We arrived mid afternoon and were greeted by 2 (bald) happy go lucky receptionist who put a smile straight back on our face after a 7 hour travel to the dream hotel villa tagoro, they were very helpful. We were given a map of the villa and given a room (room 040) and told if anything wasnt to our satisfaction then we would be able to change rooms just say the word, i mean what more could u ask for?? we got to our room and opened the door and found it to be spotless and smelt like it had been disinfected from top to bottom, i could not fault this room, it was basic but spacious, it has everything you needed, the sofas werent the most comfiest and nor were the beds but for the price we paid for an all inclusive holiday for 2 weeks flying from our local airport (Bournemouth) i couldnt be more happier. the air con was weak but after making the receptionist aware they brought round a huge fan which we used at night to help us sleep. over the course of our 2 week stay we did find 1 cochroach in the bathroom for which i managed to catch in a glass and leave under the bathroom sink, i made reception aware and they were once again most helpful and sent someone round to remove it and give the room a top to bottom clean and that was the 1st and last time we saw any creepy crawlys in our room :)
The pool was perfect, a great atmosphere and looked so clean, it had a shallow end for children and the further you walked the deeper it became, in our second week the hotel became more full and there was alot of people in the pool but this was no problem in the water the only problem became getting a sun bed, this issue didnt bother us to much as we were happy to sit on the table and chairs, the pool bar served drinks from 11am - 11pm everyday and there was never an issue with getting drinks, the ques were either short (max of 6 people) or non existant and the alcohol measures were ALOT, there was a sicky smell to the back on the bar but it was bearable when you did have to que up.
The restuarant was very spacious, very clean and served a very large veriety of food, even picky people would be able to find something to eat! i found it especially great that at meal times they had specialities which they cooked there and then in front of you and to your desire eg pancakes and omelettes (with or with out onions, ham and/or cheese for breakfast. a rack of ribs for lunch, steak for dinner, this example of cooking changed occasionally an they even offered themed nights so one night it could be Chinese night offering egg fried rice, curry, prawn crackers etc ... to Spanish night where they offered paella, tortilla, spanish sausages etc. The staff were very helpful and effiencent and always seemed to be happy to help :) The reception area has wi fi also meaning you can use your laptops or iphones there for free!!
The entertainment was basic but in my opinion good, during the day they had activities for kids and adults i.e football, table tennis, bowls etc, they had certificates which were handed out to the winners every evening meaning the kids wanted to be involved as much as possible, the evening entertainment was funny and worth watchings, we had our pictures done with the snakes and the parrot but is was expensive to purchase these but at the end of the day its part of the holiday experience and something you want to remember for years to come, the shows were fun, some more then others but all in all we had a very good time at this hotel.
We didnt spend every day in the hotel we did venture out into the town and down to the beach and to the market, we always walked and found it helped burning off the calaries of all the beer stops :) a personal favourite for both food and a good night out was the WIGAN PIER and the FUN PUB (on the beach front) the walk back up the hill to the hotel was a bit of a mission but you definatly felt better upon reaching the top :) we didnt once get the bus or a taxi back to the hotel so dont let other peoples reviews of the hills put you off! beware off all the people trying to sell you things on the beach, sun glasses, watches, DRUGS! just say NO and walk on! we found most of the people were english out there and a good laugh and we had a really good time! On one final note we experianced 2 weeks of sun temperatures reaching 40+ in the day and 25 degrees and 3 in the morning! so be careful not to burn! loro parque and siam park are a must! we paid 60 euro for a twin ticket at an excursion shop, but shop around as we found a veriety of prices!
i would recommend this hotel to families and couples, and i would definatly return!

The service we recieved was very good, we arrived 11.45pm we did the paper-work were given the keys and was told were the apertment was. When we got to the room we had been left a snack/drinks which was most welcome. Our accomadation was quite spacious with a large balcony. The best thing about this complex was the relaxed atmosphire, lots to do for the children and pool-games for the adults. There was a good range of differant foods something for everyone.

Room Tip: We had room 136 which you can see the pool from.

We've just got back from our 2 weeks at this hotel and felt compelled to write a review, based on some of the bafflingly poor reviews below. Firstly, anyone complaining about the food at this hotel clearly has a very, very strange diet - every day there was a selection of 'junk' foods (chips/burgers etc)that many people opted for, however we enjoyed fresh meat (chicken, turkey, steak, lamb chops, veal, roast beef, ham hock (With crackling!!)), fresh fish, shellfish, fresh vegetables, lovely salads, paella, cheese and cooked meat selections, fruit, homebaked apple pie, pasta....basically every food group you could imagine covered. I'm not sure how even the fussiest person couldve found something they didnt like?! Breakfasts weren't the best I have to say, but again there was such a variety we all ate well. I've eaten at far more expensive places than this and I can honestly say the food is very good quality, ignore anyone who says different.

We took our two daughers (1yrs and 7yrs) who both had an absolute ball, the pools are perfect (although one has a very deep bit, beware!) and there are plenty of sunbeds for everyone. The animation team work very hard to keep them entertained, there is also a mini club every day that our eldest really enjoyed, as well as the kids disco in the evening. Its a small animation team admittedly but that makes no difference to the quality. The shows in the evening were mostly excellent, The Beatles tribute band a personal favourite along with the hilarious birdshow - the snake show is also very good, although they ruin that with the photos at the end, they try and extort 20 euros from you for pics before you've even had a chance to see them.

