“first time to tenerife”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

arrived at hotel at night.first impressions very clean and very helpful reception staff.studio fairly large with room being cleaned 5 times weekly.had tv but had to pay for extra channels but we didnt watch that much.large balcony. breakfast consisted of toast/croissants/pain chocolate, cereals plus yogurts, cheese, cold meatsetc plus full English with tea, coffee, juice.there wwas very little queing at either of the meal times on occasion waited 5 minutes for burger/hotdog at pool bar.alcoholic drinks were plentiful as were soft drinks and bottled water.the food was of very good quality and only 3 times did we venture out for meals but these were for special occasions with friends.entertainment was limited but darts.pool tables and table tennis were available. I would have no hesitation returning to this hotel. provision of kettle and either a fan or air conditioned would have made this an excellent review and would deserve a 4 **** rating.

Room Tip: reception is on 4th floor so book floors 5 - 8.

Myself, my 8 year old and 14 year old stayed here last week. I love Costa Adeje as a resort it has everything that you need. The location of this hotel was perfect, a 10 minute steady walk to the beach and it is surrounded by great bars, restaurants and shops. It is really clean with nice facilites. The pool area is great, it has new imitation grass all around which is a really nice change to red hot slippy tiles.
There is always things going on in the day, my kids did the aquarobics, yoga, boulles, ping pong and darts. The guy that looked after the entertianment was brilliant. Ther ewas only him but he was so enthusiastic and passionate about his job that there were always loads of people doing the activities. I have been on onther holidays where I have felt a little intimidated doing the activites but i was totally at ease here. He also run the evening entertainment. This consisted of your standard Parrot Show / Snake Show etc which is what you expect. There was bingo every night which my kids totally loved and he made it fun too. There was not a whole lot for kids to do at night, there are a couple of pool tables but that is about it. I think the hotel needs a few gaming machines / table football etc.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are a good size. The TV has free Sky News but if you want to watch other chanels it 1euro for an hour.
The food was really nice, not the usual "meat in sauce" everynight. There were always a selection of Pork Chops, Chicken Breast, Beef Steaks, Lam Chops, Gammon Steaks, vegetables, New Potatoes, chips, Pasta and Sauce and also a nice Salad Bar. My kids had burgers and toasties around the pool every day too.
We went to Siam Park for the day (3rd time I have been) it was awesome as usual. 34euros per adult but worth every penny. The free bus picks up right outside of the door but it is also just a 10 minute walk.
I would recommend this hotel for families and couples, not so much for young groups of people. I would come back here for a nice relaxing holday. I will def be back to Adeje.

Room Tip: Request a room above the 3rd floor as below that, they are under ground. Also overlooking the pool i...

Myself and 16 of my family and friends have just got back from my Hen weekend where we stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. There are only 2 negatives I could give this hotel, being the check in was delayed by an hour and a half for 3 out of the 5 rooms we booked (we arrived at 14:00 but could not utilise 3 rooms until 15:30 due to them being cleaned) and we had to check out at 12:00 and had our all inclusive bands cut off - yet lunch did not open until 13:00 so we had to skip a meal and buy any snacks we wanted ourselves.
Other than these minor issues all 16 of us could not fault the hotel in any other way. The food was great with alcohol and soft drinks on a steady flow, the pool area was extremely clean and was laid with Astro turf - fantastic to lay on if the sunbeds were short, however did get VERY hot under foot in the heat of the sun! The hotel was very close to the beach and the Veronicas strip in Playa de las Americas was just a short 5 minute and 5-10 Euro trip away.
We were expecting dark and dingy rooms with no windows after reading reviews on how the rooms on floors 1 through to 3 were all underground. I have to say this is what surprised us the most! While we cannot speak for Floor 1, the rooms on Floors 2 and 3 (whilst downstairs) are in no way underground. Each room has a very spacious veranda area, and the rooms themselves (Studio Apartments to sleep 3 people) could comfortably fit 4!
The highlight of our trip would have to be the lady on front desk Christina. She was extremely helpful and did everything she could to ensure we had everything we needed. This is not to say any of the other staff were unpleasant - they were all fantastic - it just so happened that Christina stood out to us as a group.
I would highly recommend to anyone going to Tenerife that Hotel Adeje Beach is well worth a visit. I would definitely come back and stay here if I ever came back to Tenerife.

Room Tip: Cannot comment on Floor 1 as we did not venture that far, however all rooms from floor 2-8 are fanta...

