We just left Neptuno and had a wonderful time , front desk clerk are very helpful and the girls at the pool and bar just adorable ... Remember you get what you paid ... It's up the hill but there is a free bus all day and a taxi up 3:50€ ... We are going back soon ... Our room with a huge balcony looking at the ocean an gorgeous sunsets

I think they were staying at another hotel
room 74 was fine ,large area 4 beds yes i said 4 beds 2 normal 2 sofa
but for 2 people ! very clean room yes a bit dated but you use it as a base dont you
bar good friendly staff reception great also
ok the hill is steep but it only takes 4-5 mins to walk up bakers next great ,supermarket next also handy but walkdown hill and there is a supermarket in the sur shopping center marcadona supermarket crazy cheep bus stop at bottom of hill
a good base for the money it has all you need and is clean and nice staff

Room Tip: room 74 has a nice view of the sea and is very quiet at night

THE BAD, room 11,Just returned from a 7 night stay At Neptuna and have mixed feelings about our stay. The hotel is up a hill as stated in other reviews and was no problem to walk up last 100 yards makes you pant a bit but thats all. We were at first really pleased with our room but later under closer inspection things were not as they seemed. Sofa had broken spars under the seat cushions so my wife and I had to sit at each end as there was no support underneath told our daughter to sit in the arm chair and she fell through it as the supports were missing from that aswell! Ceiling light in living room was broken with wires exposed and full of dead flies. Glass in patio doors and windows loose in the frames and rattled like mad. On valentines evening we had a bad storm that blew a pane of glass out onto the kitchen work top. The beading had been put back in the wrong way round and was held in with the gold foil from cigar packet! Norwegian couple above us wore clogs or similiar and clumped up and down the apartment for an hour in the morning from 7am and an hour at night till 11pm reported faults to reception who made a note of above and shook heads and tutted when I showed them photos but nothing was done. Only saw one tiny cockroach in the bathroom all week. Maids in everyday but towels only changed the day before we came home. THE GOOD,excellent but cold pool heated pool down steps that my daughter and her friends loved. Communal areas clean tidy and chilled atmosphere loads of sunbeds, our room had a pool and sea view and the music drifting up from the pool bar reminded you you were on holiday and we never felt the need to put the tv on. Despite damaged furniture room was clean and kitchen well equipped and we managed to cook a few meals although it felt a bit like Glamping. We have discussed the above on getting home and have said we would stay here again but would request a change of room if not happy.

Our apartment a good size and was clean (cleaners came daily) but a little tired the towels were usable but had seen better days and could do with replacing. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pool area was clean and relaxing with showers and a bar serving food.
Conveniently, there is a small supermarket just outside the complex where you can purchase most of your requirements with another just 2 minutes away but if you want to do a “real” shop there is a large shopping development at the bottom of the hill, maybe 10 minutes walk away (get taxis back as walking up fully loaded is not recommended, Phew!).
Most evening we wandered down to the Fanabe area where there is a good choice of Bars and restaurants (the Wigan Pier Bar is a good night out with food, entertainment and Footie on the TV) but if you want a great steak make the effort to go to La Grande Paella restaurant on the Avenida De Colon (near the marina). All I can say is WOW!!! We dined there 4 nights out of 7 need I say more!!!!
The hill back up to the Neptuno is a little hard work, there is a free bus up and down until 6pm but the local taxis only cost 3 or 4 Euros so “No brainer”!

My wife and I are returning in late March 2014.

Room Tip: Rooms just below the reception area are most convenient as you will not have to tackle too many step...

Yes, the hotel is up a steep hill which manageable, the cockroaches however are not. Found the first one on the first night in a drink of lemonade next to my bed. Thank god I didn't take a glass of coke to bed. Spent the rest of the week leaving the lights on and making sure hubby patrolled the room before I went to sleep.

We were quite apprehensive before we arrived having read the very varied reviews on tripadvisor. However we did what we always do and took an overall view of what we had read and were very pleasantly surprised.hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious and view from balcony perfect for an evening glass of wine watching the sunset.pool was rather cold(according to my other half) so we used pool in regency hotel across the road, the food here was also lovely.the kitchen could have been a little better equipped but had wineglasses and corkscrew most important.room was cleaned every day and not too early!! Would definitely stay here again

Room Tip: Room106 has lovely seaview

Don't don't don't go here save your money and better to stay at home unless your homeless or a student who doesn't care a toss. There would be riots if this was an English prison as to an idividuals human rights. The guy on reception was all was helpful but that is where it finished. No assistance with cases and had to carry them down 70 eneven and broken steps and go up and down these every time we went out which was most of the time to get away from the place.
The unit was not at all clean fridge seals were completely black never been cleaned every thing was sticky .The wardrobe should have had 3 sliding glass mirrows as it was 2 had been broken and replaced with hardboard and none of them opened properly so was a lottery on what clothes you wore each day depending on which door you could get open. There were 4 cooking utensils in the kitchen just a joke and no wine glasses openers or nothing.Great if you like to wake up in the morning and go round clearing up the cockroaches,You have to pay for the 20e for tv and more for Wi-Fi and can only use it in reception. We couldn't open the windows as its like a cat sanctuary and about 24 cats at any time trying to get in.This place must have been built soon after the war and has never been refurbished since, there are cleaners around and they may go in the apartments but it not to clean and the bedding must have been there since it opened.Definetly the worst apartment and I have ever stayed in don't go there k

Room Tip: just don't go there
