“Very Good Hotel”
Reviewed 10 October 2012

This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel. We were on half board from September 23rd to October 7th. The rooms are spacious but could do with smartening up a bit.Having said that the only time we were in the room was to sleep / shower /change clothes..We were on the 7th floor overlooking the Marina and mountains which was brilliant.
The food is excellent and there is enough choice to suit everyone
All the staff we encountered were polite and helpful
The lifts do seem slow particulary at meal times and they seem to be quite warm inside, in fact the reception area air con didn`t seem to be working while we were there.
The pools and gardens were very clean.. just the usual gripe about people reserving sunbeds at the crack of dawn then strolling back from their day out and taking the towels back to their rooms without using the beds.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Bouganville Playa, so much so, we have booked to stay there again.

This is the third time we have stayed here over the last two years,Must be one of the best hotels in the area for valve,we were half board, and the food is fresh and ample, and the hotel caters for every taste,Meat lovers are well catered for as are veggies.Staff very professional, frendly and helpful.Drinks average price for a four star hotel.,plenty bars about within walking distance,Autobus station five mins walk away, any amount of bus's to Los Cristionas and other parts of the island.we use bus to and from airport only 2.90euro with un bono bus card.

We stayed in this hotel on half board from 28thaugust -11th september and had a wonderful holiday. I had requested a high floor and when checked in was given room 825.I happened to mention that we were going to surprise my sister who was in the hotel but didnt know we were there and the receptionist asked her name. she then transferred us to the same floor to be near. it was on the 10th floor and was great. The staff were brilliant and the food was very good with plenty of choice and was good quality. The hotel was always spotless and clean towels and bedding whenever we wanted them. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated but you dont want to spend all your holiday in your room. Lastly I would like to say a big Thank You to all the staff and hope to return again soon.

Room Tip: High floors are quieter if you have trouble sleeping and have great views.

this is the second time we've been to the bouganville playa. we booked directly with the hotel this time and used the discounts to upgrade to a junior suite. i'd recommend that you save your money if you're inclined to try an upgrade.
the rooms are o.k. if a little tired but all you get in a junior suite that you don't get in an ordinary room is extra space. the junior suite is just a bedroom and an extra room with a chair and settee and a sideboard / cupboard unit. we found that the air con struggled to cool the room and doubly struggled with the extra space. the veranda might be bit bigger than normal but you couldn't get a sunbed on there and the wall is so high you have to stand to see the seaview.
there are two main pools, one next to the kiddies pool and one other bigger pool. we managed to get a sunbed every day without any hassell but you have to get up early to get the better beds against the wall at the back of the bottom pool.
the meals are pretty good with many choices at all sittings (breakfast, lunch and dinner). carvery, fresh cooked fish, fresh cooked meats (lamb chops, veal steaks, pork steaks etc) with a comprehensive range of side dishes. there is also a nice range of sweets and cheeses etc.
i tried to get wi-fi in the room (20 euros for the week) but couldn't access the internet because the signal was too weak on the eighth floor. the reception staff tried valiantly to rouse the i.t. department but that was never going to happen so i just got my money back and did without. you can have one thirty minute free taster session in the bar lounge.
the staff are friendly and helpful throughout. we've been in hotels where the hotel seems to limit bar staff in order to minimise the effect of the all inclusive drinkers but not in this hotel.
we don't normally try the entertainment but had a really good night with the beatles.

Room Tip: higher floors are less affected by the noise from the local bars.

I stayed at Bouganville Playa, all inclusive a few months ago but it seemed a shame to leave! I loved the interior, the restaurant and the entertainers who did lots of activities through the day and night, they had a different show on every day of the week which we enjoyed and was great for the kiddies. The hotel is close to the lovely beach and some great bars. I would defiantly recommend this hotel for anyone!

Just returned from this hotel on the 25th Sept 2012 after an 11 day stay.Cant fault the restaurant, food good, with a variety of freshly cooked meats and fish along with veg and salad.
But sadly it all ends there, firstly upon arrival it took 3 attempts to get a room which was acceptable, rooms really in bad repair with decor to match, broken shelves in wardrobes fridge held level with a bit of paving slab and bad stains down walls and doors.Along with that we found that smoking seemed to be the norm on all floors,we were told only floors 1 and 2 were for smokers dont beleive it,even the outdoor balcony in the main bars were not smoke free, infact the only areas what were smoke free were the reception and the restaurant. The pool areas were quite good with 2 main pools and 1 for the kids.I would not recomend this hotel until it has had a complete refurb.

Just got back from one of the hottest weeks ever experienced in Tenerife. We had a great time on our first all inclusive holiday (we normally go HB) at the Bouganville. Althought the room decor is a bit tired now they are spotlessly clean and apart from sleeping (and other bits!) we spent very little time in there anyway. This was more than made up by the excellent service and friendliness of the staff, the excellent location, superb entertainment and good quality food with loads of choice.
The highlight for me each day was having the included buffet lunch overlooking the ocean with a couple of glasses of wine that would have cost about 80 euros a time in the Jardin Tropical next door. Thank you again to the Bouganville staff.

Room Tip: Higher floors have the best views in Adeje.
