“Don't let the pool upgrade put you off.”
Reviewed 2 June 2014 via mobile

Don't let the pool upgrade put you off, it's cordoned off well and the other pool is still open. Yes there is a bit of drilling but not bad at all and when the music is on for the aqua gym you can't hear it. The dust is minimal and again well sealed off.
The staff, Thomson's reps and animation team are all great, they can't do enough to please you!
The food is plentiful and to a very good standard, you will always find something for any taste.
The evening entertainment is varied but usually 2 acts every evening. Don't miss the 3 Tenors and Mister Sister, both excellent and we enjoyed an acrobatic act too, think it was called Hong Kong, the Bee Gees and the Drifters.
Rooms are very clean but about ready for an update, as is the bar seats and dining room seats but very impressive marble stairway with lovely leather seats.
My only serious criticism is that they should provide free Wifi as everyone uses the internet these days, although you can get free wifi in most of the bars around the Hotel but that's not the point, it's a 4 star Thomson Platinum Hotel and I feel should be available at no additional charge.

Had a weeks stay here and the hotel is clean with friendly professional staff. Nice welcome at check in. Room was average size, we had a room to the side of the hotel overlooking apartments across the road but a good sea view. Our room had the sun in the afternoon so it was lovely and hot on the balcony. Hard beds though, not the best comfort. One thing the hotel didn't have as a kettle in the room so to have a cup of coffee in the morning, we had to make sure we went down to breakfast to get one.
Breakfasts were ok but have had better in the same star rated hotels. Evening meals were ok, lots of choice but some of the quality could have been better. And with evening meals it was busy with everyone walking around trying to see what there was to eat. So personally next time think we prefer smaller size hotels. We did make the choice to eat out 3 nights but this wasn't because of the hotel food, we thought it would make a change as the hotel has the 1 restaurant. Some have the option of another but this hotel didn't. Pool area good, good choice of pool bars , lovely ice creams! Nice to have the option of the beach across the road. In the evenings the main bar is good. Good friendly service, nice cocktails!
We had to pay 2 euro per day for the safe which Thomsons didn't say. Plus also the hotel wanted 4 euros per day to use the fridge in the room but they could forget that. Plenty of shops, bars ,restaurants and supermarkets around outside. Also spar shop close to the beach did all sandwiches and stuff to have a picnic on the beach.
Our stay was good and the weather was brilliant, I would definately go to costa Adeje again but I think I would prefer a smaller hotel. But this hotel has the perfect location, right in the middle.

Room Tip: Email them requesting a sea view. They won't get back to you as they are tied to thomsons, but w...

Good hotel for price paid. Had problems with room but it was changed immediately. Staff all very nice, lovely surroundings and quite luxurious in places made us feel really special. Handy for the lovely promenade walks. all the way through Playa de Americas to Los Christianas one way and to the lovely Quaint La Caleta the other way.The restuarant and staff were very oblidgeing and would cook things longer or shorter to your liking, only problem was ready laid out buffet which was not always hot enough for our liking and no microwave!!! On the whole a good holiday.

Just returned from a fortnight at this hotel. We arrived with some reservation due to work being carried out on one of the pools. Need not have worried as this had no effect on ourselves whatsoever. The noise was not excessive and the area was screened off although this may not be the case in all rooms so check before you go.
Rooms were very clean with towels and sheets changed regular. Food was good with a decent selection although still nice to eat out once in a while.
Would have no hesitation in returning or recommending to others.

Recently returned from another lovely trip to this hotel. Doing some work on the pool and terraces but this did not affect us at all and we got upgraded to full board for the duration of our stay. We asked for a room we have stayed in previously and was lucky enough to be given it again. We hade sea view and mountain views without having to pay extra for this. Food is good and can always find something to eat. Entertainment was generally good, the usual tribute acts. Recommend this hotel. Will return again for my 6th visit for definite so long as we can get a good price.

Went to this hotel 3 times during 2013, once for Christmas and New Year (when the special days were made extra special for all guests and the atmosphere was amazing), once in July with a friend and then decided to go again in August/September as a couple - and I would return again!

Pool area is great - one heated pool and a larger, colder pool perfect for cooling down in the summer months. There's always a good atmosphere with music playing (although not too loud) and plenty of activities from aqua aerobics to water polo (at Christmas there were 'pool parties' where both kids and adults joined in having fun on a big inflatable slide).

Food - I don't understand why some people say the food here gets repetitive! There's always plenty of choice and I managed to have something different every night! The food is always perfectly cooked and fresh, which was lovely to see! Would recommend staying here for Christmas and New Year's Eve when the staff put on a sit down three course meal which was lovely and everyone was having such a good time!

Entertainment - entertainment was put on every night, always something different for each day of the week and the staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. A really good animation team.

Hotel & Room - the hotel itself is lovely. Felt like an A-lister when I first walked in and someone was playing a grande piano at the bar during check in. Decor is lovely as you can probably see from photos. The rooms are nice and big, comfy beds, nice balcony and all have views of the sea. Safe at an extra charge and tv which is free to watch.

Location - I looked at other hotels whilst on holiday here but can't find one in a better location than this one. It's right on the beachfront but the location isn't too loud. The beach offers endless amounts of water activities which were great and of a decent price and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from for some lunch (although the hotel offer some lovely food for decent prices at lunchtime). Come out of the back of the hotel and turn right, you end up in the lovely up-market area of Del Duque with lovely cocktail bars and live music overlooking del duque beach, turn left and you end up in a more lively bay with plenty of bars and restaurants. Siam park is a must go, only 5 minutes in a taxi (which are very cheap compared to British taxis) and is the best waterpark I've been to outside of Orlando, Florida. Las Americas strip is only a 10 minute taxi ride away too which is a good night out for the younger generation.

All in all this is a lovely hotel and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to go to tenerife. There's no doubt that I will be returning again for my fourth visit!

The hotel was very clean and most of te staff are quite pleasant. Not being able to smoke on the balcony was a bit of a pest as you had to go poolside or outside the main entrance.
Paying the bill for the room was supposed to be straight forward, having been told I could pay by cash, I withdrew the amount from the cash machine located in the reception area, only to then be told by a different member of staff that I could only pay by card. I then had to contact the bank to have emergency funds transferred. Anyway, the food was very nice and as we visited in May, the wait was manageable.
Enough loungers for all and here was really no need to place towels on beds and ridiculous times in the morning. Its a shame that there was works being carried out on the main pool, however, we was upgraded to full board because of this.
Don't let all negative posts put you off (including mine), defo worth he money
