I had stayed in Madalena hotel in the past, but this time was quite different!
Madalena hotel has been renovated and now offers even better rooms and amenities. Overall its a very nice and cozy hotel, close to the city center (you can walk there) but away from all the noise and traffic of the center. The room was bigger than I expected, very spacious, very clean with a great bed and all expected amenities. The hotel staff were friendly and very hospitable, offering more services than the ones listed. The breakfast was fantastic and full, no matter what time you chose to eat. The location was very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the port. Actually it is just above the old port and overlooks the town center, the old port, the sea and the neighboring islands. I would definetely recommended this hotel. Free wi-fi is always a plus, while there are bath robes, coffee maker, iron board, special marble bathrooms with lovely iron heads to name a few of the amenities. Airport or port pick up and transport for all guests! The renovations definetely improved the overall quality of the hotel and is now a hidden gem of Mykonos!

I went with a friend of mine and we were excited about relaxing and enjoying the city and sea. The location of the hotel is ok...it's a 5 minute down the hill to the main city and a 10 minute hike back up the hill to the hotel. The stairs at the hotel are hellacious...so if you have large bags, good luck with carrying them up the stairs. The view of some of the rooms are gorgeous but the rooms themselves are nothing to brag about. They are small, the showers are handheld showers, and they don't change your sheets. They didn't change our sheets the whole 5 days we were there. Their breakfast is very limited...a few breads, yogurt and some fruit. I would recommend staying somewhere else and pay a little more.

The good part : close to the city center, a nice view, the people are welcoming
The bad part : the beds are old, not comfortable, the bathroom smells (but are clean)...
Please renovate your rooms !

The rooms are not too big and not too small, the breakfast is very good (I had several servings of a wonderful chocolate cake) and there's also a nice pool. Five minutes on foot from the town centre, they also provide a bus service from the port/airport to the hotel, free of charge, so call them when you arrive.
I found it quite expensive (80 € / night) but almost everythink on Mykonos is.

the hotel is set just 800 metres from the old port, nice location but the stuff is really rude ,the service is really slow and the thing that topped everything was the room which can be described only as a hole and nothing more.Horrible bathroom and shower with a cockroach in the shower as a welcome gift. DO NOT EVER PAY THEM ANY MONEY TO STAY THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
