staff in the restaurant need some guidance with there manners - if you leave your seat to even get a napkin or more drink etc they swipe your plates off the table ! really annoying having to go back up and get your food all over again.

They didnt cater for children much - our 10 year old child wasnt impressed at all. Unless you want to eat Chips for 2 weeks and ice cream....

We went with Jet 2 Holidays - Never saw a rep even once entire stay!! Not that we really did want to but knowing where to contact should we need to would have been quite good...

The kids club is a joke if your child is over 8 yrs old! then there is absolutely NOTHING FOR THEM.....they only cater for toddlers and very young children - was pathetic really - they have x3 kids reps and they all dance about the stage every night singing the same "repetitive songs" which seriously cracked everyone up after the 2nd / 3rd night.

The bar are is very crowded - and not much space - kids screaming everywhere - so unless you have very young children who scream constantly you will love it...

The dining times are very noisey and busy - these need to be staggered for younger families suggested under 8 yr olds / families with babies eat before 8pm etc might be an idea unless you want to sit with ear plugs in - as sitting next to families with screaming babies whilst your trying to eat was a joke!!!

There were several thefts within hotel rooms - which was clearly staff members - and the way the hotel dealt with these were awful for the people involved - SO GET YOURSELF A SAFE AS YOU WILL NEED IT....Even make up and toileteries were being stolen on a daily basis from several peoples accommodatins - some people were saying they thought some of there clothing had dissapeared from there rooms...

THERE IS NO WIFI IN THE HOTEL WHICH WAS HORRENDOUS IN 2014!

Would we return to this hotel - NOT LIKELY as there are so many other better hotels in the area...

The thefts and the way the hotel managed this was horrendous - they didnt care at all. Had no regard for the holiday makers involved - lets face it they already have your money before you arrive....

Room Tip: higher rooms - away from pool area - ask for a sea view. absolutely no wifi at all within hotel whi...

Myself and my fiancee stayed hear for 2 weeks from the 23rd June. We had a ground floor superior studio apartment H001 which over looked the pool and has its on patio with 2 sun beds and I massive patio. We cannot fault the apartment it was very spacious with an equipped kitchen although we went all inclusive, but thank god it was because the food is not good.

If you like chips and rice with fish in it every day then you will be fine. The soups where made from the left overs. if sprouts where served at lunchtime then you would have sprout soup at dinner time.

We always went to he smaller pool as it had less children there and if was very nice and you got a sun bed most days but if we didn't I would just pull over our sun beds from the patio.

The entertainment was basic but did have a couple of half descents acts on. There was quite a few German and Dutch there but that's nothing new as they are every where.

The staff are fantastic and the maids where great they came every day with clean towels and changed the beds and cleaned the rooms throughout.

But don't make any noise after 11pm as the security guard will come knocking at your door. On 2 occasions he asked us to turn music down . God knows how he heard it as the doors where closed and it was not very loud.

The all inclusive drinks are great and I will also say that the cakes in the buffet where very nice but did taste the same although they looked different. The all inclusive bar finishes at 11pm and the bar more or less closes then so if you want a late night go elsewhere.

If you have kids then there really is not much food for them to choose from.

We ended up eating out most nights in costa adeje and found some nice restaurants. If you go into las Americas I would recommend the giddy goose pub and it does fantastic English food and a great fish and chips with mushy peas.

It is a good 15 minute walk to the beach but is an up hill walk on the way back. The. Bus station is directly across the road from the hotel and the bus will bring you to with Los cristianos or Las Americas for only 1.50 each. Taxi cost back from Las Americas was only 8 euros.

If you have a later flight then ask for a complimentary room.. We ended up having the same apartment we stayed in to have a shower and get changed at no extra cost. They give you 20 minutes.

Just one last thing it has been quite cloudy and over a 2 week period there was at least 5 days that had cloud all day although it was still hot.

Overall we had a nice holiday and enjoyed the apartment but would not return in a hurry to costa adeje. If you want something a bit lively then I would recommend going las Americas.

Good location nice walks along the paved coast footpath. We were all inclusive food was ok I think most people would find something they liked . The only really big complaint was our room it was clean and well serviced by the staff. BUT it was in block I room 101 please take my advise and make sure you don't get this room or block I all rooms have a industrial view , it overlooks the shopping arcade ,amusements and entrance to it. The view is of a very large roof, the amusement floor is on the same level as our second floor balcony and looks straight into the patio window. The noise was quiet bad most of the time it was open, and to top it all the world cup was about to start , they had some kind of loud speaker system that repeated the first line of a football chant all the time . We could not use the balcony due to the noise and being overlooked all the time. Having made it sound bad the pool was good the grounds are good the staff are all nice, and the sun shone for two weeks. But I do think you need to book a superior room, they all overlook the pool or the mountain and had aircon. The booking with first choice went well but we did not get our welcome pack.

