This was one of the nicest, cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in. Spotless reception area, and all floor corridors were shiny.
It had very friendly, helpful staff who always gave you a smile.

Free wifi, although temperamental, it did work.

Rooms were clean (fresh towels daily) and spacious. (Only fault was the shower "door" leaked so had to keep moping water up). Mirrors everywhere!

The food was lovely, good variety, and tasty. We were AI so certain drinks, snacks to choose from through the day. Lots of ice-cream with choice of flavours - banana best!

Large pool, lots of sunbeds (only one day we struggled to find them) but no tables. Had a laugh at people doing the dash after 9am! Pool opened from 930am until late (we saw people still using it until after 7pm). Towel hire (refundable) which you could swap for fresh ones whenever.

We did an excursion to Mount Tiede which was good but didn't have enough time after queuing for the cable car to walk right to the top but did get some great views.

Aqualand is good fun for the family, nice day out. Cheaper and less queuing time than Siam Park from what I was told.

Good market on Saturdays and Thursdays next to the hotel, especially for souvenirs and clothing.

We had a great 10 days here and would recommend staying here.

I have just returned home from a week at Hotel Fanabe with my 3 children (ages 8, 13 & 18) after our best holiday ever. Everything was perfect. The kids loved the pool and the various daytime activities. The evening entertainment was fantasic. Kevin and all of the animation team workef so hard to ensure everybody had a great time. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of food in the restaurant, and although we are fussy eaters there was always plenty for us to eat. The waiters were friendly, particularly Manu who had a great rapport with everybody, especially the children. My daughter couldn't stop talking about him! We will definately choose Hotel Fanabe for our next holiday. It can't come soon enough.

We stayed here in June 2013 and it's only me and my boyfriend we tend to steer clear of all inclusive as we like to eat out and also venture out during the day. On our first night we arrived quite late and decided we would have a couple of drinks and an early night, and venture out early to find our bearings as it was our first time in adeje. We went to the hotel bar and ordered two vodka and diet coke and the bill was €19.50! That made our mind up to never have a drink in her hotel as, as we found out 5 min down the road it was about €3. We had booked half board for a reasonable price so didn't mind and had planned to go out anyway. What I can say is the hotel is fantastic compared to other 4 stars we have experienced. The rooms are lovely and it was a great base for a lovely holiday. In fact we returned in the December and stayed at the sister GF hotels Isabel.

I stayed at the fañabe costa sur for the 2nd time this year with my mum, dad and little sister. The staff at reception were very welcoming, friendly and efficient upon arrival and throughout the holiday. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and cleaned daily, since our last visit in April the televisions have also been upgraded to flat screens with English channels. The entertainment throughout the day was brilliant, the entertainment team encouraged you to participate in all sorts of activities. Kevin and Sam were really funny and made the holiday that bit more fun! The food in the restaurant was lovely and I found something I could eat everyday which was good as i am a very fussy eater!! The pool area is lovely and kept clean and neat, also the sunbathing facilities on the roof are lovely aswell with amazing views and 2 small pools. Overall this hotel is one of the best I have stayed in and would definately recommend it and I certainly wouldn't let any of the negative reviews put you off!!

This hotel looks fabulous on the Thomson website. Don't believe the photos! The pictures of the pool give the impression of lots of space with everything spread out. This is trick photography!! The reality is the two blocks that appear to stretch away from each other directly face each other across the narrow pool with not much space around the edge for sunbeds. I don't understand how Thomson can continue to grossly misrepresent this hotel.

Room Tip: Have a room that does not overlook the pool

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your time and your feedback about your experience in our Hotel. Regarding this comment I would like to say that depending the availability of the Hotel, the swimming pool area vouries the capacity of the sunbeds, for example at the moment the Hotel was extended the capacity of the pool area, would also like clarify that the position of the sunbeds are done by the Hotel and these are arranged once again when the swimming pool is closed one other thing to take into account is that the our guests depending on their needs also keep moving them.

Once again thank you for your attention.

