this hotel is pretty close to everything and about 15 mins walk to the beach. Nice pool with a bar selling reasonably priced drinks. our favourite restaurant was marios which was close by. the rooms were a little bit dated but we're comfortable and spacious and cleaned daily. good friendly staff. A not bad place to stay.

Stayed June 13 and June 14. For the price you are paying you are hard pressed to find better.

Opt for 1 bedroom apartments if you're staying a week, little extra in price but you get a fairly private patio area with table and chairs and sunbeds, they are a great suntrap and get the sun until 9pm, excellent for an evening snooze.

The free Satelite TV is a great bonus. probably a 36" flat screen tv with remote and HDMI / USB input, figure it out and get the right leads and you can take your favourite films to upscreen from your tablet. A good 20 or so channels BBC1 & 2. ITV 1 & +1 and Channel 4 are all fairly reliable, sometimes losing picture for a second or two, but hey, it's free.

Bathroom and kitchen areas are usable, you can easily cook in there, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge/freezer all 10 yrs old or so, with limited and mixed varitety of pans and crockery. The fittings/units tiles etc I'd go with circa 25 years old and should have been replaced.

Great bonus to the place is the pool area, new pool (completed 2010) with excellent and plentiful sunbeds and parasols. Pool is never too busy. There is a poolside cafe/bar but I rarely used it, bit steep for a poolside bar but the food is edible enough.

Other things of note, wifi for the room is 5euro a day (no cheaper weekly rate) but limited to 1 device so choose wisely. I took it at around 2pm and was told it was for the day but actually went dead at around midday the following day. Stand fans are 2euro a day with a 3 euro deposit, which can be well worth it if you are having a night off going out.

Beware of a couple of things, they have been refurbishing the apartments for over a year now, basically painting walls, replacing broken light fittings and overlaying new tiles in the living areas and patio. Get straight to reception if you're unlucky to be next to one being done. Also, I was told I was in a 2 bed apartment for 1 night then to move the next day, I was told by a different receptionist that the person who checked us in was saying this as some of the apartments are 2 bed and we were only a couple.

If you've got this far and on a budget .... use the large supermarket in the 'American' shopping centre in the basement area, all the spanish people use this. Aberdeen Steak House and the small chinese are fantastic even though they might not look the most modern of places. The Irish Rover opposite the complex entrance is incredibly cheap but gets very warm and might seem a bit intimidating as it is incredibly noisy. St Eugene's bar is nicely air conditioned and has some good entertainment, best place to take young kids. The Soul Train bar is new and looks more like a typical town centre bars in the uk. Towards the front you'll find 1euro for local beer during the day.

Room Tip: Pay the small extra amount for the 1 bed apartments and not the studios if you are staying a week

Basic accommodation but clean with plenty of storage space and has everything you need for a self catering holiday. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Gloria behind the pool bar makes excellent toasties!! The pool area is very clean and has all brand new sunbeds which are very comfortable. All in all a great value holiday.

I have stayed here twice visiting tenerife and im heading back with my boyfriend in july for a third time. the location is perfect its close to everything you could want, pubs, restaurants, beach, waterparks and five minutes in a taxi from los Cristianos. The rooms are spacious and are equipped with everything you need. people complain about cockroaches, its the same in every warm county get over it - supermarket at the end ot the complex at laguna park sells a spray which kills them. the pool and bar area are fab, good prices and friendly staff. I recommend francis steak house for any meals and the chinese buffet, amazing for the price you pay.all I can say is its worth more than you pay for but its not five star luxury.
