The hotel is set in a very handy position right on the beach with good views. The communal areas are top class with lots of seating areas and the facilities; including the pools and sporting equipment are very good. Lots of sun beds, so plenty to choose from despite some of the guests rushing to reserve them every morning – and this is despite there being signs saying it is forbidden! The staff are friendly and helpful, so no issues there. The restaurant is fine, food quality not bad at all, but they do not cater for the British palate and the choice is very much based on the needs of the Spanish and German guests, so it got very repetitive by the second week. The bar prices are extortionate which was a shame as the entertainment was quite good, but it was so much cheaper to go to the local bars and their entertainment was just as good. The Pheasant Plucker over the road was a fab place, Craig the compare is hilarious and not a bad singer, the drinks are very reasonable and they had good entertainment every night, so would recommend a visit. Now for the real negative – the rooms, how they can consider these a 4 star standard is beyond me. They are extremely basic, in very poor condition, and poor facilities. The fridge leaked and was supposed to be a mini fridge; it had a price list on top but nothing in it! There are no sockets, so you struggle to do the basic like charge your mobile, the décor left a lot to be desired and was well over due a redo and the beds were very old and not comfortable, also the towels were very thin and well worn. These rooms really need bringing into line with the rest of the hotel and really let it down. I know you do not spend all your time in them, but that does not excuse them being of such a poor standard. Overall would not use the hotel again because of the rooms and the bar prices.

Booked this hotel as we were meeting others out there and so didn't get a choice in the accomodation! Hotel was mostly clean (but a little dated) and the rooms were decent enough. The location is perfect in my opinion, not slap bang in the middle of all the nightlife but in very reasonable walking distance. Main issue I had was a couple of patches of mould on the bathroom ceiling which I had to learn to ignore or I ended up feeling ill! However, I had an amazing holiday and would recommend this hotel unless you want to spend all your time in the room as this were definitley the lowest point for the hotel, not bad enough to stop me returning though!

Having read about the fires prior to our departure I was a little worried but all was soon to be put into place. The hotel, which we were visiting for the eighth time in ten years was as usual very very good. How some people can complain about the quality of the meals is beyond me, The menu is so varied and NEVER the same in a weeks stay, I dont know what people expect or get at home. The quality and variety is second to none and the staff cannot do more for you if you show a little respect which was obvious that some dont and its deplorable how visitors speak to staff. Enrique, Antonio, Ana Belin and even chef Miguel were not afraid to knuckle down and tend to your wishes in the restaurant. Jose in the pool side bar and David and the other staff in the show halls at night. Sergio, Mariano and the guys and gals in the animacion team all tried very hard to give their best in the tributes to Grease and Mama Mia. The other entertainments were also good especially the three tenors, chinese acrobats and Mister Sister ( formerly part of Bitter and Twisted) but still the best of the lot. The rooms were always clean and the bedding changed when required and not two or three times a week like other hotels. Yes the rooms are dated, but its clean, tidy, no problems that a coat of paint or new shower cubicle couldnt change. All in all a great holiday again. We met some great folk, Big Scott from Northampton and his wife, Don and Ann from Airdrie and a great couple called Gordon and Carol from Dunfermline who enjoyed it so much, they have booked up already for next year. We will too and I hope a lot of others also come and sample a great hotel. Its IBEROSTAR and the food alone is worth the effort.

visited this hotel for 2 weeks with husband and 2 kids what a disappointment!!! this is never a 4 star hotel. The furniture in the rooms is very shabby, the grout on the tiles in the bathroom is black the furniture around the hotel is so dirty you dont want to sit on it. we booked a family room and paid £1500 for the 2 weeks (excluding flights) when we arrived and opened the door the smell of urine was overwhelming, the beds had been throw in all in a row you couldnt swing a cat in it never mind live comfortably for 2 weeks we were actually standing on beds to move around. we refused to take the room and was offered one just as bad on the room below, we refused this and were forced to pay 300 euro to upgrade to a clean and comfortable (though not very ) room. the receptionist was very unhelpful and made us feel very uncomfortable we felt backed into a corner. we did stew for over a week and thought why should we pay more ?we demanded to see the manager who refunded the 300 euro the next morning this hotel is needing refurbished from top to bottom. Its a total waste of money if you expect and pay for 4 star then avoid this hotel !!!!

My boyfriend and i have just returned from 10nights in tennerife. We arrived in the early hours, greeted by a friendly receptionist, who gave us all the info on where our room was, pool etc.
Staff were excellent-had a power cut in the middle of the night-maintenece were up within 5minutes fixing the problem.
Rooms are very basic, a little out dated but clean and very comfortable. Rooms cleaned every day bar one. Ask for a room with a pool view otherwise you will be able to hear noise from the bars across the street.
Food was generally good if not a little repetitive. There is something for everyone.
Excellent location, next to the beach and bars/restarants.
Day trips to siam and lorro park are a must.
Would definatly reccomend..
