“Family Holiday”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

This hotel is in an ideal location for the Coast, Siam park the local market (outside the door) the pools and the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms is excellent and great bar service, the grounds are maintained well with daily attention. Friendly staff too. the restaurant is efficiently run with a great choice, we went All Inclusive the down side being the wearing of a plastic bracelet for the week. The entertainment for this week wasn't as good as when we went in December 2013 and the stage is obscured to most unless you get an early seat . Spa was lovely offering many treatments,
We would go there again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Suites and above only have refreshments in rooms basic and delux do not .

This is a very difficult write up to do because there were many good points and some not so good. First, this is not a 5 star hotel as you would expect within Europe or the states. It is in need of refurbishment especially in the paint which is peeling in many areas,(many hotels similar in respect of paint damage)....... and the pool which has a weird plastic liner which is dirty around the edges with like a scum mark along the top edge. Not pleasant at all. This could have been scrubbed but wasn't. Good availability of sunbeds and no messing up to 10am if you were not in the area but leave your towels and bags there..they will have been removed! well done to the hotel. The room we had was very good and very quiet room on 5th floor...we had quiet neighbours either side so that always helps....bathroom was in need of a face lift due to poor sealing around bath with mould on it....not 5 star.
The hot food was not really to my taste...however...good points as well...lovely salads/cold meats/and a wonderful selection of cheeses ...and lovely puddings....also most pasta dishes and lots of fish... breakfast was always good and lots of juices and cereals and eggs to order etc...... .however having to pay for water at lunch and dinner was ridiculous ..if you are on full board water should be free...a real cause of dissatisfaction this...and the price was expensive compared to supermarket price!
I liked most of the entertainment....but drinks were expensive.
Now for the best bit.......The staff were a real credit to the hotel...always helpful and polite and reception were excellent . One of the staff doing the aqua aerobics at the pool, a young man who was obviously the leader, saw a man collapsed with a sprained ankle...and in spite of being busy setting up the aerobics session came very quickly to help him. Top marks to him..he should get a pay rise....
Lots of spaces to sit and read in the hotel and a good small library. Also free wi fi excellent and good satellite TV ..well done hotel.
In summary not a 5 star...at present, only 4 star...but staff are probably not supported enough by investment in the hotel or senior management . The staff are the stars of this hotel!

Dear Sirs,

Firstly we would like to thank you for your time and your feedback. All the comments are for us very important and help us to improve our services.
Regarding the state of conversation of Hotel we would like to inform you that our Hotel is big and is open all year. We are aware of the need to undertake some improvments in our infrastructure and services which we are trying and we are still continuing to work in different aspects: refurbishing our rooms, changing our sunbeds in the pool, painting our bathrooms and we will keep working also for future improvements in our Hotel.

We really appreciate your comments about the food in our restaurant where we offer a big variety buffet and It is a pleasure for us to satisfy all our guests. It is wonderful to hear your comment about our staff.

Once again thank you for your attention and we hope to see you soon in our Hotel.

Kind regards,

Don't be tricked by the shiny photos!
Advertised as a 5* resort, it fell well below expectations. General decor of the hotel is dated and tatty, flaking plaster, leaking pool over the main reception area, dirty scum mark around the water level on the pools.
Rooms were adequate, however bathrooms are tired and need revamping.
Dining room is like a cattle market, with a rugby scrum at meal times. If you don't mind being apart from your family at dinner time for 20 minutes whilst you queue for your chosen food (only to then have some of it be cold as you can't have pasta & meat warm at the same time as you have to queue separately for them)
Lunch on the all inclusive menu is second rate, forced to eat on plastic plates if you don't want to eat in the main restaurant.
There is only 1 place to sit in an evening, so if you're not up for the entertainment, there's nowhere else to get a drink, and then the waiters skirt around those with all inclusive wrist bands, to serve paying customers first.
Outside meal times, there are no snacks available unless you pay extra.
I've never stayed in a 5* Hotel where I've been asked to pay for a safe in the room!
Shabby 4* perhaps but definitely not the 5* it is advertised as.
Won't be returning or recommending

Room Tip: Don't opt for a pool view if you like a siesta, it's noisy!

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for the time taken to offer us same feedback.

We are aware of the need to undertake some improvments in our infrastructure and services which we are trying and we are still continuing to work in different aspects: refurbishing our rooms, changing our sunbeds in the pool, painting our bathrooms and we will keep working also for future improvements in our Hotel. The leaking in the pool is due to be completed in a matter of days. We are obviously not proud of that leaking and that is why we did not hesitate to have it repaired as soon as possible. We regret though that we did not meet all your expectations and hat you were not entirely satisfied with the aspects of our buffet and that our peak hours were of your discomfort. Regarding the use of the plastic plates in our pool bar I would like to inform you that is simply a matter of safety: our all-inclusive guests can find a snack bar which is located nearby the pool and so it is only for this reason that we use this type of plates.

You will never find plastic materials in our restuarants or bars as some as will not find dispenser machines for drinks. Our staff serves each and every day the drinks directly to our guests.

We regret that your perception was that we treat our guests in a different way.

It is imoportant to us that our guests feel welcome and comfortable at our Hotel. Please be sure that we give for all of our guests the same type of treatment.

Once again thank you for your attention.

Kind regards,

Stayed here with daughter and grandchildren for two weeks in July.
Excellent accommodation ,very clean and very friendly and helpful staff.
Only bed and breakfast but very impressed with huge choice and high quality on offer.
Real bonus was the strict sun bed policy with any towels belongings left unattended before 10am removed, could always find sun beds any time of the day.
Would return as a couple or with family again.

Just returned from a great holiday at this hotel. The AI package was great value for money and the food at the buffet and service was fantastic. All the staff could not have been more cheery and helpfull. The idea of no reserved sunbeds before 9.30 am is great. All drinks on the AI package are branded and they are not short on a good measure, you never have to ask for a large measure. My only gripe would be the restaurant La Laca which is a 15 euro supplement was very poor and I mean very poor.Anyway enjoyed it so much we're going back in May.We were a mixed family group of 10 and all ages had a great time.

We stayed as a couple for 12 nights from 26th July. The hotel was fabulous, staff friendly, so clean and the pools were lovely. The all inclusive package was value for money and the food was good quality. There was a good selection of English TV channels and the most of the people who stayed at the hotel were English or Spanish, not many Germans, Russians etc.
The only downside to the room was that we were on the 1st floor at the back with four rooms above us and you could hear the toilet flushing all through the night, we were also next to the cleaning store cupboard so about 7am every morning we were woken to the screeching of cleaning trolleys and talking between the staff. So avoid room 140!

The best thing has to be that they mean you can't reserve sunbeds, 3 pool attendants go around all the pools around 9.30-10 and strip all belongings from the beds that are unattended, so don't go putting your towels on before breakfast.

We walked to the other side of Playa de le Americas which took about 2 hours along the coast with a stop on the way and then caught a taxi back for 10 Euros.
We went on a full day tour which cost £57 for both of us, the hotel provided an extensive picnic which you order the day before and we went past Mount Teide up to Puerto de la cruz and the down the west coast of Tenerife, a nice change of scenery. There is a market opposite the hotel every Thursday and Saturday with plenty of souvenirs to take home.

Overall had an excellent holiday.

P.S Advice for any smokers among you- you can't smoke once you have gone through security at Tenerife airport. So I checked our bags in then went back outside to smoke and then waited an hour before going through security.

Room Tip: Try to avoid low rooms, I thought the people above were re designing the room, I have never heard so...
