Just returned from a 10 day holiday at this hotel with my wife and was generally very pleased with it. Great location with easy access to the beach. The public areas are spotless and the rooms are comfortable and clean the only downside was the bathroom which was small and a little tired but the shower was great with plenty of flow and good temperature control. There is a mini-fridge and safe in the room but you have to pay for them at 4Euro and 2Euro per day – however if you stock the fridge with 40Euro worth of items from the mini bar list you get the fridge free – something they did not tell you at check in. The pool area is being renovated at present with removal/modification of the palm trees/shrubs but this is well screened from view and in no way affected the holiday with very little inconvenience so no great worry – the pool area is very nice with the two main pools great – one heated. The food and choice in the main restaurant is fine with good choice and quality but at times the place seems more like a canteen and can be noisy at busy times – staff are helpful and always busy. Evening entertainment is good and varied with acts brought in from outside so they do not rely on the animation team for this like many other hotels. The animation team do a great job during the day for both adults and children although when we were there it was mainly couples. Wifi is available at a cost 6Euro for 24hrs or 19Euro for a week but many of the local bars and restaurants nearby have free wifi. I was charged 75cents for a plastic cup with ice which is bad but not all the time and supposedly only before 7pm which penny pinching for a 4star hotel. We had a late check-out till 6pm but you need to settle your bill by 12noon on the day of departure otherwise your room key is cancelled something they did not tell you at check-in. Other than the charges for safe, fridge and sometimes ice no real complaints.

Room Tip: Choose a high floor room with marina view if you like the sun during the day or an Adeje view if you...

Visited the sister hotel The Bahia Princess 2 years ago and thought we would give this one a try.
Contacted hotel before arrival by e mail to request a higher floor room after taking on board comments by other trip advisor travellers and we were allocated a 3rd floor room which was ideal, it is certainly worth requesting as some of the lower floors have a poor view. Quiet time when we went so probably lucky and the room had a good view of the Sea and along the coast to La Calleta (almost)

The room although basic was of a reasonable size and kept very clean with bedding changes regularly and towels whenever you wanted them.
There was quite a lot of road work going on but didn't effect us until the last day when the road adjacent to the adults only sun area was being dug up. Don't think we would have been too chuffed if it had been continuous.

The food was as good as we`ve had with a good choice at breakfast and dinner. Good to see the dress code being enforced on an evening.

Very few kids there and hotel only just above half full so when full things might be a bit hectic.

The evening entertainment was very good at times with the occasional blip with the obligatory parrots, owls and a poor mans elvis. If selective ok.

WI Fi expensive but all bars have it free around the hotel.

Refrigerator also expensive 4 euros a day but if you buy 40 euros worth of drinks for the mini bar fridge is free.

Not sure how long the building / road works are going on for but you might be unlucky and get stuck with it.

There was some noise from revellers til about 11pm but generally not an issue.

Room Tip: Rooms in the Main building above second floor have better outlook. Be wary of rooms at garden level...

Having read endless reviews we decided to book this hotel. The thing most mentioned is the noise in this hotel, please believe it. We were there between the 18-25 April which was during the Easter holidays, so we expected it to be busy which was totally understandable. What we didn't expect was to firstly be given a room on level 3 which, although you enter the hotel at ground level, it is actually level 5 so you go to the lift expecting to go up, when in fact you go down and when you get out of the lift the pool, with all it's noise, is above you and you are walking along what feels like, underground corridors. We didn't like it and so, although being told that there were no other rooms available, the very helpful lady on reception did find us another room, which on first inspection was great on level 4. However, upon returning to the room with our cases the noise started. Room 421 is only feet away from the air hockey/pool tables which are in use day and night up until 10.45 pm. As we had been told that no other rooms were available, even paying to upgrade again as we had already done upon booking, we felt we had no choice but to stay put. Couldn't have a sleep in the afternoon due to the noise of the tables. Our room was between a family who were together and, despite apologising for the noise they were making, were completely inconsiderate. Even when they were just talking normally in their rooms, you could here as there didn't appear to be much in the way of soundproofing. The bathrooms have dark green tiles which make it feel very dark as there isn't a window either and the glass shower door doesn't move so, due to the position of the toilet, it is very awkward stepping in and out of the bath and could also be dangerous. Also if you have children difficult to bath/shower them I would think. There is a road to one side of the hotel so you do get some traffic noise. From 7 am our corridor was the main route for wheelie bins/trolleys, which sounded like trains going past, to be pushed long with staff talking as they did so. Not sure why, but every day we returned to our room in the afternoon, the cleaner left our patio door ajar, didn't think this was good for security! I would say that the food is plentiful and very good for breakfast, as we like to go out and eat in the evenings and this hotel doesn't offer breakfast only, we only ate dinner twice which was good. Due to the size of the hotel the dining hall does feel a bit like a canteen as it is large and busy. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is clean and in a good location. There are plenty of sun beds, you really don't have to reserve them. Can't really comment on evening entertainment as we only watched one show on the first night, but probably a good place to go if you have children. You are charged if you want a clean pool towel, I think it was €1.20, €19 for the week for wifi, or €6 per day, there is a charge for the safe and the fridge! All the above is why I say it's a room lottery as had we had a room in a different location, we might of enjoyed our stay but we would not return due to the complete lack of sleep. I am waiting for a response from Thomson holidays as I did speak to the rep at the hotel regarding the position of the air hockey/pool tables and have emailed them on my return.

Room Tip: Do not stay in room 421 if you want to sleep.

We were checked in by inexperienced member of reception staff. I had sent two emails, requesting higher floor in quiet position. This person assured me that the room that we have been allocated is very desirable. We took it to be so. After spending our first night, that we could not sleep, because of the noise coming from bar downstairs where evening entertainment takes place. We asked receptionist next morning for change of room, but I was told that we had to wait further 2 days before they can do so ( our holidays was for 7 days). Our room was on 2nd floor. I met several people who had similar stories regarding the noise. There was also confusion on how to pay for our drinks. Different messages given by restaurant staff and reception staff. Pool area was NOT clean. There were cigarette ends and tissue left uncollected for days. My wife and I arranged a meeting with guest relation manager-Mr Francisco Armas Gonzales, who was totally unconcerned of our dilemma and did not help us. I have travelled widely and I think there are far better hotels you can choose. Location was most desirable, food was good. Children were uncontrolled and were allowed to run around on dance floor as late as 10-30 PM
We went for a week for relaxing holiday, but were glad to return home, stressed and tired. BEWARE!!!

Room Tip: Do not accept rooms on 1st & 2nd floors. Might be OK on 3rd. floor.

This was a beautiful hotel and the food was lovely. My one complaint is that some of the rooms are underneath the swimming pool area and they are very noisy you can hear sunbeds being dragged around and one morning about 5.30am for over an hours a lady in heels was walking up and down, very annoying. Also, by our room they decided to do some building work which included drilling into stone, we complained twice and it did stop eventually.

Room Tip: We upgraded to a Junior Suite, it was larger, with a sea view, however it was very noisy as the pool...

Just a word of advice, pool refurbishment is taking place from 6th May to 1st July from 09.30 to 18.30. Thomson informed me by email, but do not answer on the phone number provided to discuss the situation. Of course they say the noise, dirt and dust will be kept to a minimum, however they say in the email we have the option of going to another hotel in their group to use their pool or we can always go to the nearby beach ! Great spending a fortune for a quiet relaxing holiday at 4 star hotel and this is what you get. So far have spent a fortune today trying to get Thomson on the phone, when you get on the queue you wait and wait, over 90 mins so far and counting. If you miss these dates hotel is normally good.
