“Beautiful place - fantastic first family holiday.”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

We recently (July 2014) spent a week staying at the Royal Garden Villas and this was our first family holiday away with our 9 month old little girl. Having stayed at some beautiful hotels around the world, we didn't want to sacrifice luxury just because we were going away with our baby and we were certainly not disappointed with the Royal Garden Villas. The villas were absolutely gorgeous, spacious and very clean. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome by the staff and the small touches around the villa, (e.g. big cuddly teddy bears, her own melamine dinner service, rubber ducks for the bath) for our baby girl were most appreciated. Having our own pool was ideal too as our little one enjoyed several splashes in the pool each day and there was room on the terrace to bring the travel cot provided by the hotel outside during the day so she could play outside in the shade.

The staff in the hotel were all extremely pleasant and helpful and on the whole we felt very comfortable and welcome staying here with our baby. We did get the occasional disapproving sort of look at breakfast from a minority of other guests as if to say "what are you doing here with a baby?/that baby better not make any noise" but this did not really bother us.

The location for us was ideal being away from the busier resort but you definitely need a car if you stay here and want to get about. There are two big local supermarkets just a few minutes drive from the hotel and during the day we enjoyed eating in the villa but in the evenings tended to drive down to the resort area to try out the waterfront restaurants.

Overall, a gorgeous place to stay. Would definitely recommend to others and would consider staying here again if we do travel back to Tenerife.

Room Tip: The villas are next to road which does have some traffic noise but this was not too bad. I understa...

This is a wonderful place. The accommodation is outstanding and all the Staff are so helpful, and quite lovely, as nothing is too much trouble. We have enjoyed the gym, squash court and spa. We also enjoyed the golf driving range during our first week, but, we cannot only not use the range, but the second week of our holiday has been spoilt by the noisy construction of a huge scaffolding stage for a concert. We have been holidaying by a building site; no more lie-ins as the noise starts before 9am and no more sunbathing as the workmen keep looking at the balconies. We feel so sorry for Royal Villas, and indeed, we feel sorry for the people staying in our villa, as this concert will be literally in their face, thanks to the inconsiderate management of the Costa Adeje Golf Driving Range. We will return to this glorious hotel/villa/spa, but check dates.

Room Tip: The road was noisy at times, but not a problem; however the construction of the scaffolding stage o...

I have just returned from a 4 night 25th anniversary break with my wife. It was my first time and even though it is a 5 star resort it went beyond my expectations. On arrival you go through two locked wooden doors that when opened make you feel you are entering a secret hideaway. You walk over the beautiful bridge over the pool and into reception where you are given a glass of cava while you check in. We stayed in the Majestic villa. It was beautiful and a great size with a large balcony with two `lovebeds` and 4 sun loungers and unterrupted views of the mountains and the sea. The pool was refreshing during the day and like a hot tub in the late evening. We ate in the restaraunt each night and the food and service were fantastic. We also enjoyed live entertainment on the last night for something different. The attendance was poor (no-one's fault) but the singer was perfect for the evening (romantic smooth songs). All the staff are very helpful and pleasant and each day someone knocks on your day to see if you need anything. They also offer you some chocs and give you some trip suggestions for the the next day. I drive a mobility scooter and found it easily accessible. Only a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport too (Sun Transfers excellent). I can't wait to go again with my daughter (felt bad for not taking her:))

Room Tip: Majestic Villa was perfect

Dear guests,
It was lovely to meet you and we are so pleased you have had such a nice time. Our dinner al fresco by the pool is so pleasant with the spectacular views and our wonderful weather, some times it's quieter than others but we like to think of this as an extra service for a change once a week and it's never too busy which is nice too !. Looking forward to seeing you again with your daughter!
Kindest regards
The Managment.

Spent 3 days at the RGV back in March 2014. Was very impressed with all aspects of this hotel. No overpowering service, friendly reception and fabulous accommodation. Hardly left the villa for 3 days. Good to see the private pools have running water flowing into them which avoids it being the stagnant un-usable pools these often turn into. Quite expensive but not ridiculous, and mini bar etc was quite reasonable. Recall many comments on here moaning about road noise, but never found it an issue and my room was on the lowest roadside level.

We're entering our second week here and it's the best accommodation that we have ever stayed at. So relaxing, beautiful villas - we are in the one bedroom Duchess villa, with large tastefully decorated rooms, four poster bed, amazing bathroom with best shower ever, bath etc. lots of lovely touches in the villa. It has two large screen TVs ( great for World Cup - has all normal british channels) and DVD players in bedroom and lounge. Great patio with loungers, couch, plunge pool. Breakfasts lovely, dinner great, but too rich to eat here every night. Need hire car. Big underground garage.driving no problem. Fantastic place!

Spent an amazing relaxing week in a great oasis of a hotel. We were made to feel very special from arrival to departure by staff who were attentive without being overpowering. Any queries were answered quickly and efficiently, and the staff were most helpful with suggesting and assisting with arranging tours and taxis. Our villa was equipped with everything you could need and the décor made it even more special. The pool was the icing on an already perfect cake. We utilised all the food choices and found them to be excellent. The Italian restaurant in La Calleta is definitely somewhere to dine and would advise you to speak to the hotel to arrange a booking as very popular. We acknowledge there is some road noise, however, that is to be expected in light of the Hotel being located between two roads, but we did not find that it detracted from the relaxing environment provided by the hotel. We will definitely be returning and hope that the hotel does not change anything.

I've been to this part of Tenerife on at least 10 occasions and have stayed in some of the finest hotels including Bahia Del Duque, Jardines De Nivaria, Salome suites and more. This wipes the floor with them all. The villas are fantastic. The quality of furnishings and attention to detail takes a while to absorb. Everywhere you look you see something you haven't before. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable and I have never seen so many staff per guest. It's very peaceful and relaxing and I cannot do this place justice with a small review.

There have been some comments about the road but I was in a villa overlooking road and it was fine. It could be an airport runway and I'd still come back to these villas. A relaxing villa holiday with all the facilities of a 5 star hotel.

The best I have ever stayed in and arguably the best in Tenerife. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: They are all good. Higher floors get longer sun