Room Tip: don't get one in block I

Stayed here for 2 weeks from 10th to 24th June with 5 other families. Was a total nightmare from the day the holiday was booked!!! We booked through Thomsons who myself or the other groups will never book through again after all the mucking about and unprofessionalism from the staff we got.

On arrival to the hotel I found it to look very nice, pool looked great and room was a good size, very clean and with a pool view so all off to a great start. We missed dinner first night which was fine as we went out and explored some of Costa Adeje which is a lovely place in itself with lots of nice restaurants and bars (downfall to the hotel was that it was up a hill which was a pain as we were out most nights as entertainment was rubbish).

To save me writing paragraph upon paragraph I will point out why I will never return to this hotel;
1. Pool did not open until 10am
2. You could not get a drink between 10 and 11 am which is a disgrace especially when you have young children.
3. We were told there were snacks to find out these actually had to be paid for and only snack you could get was ice cream.
4. The food was shocking same old every day. You could have something for breakfast not a problem but come lunch and dinner it was repetitive all the time of chips, chips, chips, dry pasta, sorts of meat that just didn't look fit to eat. This is meant to be a family friendly hotel with a kids buffet to which we were told they did not cater a kids buffet after we complained After the third night there was nothing for our young children to eat aged between 1-6. The youngest child lived on milk for 2 weeks that's how bad the variety was. The kids also had to drink from wine glasses!!!!
5. We were basically made a target as we were a group there was something different every night. The gents getting pulled up for wearing "dress shorts" that we're not long enough. Glasses getting smashed and spilled beside us or on us with no apology, one of our group being asked if she was blind when asking where the teaspoons were, staff clicking there fingers every time we went in Hegel restaurant to advise other staff members we were there. To this we ate out most nights which was not budgeted for but it was better than being treated like a piece of rubbish and feeling uncomfortable while trying to eat.
6. Entertainment is a joke. There is one male who does it all who basically has no interest in any of the holidaymakers except if you are probably young, free & single!!! He does aerobics in the morning followed by water polo and that's about it. Kids club is between 12 & 1 which is a tent where the kids can draw pictures and play in a ball pool and where they are basically looking after themselves. Kids mini disco at night is the same guy playing 5 repetitive songs every night and that's it. He speaks little English so hard enough for adults to understand him never mind small children.
7. You then have the kids play park which is up steal stairs and sits adjacent to the pool bar roof which we witnessed a small child run into and smack her face and which was easy enough to climb on to.
8. Ongoing noisy maintenance work throughout the day everyday with Lorrys going up and down to get to the skip outside our apartment which was very unsafe.
9. One of our groups apartments were riddles with cockroaches. This was reported to reception and they were handed a tin of spray to deal with it themselves.
10. Another one of the groups daughter could fit through the balcony (just as we'll show as on the ground floor) and none of our other children thought of doing the same as the rest were on higher levels.

With regards to all these points we asked our rep to to set up a meeting with the manager as she was not happy with us and we were definitely not happy with her staff or the way she was going about things to which she never attended to meet us.

All in all worst holiday ever if it weren't for my group of friends making it our own it would have been a total waste of money!!!!!!!

I have just got back from an all inclusive week away at the Aparthotel EL Duque with two friends, all of us aged 20. I have to say that despite a few minor drawbacks we had a fantastic time.
If you visit this hotel for your holiday make sure that you book a superior room, we were lucky enough to have booked one of the these rooms which came with a larger amount of space both inside and out on the balcony. More importantly we had the perks of air conditioning and a pool view which made the stay much more enjoyable. I spoke to a few people whilst away that didn't have a superior room and found that it was a struggle without air conditioning. Also after reading other reviews it seems to me that the type of room that is booked defines how good the holiday has been, for us the superior room provided us with a fantastic holiday.
The food at this hotel was of a good standard with a large range of choice and the opportunity to try foods that you normally wouldn't eat. The all inclusive included a large range of drinks including champagne and a number of cocktails, the bar staff were both friendly and entertaining at all times. The pool was very large and so plenty of space for all the guests to enjoy it comfortably. The surrounding areas are full of pleasant little shops and restaurants and the beach is a mere 10 minute walk away. With the hotel being only a 10 minutes drive away from Siam water park (which I highly recommend you visit!) the free bus service is extremely useful.
During my stay here I could only think of two real drawbacks. The first of which is the man that runs the entertainment, he is far more interested in himself and people watching him than he is in the activity that he is supposed to be running. Also there is no replacement for him and so two days a week there are no activities running. The second drawback was that despite the colourful exterior of the hotel a lot of the inside was painted grey or white which made some places seem very dingy and dark including the dining room.
On the whole a fantastic relaxing holiday at a good price, very impressed for a 3 star hotel!

Room Tip: Book a superior room for air conditioning and more space!
