We were unlucky enough to get one of the infamous rooms with a view of the neighboring property's back wall with an airconditioning or ventilation unit (apparently belonging to one of the restaurants) turned on from early morning to late at night. After having asked the receptionist about changing rooms in the beginning of the week, we were told that they might be able to arrange it after half the week. This never happened, however, which was very disappointing.
Another problem, which I haven't seen mentioned by the other reviewers, is the fact that the noise levels from other rooms can be a nuisance.
Besides these drawbacks, Panorama is a good, clean hotel real close to the beach with a nice pool area and decent location. I would also recommend the breakfast and barbeque buffet.

Room Tip: Beware the rooms with a wall view!

this was the 1st time stopping here, there was a slight problem when we arrived but i must say it was not down to the hotel,it was the travel agent, the manager sorted the problem the next morning and we were shifted to our proper rooms, the rooms are basic but could do with some updating, the cleaners were fab, in every 2 days,
the food is a lot better than most travel, ers have said about it,there was always something for everyone,
the new yr gala dinner was 100% perfect
all in all the hotel staff were fantastic especially loui he went out of his way to make our holiday a lovely stay, told us where the spanish bars were etc,
we are missing him already ( THE CHEEKY MONKEY)
all in all a good location & a nice hotel
loui you best get some air con fitted to the rooms ????

Room Tip: don,t get a promo room upgrade to a pool room

This was our second visit to Panorama this year and in January we were given a room without a view and upon speaking to reception they very kindly moved us the next day to a wonderful apartment overlooking the swimming pool with a sea view too! I booked via a travel agent for the accommodation last week and faxed Panorama asking if we could have a similar room as last time and appreciated they cannot guarantee requests, but we were lucky and actually had an apartment next door but one to the one we stayed in earlier in the year. The apartment was spotlessly clean, cleaned every day, bedding changed mid-week, absolutely perfect. The whole area was spotless. Whilst we did not eat at the hotel, the food always looked appealing, especially the BBQ on Wednesday evenings. The apartments are ideally located. We found some lovely restaurants in the area, and will definitely return to Panorama.

Like most other scribes we checked this facility out on-line before travelling and yes there is the problem of no a/c however, we seem to manage ok and as this place has been open for some 27 years and continues to be as popular as ever especially with our Scandinavian cousins then it must be doing something ok The answer of course is the location, very well placed for everything at this side of Las Americas, but don't ignore the restaurant on site. I know good value and good food and this has both. Yes you can walk 50yds to that Valencia Paella place but queue to save a few €s not me! I have stayed at numerous other places in this area and take it from me this place ticks nearly all the boxes.

Room Tip: South facing rooms get advantage of the sun all afternoon

The apartment meets your needs for sleeping, getting showered and changed, clean, basic but lacks air con. We read all the reviews before we came and we weren't worried too much about the air con but it is a problem. We would never have coped with the heat in the height of the season. We stripped off the whole time we were in the apartment to try and stay cool and this wasn't enough. There is a ceiling fan but not adequate enough to cool the room properly. On arrival which was late at night the reception guy looked miserable, didn't have a smile for you or anything to say. There is a restaraunt at the bottom of the hill on the corner, dont mistake this one with the eating place above it, they are not the same and they are very different from each other and do not belong to the same owner, however, the english man who tries to get you into the eating place above will insinuate they are the same as he is paid to get the public up there. The food downstairs is apparently the best for miles and it is always full, we ate here every day and the portions were massive and cheap, such a shame i got food poisoning and was ill for 5 days of the holiday and I am still not better now. All in all a good holiday.

Stayed here from the 6th to 13th October 2011.This is the second time we have stayed at the Panorama the first time was 3 years ago, the main reason for returning was the excellent position of the property just 50 yds from the sea front. The apartments are very good, spacious and the studios have a nice L shaped seating area with a TV featuring plenty of channels including BBC & ITV. They have all the utensils you require and a decent bathroom with a full bath. They are spotlessly clean and also have a good sized balcony. Only fault we found was the lact of air-conditioning. Last time we stayed we didn't notice this but this time the weather was very hot, which we wanted, between 28 & 33 centigrade each day. We hired a fan for E20 for the week but it was still very hot. The pool is excellent, always very clean, and there are plenty of sun lougers plus a very friendly life guard. The poolside bar serves a good selection of drinks and has very good lunchtime snacks. We didn't use the on site restaurant and the bar was closed for redecoration during our stay. There are 3 types of room as far as I can gather standard studio with obstructed view, studio, and one bedroomed apartment. Some apartments are privately owned. Beware of the obstructed view rooms as many look out onto a brick wall. We asked for a higher floor room with afternoon sun and we allocated room room 108 which is excellent. As far as I can make out any room in the range 102 to 120 would be just as good. There are a number of good eating places on the seafront and also up the street near the San Euginio shopping centre. Our favourites are Verdes an excellent Italian and for that special evening EL molino Blanco (The white windmill), a visit to this restaurant is a most, but book early and ask for a table near the floorshow, usually the Singing Chef and an excellent pianist. Overall an excellent stay in a very good budget property in an excellent position, we would return for a third time

Room Tip: We thought rooms 102 to 120 are in the best position, they get the sun from late morning to sunset a...