The rooms are very spacious and very clean, the maids work tirelessly at this hotel to keep them spotless. The one thing that I would complain about at this hotel is the air conditioning - its very weak, 'like an old man blowing' one guest described it as! It seems to be better in some rooms than others, but it certainly wasnt just ours that suffered. They did however lay on a big fan free of charge once we complained.

The softdrinks are all international brands, the alcohol local as is standard for AI resorts. The local beer Dorada is lovely, 4.7% as well so not too shabby - they do plenty of cocktails and other drinks too. Some people complained about the drinks being watered down, I didnt find that at all, a 'single' vodka and coke tasted more like a treble! It's not the sort of resort you want to get absolutely hammered at anyway, its very much family orientated.

The resort is very much a British one, there were various nationalities there but we were definitely in the majority, lots of Scottish people too. We had a really good bunch and all made some good friends there. There were the odd people who were less than pleasant shall we say, but you'll get that anywhere and they really were no bother. We were told that a group of girls from London had been acting VERY inappropriately just before we arrived, and the hotel had removed them immediately. It doesnt sound like they put up with any nonsense which is very reassuring, I think this particular group might have written a review a few down from this one actually!

The staff are mostly very friendly, there is one chap on the reception (bald, mid 40s) who is very abrupt and rude, however he's the only person we encountered who was anything less than courteous.

The free shuttle bus to the beach/town is great, regular pickups/drop offs - or a taxi is a few euros if you prefer. My advice for trips/excursions is to head into town and go to one of the smaller kiosk style sellers, they are a lot cheaper and despite what the reps will tell you, theyre exactly the same trips with the same insurance etc. Save your money and go with the kiosks.

I would advise booking transfers with your flights, its about 25 euros each way in a taxi to the airport so do factor that in.

As for cockroaches, we had 6 in total in 2 weeks. Not nice obviously but anyone who's been to a hot country will expect it, its not the hotels fault. There certainly arent gangs of them marauding around!

In summary, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great family holiday, I cant stress enough how good the food and entertainment is. Ignore the bad reviews, some people will moan about anything, this place is well worth a visit!

We arrived at Tagoro at 10pm, and were greeted with a warm smile, very welcome Ola and amazingly a cold buffet box to take with us, as we'd missed the last serving in the restaurant ! Our room was very spacious, seperate living area, kitchen area with fridge and a sink ( many have commented on no plates, cups etc ... but you're in an all inclusive resort people !!!! )
The views to the hills and Mount Tiede are fantastic ! And yes, you can see the Ocean.
The Restaurant, quality and choice of food would give any fussy person no cause to complain .... Fresh meat, pasta, fish, soup, salad, vegetables etc etc ... and a fair selection for the little ones :-)
The main pool area is obviously very popular and busy, and can be quite noisy, but hey it's a family resort with lots of families with young children so that must be expected.
The drinks were good and sometimes the measures so great they had to be watered down by ourselves (so the help yourself soft drinks came in very handy). Although there was a very warm cheesy feet/warm sick smell that came from within the bar. Hats off to the staff that work in there because they do a cracking job and keep queues to the absolute minimum :-)
Snacks were readily available to all at least 4 times a day, although getting to the ice cream or decent cakes you would have to be faster than Linford Christie!!!
Entertainment was cheesy but a laugh was had by all, young and old.
Overall a very good place for families. Also couples who aren't hungering for a secluded get away.
We had a great holiday and enjoyed all aspects and would like to thank the staff for their friendliness, hard work and making our stay enjoyable :-)
OH one thing to mention is that the air-con is not great in the rooms!

We took our 2 grandaughters age 12 and 10 for an 11 night stay. I had read some of the reviews before I went and to be honest I dont know what some people expect when they go abroad. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and I think sometimes when you are rude to people they will be just as rude to you so a little courtesy goes a long way. We couldn't fault the food the 2 girls ate their fill at every meal time, always good selection. Our apt was twice as big as we expected and spotlessly clean. Well done to all the staff who put up with these rude and whingeing people!!!

we have just returned from a 10 day stay at the dream villa tagoro, the location is good just a 10 min walk to the beach front and only cost 3euro for a taxi back , food was good fresh fish and meat daily dinners were sometimes better than tea, fresh omlettes for breakfast which we had most days ,we planned to eat out a few times but never did as we enjoyed what was on offer ,only thing we had out was pizza from pizza taxi from near the supermarket (recommended ), we stayed in room 244 which was a superior room which we did not pay for so id say we got a good deal , balcony was huge with 2 sunbeds table and chairs. the entertainment team were excellent and worked hard all day/night to entertain everyone ,mini disco evening shows, bingo, various activities during the day ,most of the staff were pleasent although there were a few miserable bar staff which didnt bother me ! we never queued for drinks and never seen the sunbeds padlocked ,hotel was very clean and we met some lovely people .

This hotel had very rude staff, when we arrived at the reception we were expected to find our own way to our room, with no one to help us with our heavy luggage. The entertainment wasn't very good and they claim it is a family friendly hotel but clown that was performing one night was not appropriate for children making very sexual jokes. We also had things thrown at our window but when we complained we were told that we should expect that in a hotel. I very much think this had something to do with our skin color. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Oh yes, we also had an ant infestation as our back door was near grass.