There were lots of good things about this Hotel. Very clean, lovely staff and good food though a bit boring after 3 weeks. The pool area was very pleasant. Our accommodation had a kitchen but there were very few items in it, not even any cups. I asked for some and received 2 odd ones and no saucers. The entertainment room was not good and the drinks were poor quality.

Room Tip: Request a pool view

Firstly i want to say that like so many others have stated before that after reading sooooo many bad/negative reviews i was also very worried about this hotel. HOWEVER- C'MON REALLY, those people do need to take a reality check- you book a 3*, you pay for a 3*and of course you get a 3*.......There are good and bad points ( what 3* doesn't???) i know that peoples opinions differ, but this is possibly as true as it gets.... So i will start with the GOOD POINTS: friendly staff, clean hotel(rooms 5 out of 7 daily) , 3 pools(2 good sized,1 kids pool which is heated) ,outside snack bar open outside restaurant hours.snack meaning just that (toasties are better than hot dogs and burgers) free ice-cream aswell, slip free astro-turf around pool area which is better than tiles, great location of hotel ( bars and shops just outside/aswell as just down the hill) beach is 5-10 min walk, aqua park just over the road for and a larger water park(siam) which is a short free bus ride that picks you up right outside of hotel, free sauna/jacuzzi/gym and squash court available at hotel, beer is very good called reina and spirit measures are plentifull( although don't expect high quality spirits) and finally great big spacious rooms at the front of hotel(appartment rooms) on 3rd floor upwards with great views of coastline. BAD POINTS: although i thought that the food was ok for my liking i must admit that it wasn't hot and the meat was very random(either over cooked, under cooked)so be careful when selecting the meat!!! but you will not starve at this hotel and for a nice change there are plenty of nice, cheap places close by aswell, the entertainment is of very low standard(luca did his very best but with limited resources) the kids seemed to enjoy the nightly shows more than adults which consists of snake/parrot/erotic dancer/magic shows etc.... but again there are good lively bars just outside of hotel, and finally(most important) the rooms- as i did i requested the top floor-infact 801 as 3rd floor below is very dire and i felt sorry for the people down there with no views and dark and dingy like dungeons- so please request 3rd floor upwards on pool/sea view side (apartment rooms) as studio rooms are on the other side of hotel. ALL IN ALL don't be put off as this really is a good 3 star hotel and costa adeje is a great place and will definately be coming back!!!!!!

I wish we had paid attention to the bad reviews because they are mostly true, but no we decided to go with the good reviews cos we aren't particularly fussy ppl but boy are we sorry now. Arrived at the hotel where there is no customer parking and parking nearby is hard to find but fair enough it states no parking. Go up to our apt/room, We are a family of 3 and our room has two single beds, we ring reception to ask for a different room to be told they will bring us up a bed so we are happy. We went down for a drink and come back to find a filthy, rusty camp bed practically sitting on the floor for my son to sleep in, on complaining we got a better bed but not a great start. The beds are really uncomfortable and the pillows are like a sheet of cardboard. The fully equipped apt kitchen came with one glass, one plate, knife, fork etc, if u did eat in I guess u were supposed to take turns, Our towels were only changed twice in the week, the second time being the day we were leaving and the room was only cleaned 4 days. The rooms have no aircon which this time of year is sickly and the tv is coin operated which is a complete rob as is the hotel wifi at 2 euro for 40 mins and at that its very slow. The food is edible but only edible, there is nothing nice about it, four of our 7 nights there was lamb chops on the menu and 3 of the nights beef stew, plenty more repeats too during the week. The entertainment consists of one man, he does the daytime volley ball, darts etc of which young kids are not included and then at night he does the bingo, he sings, does quizzes and so on, a few shows came in during the week but yet again as budget and basic as u can get, the kiddies disco which normally in a hotel is entertainment staff all kitted out and having fun with the kids is in this hotel a dvd put on a tv and if they wanna watch it good and well. If u are travelling with kids then definitely avoid this hotel, its full of hen parties and crowds of younger ppl who can be heard at 4, 5 and 6 coming in shouting and roaring, one night a couple in a room close by had a huge row, the room was being smashed up and the threats being made were scary, I am only glad my son managed to sleep through it however I wasn't as lucky. The genuinely only good thing about this hotel is that it is in walking distance of a nice area for food and drinks. It really ruined our holiday and as someone who has gone on many all inclusive holidays it has put me right off it, I will never go all inclusive again, our only happy memories of the last week were the ones when we left the hotel. Also the dreaded cockroach sightings are also true.

Room Tip: choose a room above the 4th floor cos the first 3 floors are under ground, higher floors might keep...