Kind regards,

We have just returned from this hotel from a 10 night stay 30/07/14 - 9/08/14 with my wife and two children aged 11 and 6, on an all invlusive basis ..... We arrived and was greeted very professionally by one of the main reception staff, he went through all we had to know..... Meal times, where the rooms were etc, so can't fault this at all....
Found our room very easily seeing the hotel was only 4 floors high, 5 including the roof top terrace with bar and 2 plunge pools... Rooms very tidy, beds very comfy, 32" lg tv with approx 6-7 english channels bbc1,2 itv, c4 sky news etc and maids always cleaned them during the day even if they were clean...so good yet again but there's we're it ended really...
I was awoken on several occasions in the middle of the morning approx 3.45am by the binmen emptying the bins( and I thought our binmen at home came early lol) especially with the sound of bottles smashing against the back of the truck and especially the sound of the truck, at one point I thought chitty chitty bang bang had turned up ;-) so be warned if your on the same side as the restaurant underneath you prepare for this.... The food started to get repetitive, plenty of choice but food tasted the same or/and stunk of fish and many times I've read this is the fact of the chefs giving you cooked meat with the same utensils which he/she had picked up raw meat ( thank god no I didn't get the shats ;-) we did eat out a good few times because of this...
The sunbeds in the morning was a complete joke... Come 9.15 -9.30 it was like feeding time at the zoo with it going completely mental, everyone who was waiting for a bed rushing to get the ones they had eyed up ( take a look at the vids on YouTube) they could of sorted this a better way, I.e like banning all Germans..... Games room very outdated, pool tables with cloth ripped, cues with tips missing, unequal balls, and the table in reception swallowing extra euros for fun....
We went to the evening show on our 2nd night in the basement, never went again during the stay as it was like being in a b@stard furnace, I lost about a stone in half hr though lol....
Had to pay for food around the pool as this was not included in the all inclusive which we thought we had gone on that basis... Not much entertainment during the day but SAMs laugh (entertainment team) made up for it ;-()
We noticed that the bar staff at night did serve the all inclusive guests quicker than the ones who weren't with drinks but we weren't to bothered about this as few got tipsier quicker lol get the blue lagoon cocktails my wife swore by them)
Overall I've been honest as I can be.... Would I return... Yes but it would have to be completely free... Do yourself a favour and look for better hotels in the costa adeje area as there are a load better ones... Don't say you haven't been warned ;-()

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your feedback about our Hotel. We regret though that we did not meet all your expectations.

With regarding to pickup garbage it is true that sometimes this service of garbage makes some noise but we are talking with them to minimize this type of issues. Thank you for this comment which helps us to improve on this aspect. I would like to inform you that our Hotel offer a big variety of foods during our breakfast lunch and dinner.

WIth respect to swimming pool we have also 2 other swimming pools on the rooftop and this area is a little more quiet. The area of disco is the zone completly refurbished and has also aire conditional and the guests watching the shows can feel comfortable.

With reference to the pool bar, the food which we offer is not for all inclusive guests but nerbay this place all our all inclusive guests can find the zone which have products special for them.

All our guests are equaly impornat for us and dosent matter whcih basis you are in, we treat them all the same.

Once again thank you for your attention and we hope to see you soon in our Hotel.

After reading reviews prior to visiting I was worried about every aspect but there was no need to be at all.

Fast check in, room massive and spotless, asked for sea view on top floor and got it. Foods is gorgeous don't know how anybody can moan about it, we were all inclusive and ate every meal there. We sunbathed on the roof terrace as only me and my partner went, lovely and quiet and relaxing there were a few kids up there but they didn't cause any problems whatsoever. Drinks plentiful but some are restricted on the AI drinks menu, but the whisky cream and the house wines are really nice.

The rooms are huge and the beds are so comfortable never had a bad nights sleep all our holiday, they are memory foam mattresses they were luxury.

Staff all helpful and are kept extremely busy they are not ignorant at all as some people had put on here. The evening entertainment could be better but it was ok.

All in all a fabulous holiday, only disappointment was the weather we had 3 days of complete cloud out of the 10 we were there but that was nothing to do with the hotel, apparently they have had a lot of cloud in July and August this year, apparently very rare for this time of year.

I would recommend this place for couples or families, great for both, Siam Park is good to visit but gets very busy and you have to queue for slides. We did a 2 hours Jet Ski Safari that was fantastic and well worth the money with dolphins swimming at the side of us.
