Customer service was great even before we arrived. I;d emailed reception about a couple of issues and got a quick and really helpful response from Mario. Check in was smooth, rapid and professional (as was check out) and the high level of customer service was maintained throughout our stay. Service in the various bars was quick and friendly, waiting times in the restaurant were minimal even at busy times and cleaning staff kept the hotel spotlessly clean.
Our room was a good size, well equipped and very comfortable. The balcony wasn't the biggest but it was fine and the sea view was well worth the extra.
Food in the restaurant was good but no more than that. Omelettes at breakfast were very good but although there was a good range of meals for dinner the quality was sometimes limited,
We stayed half board so can't comment of the AI issues - although i did notice that people on AI were served a different wine.
The much discussed building work wasn't an issue for us. Heard very little noise so no problems.
All in all, another hugely enjoyable stay and we'll be back after the planned renovation is complete.

Room Tip: High floor is a good idea and a sea view is well worth the extra.

lovely reception and very friendly staff. our room was opposite the building that was being refurbished. yes they started at 8am and finished at 6pm some did continue to work later but making very little noise it did not bother us at all. during the day the animation team kept us occupied with games which was good fun. one of the team had a very strange laugh which we found hillarious. night time entertainment was good with kids mini disco followed by 2 very good acts. the food was lovely varied and very hot with hot plates. daily snacks were lovely too fresh pizzas freshly cooked chips chicken nuggets toaster sandwiches burgers.. drinks were nice and you got plenty. overall we had a great time and will go back when the refurbishment is done. then i will probably give it a 5 instead of a 4 because as with all the other reviews i agree the rooms are dates and tired.

I stayed at this hotel along with my husband 5th to 12th November. The hotel was clean and well kept though it is a little dated. Our room was on the 1st floor as requested a sea view though as our room was on a low floor the sea view was only just visible, none the less it was a pleasant room and well kept. Food in the restaurant was plentiful and of a reasonable good standard, I could always find something that I enjoyed both breakfast and evening meal times. The hotel wasn't full at this time of year but I can imagine in the high season the restaurant would be extremely busy and noisy. The evening entertainment was actually quite good , we found it better than we have had in other hotels. One thing I think should be addressed is that the children in the hotel should be made to stay away from the front of the dance floor and entertainment after say 9 o'clock, they have had their time and fun , so it should be for the adults. The hotel is in an excellent position, close to the beach , bars , shops and buses. Pool and sunbathing areas are lovely, also adults only terrace but again could become very crowded in high season. I would happily return to the Guayarmina and probably will after the refurbishment. One other thing wifi should be free in this day and age, it's quite expensive to use the hotels. Also we had to pay for the use of the safe but not the fridge but we could still use it. I don't think you should be expected to pay for these facilities.

Stayed at this hotel 24th October 2017 for 1 week were to start ,was put in a room opposite a building site work started 7-30am and went on till 8pm a ND on 3 nights was working till 1am in the morning they worked with spot lights unbelievable ,the hotel is very tired and needs a revamp I've stayed in nicer 3 star hotels ,the good parts are food plenty of choice and very nice staff very friendly ,we paid a lot of money for this hotel and was very dissatisfied would I stay there again a big NO

Our stay at this hotel was ok, rooms cleaned every day to a high standard, Food was sometimes only average, all inclusive white wine and cocktails were of poor quality ,I am not a wine snob but the white wine was to say the very least very unimaginative and watery!.The staff were very friendly and helpfull with nothing too much trouble. One bad point that needs addressing is smoking, as many smokers sit in the exit from the foyer to the pool area and you have to walk through it and the smoke drifts into the foyer constantly. The hotel overall is good with plenty of sunbeds and superb views of the sea. It never seems crowded on the sun terraces or communal areas . The animation was mostly very good and the waiters and bar staff excellent. Would I stay here again ? Well the hotel is due a major refurbishment next year 2018 so I expect the management will have sorted out the niggles by then and I would be delighted to return.
