What a surprise, we went on the 20/05/2014 and I was hoping fingers cross that it was going to be a good one, ( iv been to some where the photo is really nice and the hotel was from years past) but it was really nice, clean can't say enough about the staff, not one was bad and helpful to a fault, what ever you wanted they would do for you or at least try, and they all had a smile on there faces and they where not false smiles thank you so much another great visit to tenerife. I think you get more than your money's worth a 3star hotel with a 5 star service.

Room Tip: You would be pleased with any off there rooms

Rooms are spacious as apartments and they are cleaned 5 times per week. Shower is very powerful. Few cockroaches seen but it's hot
Tv in room is coin operated

Poolside is clean and well maintained . Downside they charge 2 euro for umbrella and 2 euro if want cushion for lounger ( hard white plastic type so it's bit rough without)

Entertainment is non existent in the day - nothing at all for kids . At night fashion show, dancing parrots , hold a snake , the usual stuff in a mid range , it last in,y about 1.5 hours
All inc bar stops at 23.00 sharp and no lotion to buy more despite saying open till midnight

Food is a good choice of meat and fish dishes. Not a guaranteed veggie dish though so beware.

All in all,for the price was a decent place which is return to. Very nice staff
I'd recommend soul bar over road run by Sebastian, a New Yorker who sings like a dream, open till 3am and dorado 2euro a pint

Stayed here for from 3-6 May, little getaway with my boyfriend Andy, last minute idea but such a lovely break. Arrived at hotel, greeted by very friendly lady at reception, who booked us in very quickly and advised us that our room was ready even though check in was not until 2pm, we had requested pool/seaview but we were only staying in a studio, reception lady said she had put us on a high floor and hoped the room was to our satisfaction, apologising that she had not been able to put us in room with seaview. The room was very spacious with a lovely view of the Ocean Beach apartments and pool very relaxing, lovely veranda. The room was very clean and comfy, could not say otherwise. After quickly unpacking we headed down to the restaurant, good size no long wait to be served with drinks either, barman was very friendly, good selection of food, all of which looked very appetising, could not fault food choice in anyway. The hotel is located short walk from the beach and harbour, as you come out of hotel you turn right and right again walk down path to beach and harbour, we have visited Tenerife on many occasions so knew exactly where we were. As you come out of the hotel and turn right if you stay on that road you have good selection of bars such as the Rumpot and Irish rover, great entertainment, cheap and very cheerful, some fabulous nights, over the road is Alex's bar if you fancy watching the footy also bargain prices for drinks. After tea one night we had a look at entertainment in hotel, Van was the hotel singer, also bingo caller, bless he did try to get everyone involved. Moving on to the pool area, beautiful you could sit and chill at pool bar overlooking sea, was amazing, no sunbed dash, peaceful and tranquil. Pool was decent size and also had kiddys pool, snack bar was fantastic offering, pizza, hotdogs, burgers, toasties etc all cooked to order, staff friendly too, worked hard all day. Pool was good temp, also spotless. I can only say both me and my boyfriend totally chilled out on this little break and did not want to come home, lazy days in the sun sipping sangria, lots to do around the area and within close proximity of all you need. Will we be going back to this hotel? I would not hesitate and would be back there in a flash, weather was amazing also. Both my boyfriend and I had looked at some negative reviews but enjoyed a positive experience, go see for yourself!! Well on that note I think I have covered almost everything and would like to say thankyou to all the staff who made my Birthday Getaway one to remember, see you soon x

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor

My family and I stayed here for a week at easter, the hotel is in a great location, staff are very friendly and helpful, you do have to pay for your sunbed mattress and umbrella but we didn't bother with either. The food was edible and there was plenty to choose from and the snacks around the pool bar were also ok, you had a choice of burgers, pizza, hotdogs and cheese/ham toasties. There wasn't any problem with the service at the bar and measures were good. The rooms were a good size and cleaned everyday apart from Thursday and Sundays and towels changed every day. If you can, request a room from 4th floor up as 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors are below ground level and there would be no sea view. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around the hotel and good shopping centres. Would definitely recommend and we are looking at going back in August .

Had a nice holiday for a week for a 50th Birthday celebration. 20 of us went and for the price it was ok. Definitely in need of a refurb, the corridors were very dull and dismal and it seemed a bit of a maze when we first arrived. The staff were lovely...all but one...a large blonde lady/girl with her hair tied back tightly in a bun...miserable as sin she was!
The food wasn't fantastic..very basic and more or less the same every night..the drinks were very strong and plentiful. The entertainment was as in most hotels...quite basic but they tried and like I say were very pleasant. Our room was quite big and was kept clean although no aircon..and you had to pay to watch a big old tv!
The pool area was ok..basic plastic sunbeds and if you wanted to have a bit more comfort you had to pay for the cushioned covers :( The staff again though in the pool bar were very pleasant and the snacks were lovely.
We did have a lovely time because there was so many of us so we made our own entertainment.
On the down side on the last day (glad to say it was the last and not the first) I came out of our room to board our waiting coach when I slipped on the floor where the maids had already cleaned....didn't realise how wet it was until I was on the floor...I hurt my elbow and my back...there were no signs to say that the floor was wet and because the coach was waiting I didn't have time to tell reception...so I hobbled out of the hotel as we said our goodbyes.

Room Tip: Try and get a pool view!

I will just endorse really what other people have said. You get what you pay for.... We paid just £650 for all inclusive in the hotel (booked through onthebeach) - for a family of four including 14 year old twins. Bargin!

Yes - the hotel did seem a bit tired looking and needed a refurb... However, we found: the staff were really nice and helpful (when we checked it it was 20.50 and we only had 10 mins until dinner closed - the receptionist looked after our bags and rushed us through so we wouldn't miss it). The food was nice although a bit samey (loved the freshly baked onion rolls every day - and the soup was wonderful. Try the pumpkin soup - it was great). The drinks were strong and the bar staff friendly (free bottles of water to take to your rooms). The rooms were big - well our room (705) was one of the biggest rooms we have ever stayed in - and was great as we had our big fourteen year old twins on the sofa beds in the living area. Everything in the hotel was clean... The location was good, Not far to walk down the slope to the beach (which was nice) and not far to walk into Los Christianos and Playa De Las Americas.

On the downside, as mentioned previously, the hotel decor was a bit "dated". There was also absolutely no shade around the pool (unless you paid extra for umbrellas). The 2 swimming pools were a bit basic (although there was no nonsense about putting your towels out early to reserve sunbeds - we went down to the pool at 10am everyday and never had problems getting beds). And finally the entertainment at the hotel in the evening was a bit pants. This wasn't a problem as us and the kids were more than happy to venture out every night.... Places like The Irish Rover served four (very strong) vodkas and tonic for Euro 7 (until 11pm) and 6 bottles of Bud or Miller for Euro 8.....

So in summary - we got a bargin holiday and were pleased with what we got. It wasn't luxury - but we enjoyed it as much as we did the price.

Room Tip: 7th Floor and above give you a good view. We have room 705 which was excellent... On the 7th and 8th...
