a little disappointed with this tapas bar and high ratings.
Food very salty and a little on the basic side.
only 5 tables outside and nothing inside.
didn´t impress us at all

We stumbled upon this bar late one night last June and ending up gate-crashing Mitch s Birthday Party. What a wonderful host. We returned this Christmas and booked in for Christmas Eve Tapas...what an experience...the best tapas I have ever eaten. I followed up this visit with fish and chips..again amazing..a la carte standard at a reasonable price and such a friendly host. Thank you, Mitch...I will be back. Excellent.

We stayed at the Altamira Club and this little place was just across the road. Excellent tapas menu and the food is amazing. Reasonable prices. Worth a walk down the coastal path towards La Caleta for everyone further round towards Las Americas area.

We chanced upon this lovely bar/restaurant after despairing that we would ever find decent tapas near where we stayed in Fanabe. We read trip advisor before going and found the other reviews give a realistic impresssion of what to expect. The food was great (we particularly enjoyed the pork fiesta, spanish sausage in red wine, and spanish omelette), there was plenty of it and it was good value for money. The service was friendly and genuine, and timely given that the food was freshly cooked. Mitch is enthusiastic about his food and joined us for a shot of real honey rum to finish the meal. It is well worth the short walk along the coast path from where we stayed and I would heartily recommend Smugglers bar!

Just visited Tenerife with my family, came across the smugglers when looking for breakfast, we enjoyed it so much we went every day for two weeks, the table was reserved for us which was very sweet of Mitch, we even had evening meals there too, the food is great and not expensive. We got on well with the whole family my son play with their baby Oakquin, and the daughters. We would definitely go back to eat in the smugglers.....Mitch's place.. Great food, great atmosphere, lovely family, see you all next year
