Thomas Hotel Mykonos

Thomas Hotel is VERY BASIC - the rooms are basic, pool is basic, breakfast basic...well you get the gist. Service at the hotel was not very helpful or friendly at the beginning; however they seemed to warm up at the end of the stay. Had the same shower problems as the comment below, do not know why there is no shower curtain at least in the bathroom. Only good thing about this hotel was that it was quite clean.
I would highly recommend staying closer to Mykonos town, the walk is doable but not pleasurable, especially in the heat.

Would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

This hotel should be considered only if it’s a last resort… We booked this hotel in July for an August stay as there was practically nothing else available for a reasonable price, sort of the best of a bad bunch unfortunately. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the main city along roads with no footpaths filled with crazy drivers. The rooms were ok and the aircon was cold but that is about it.. The TV didn’t work properly, the shower head was useless and the bathroom turned into a lake when you had a shower as there was no shower curtain and the water from the shower sprayed everywhere. We had a second floor room overlooking the pool and could hear everything going on around us at all hours of the night as the walls didn’t provide much sound proofing. Breakfast was very basic, croissants were good but nothing else was very fresh. Given that we were a little out of town we decided to rent a scooter and asked the hotel for a recommendation. They arranged someone from a nearby company to pick us up to get a scooter. DO NOT RENT FROM RENT-A-BIKE GEORGE! The rate was a rip off (the hotel quoted 20 euro and when we arrived at the place they wanted 25 euro) There are cheaper places around town for about 15 euro where you’ll get a much better scooter at a more reasonable price… All in all we were pretty glad to be leaving this hotel at the end of our stay.

Booked this hotel after an early arrival in Mykonos, with no hotel for the 1st night. The priorities for choosing this hotel in a rush were: location (wanted central mykonos town, since it would be just for the 1st night on the island) and being a 4 star hotel (we did not need much else for one day, but a swimming pool and breakfast).
Well..the hotel was a little far from what was "sold" online: the location is maybe 1 km away from Mykonos town, but since it is situated on a tiny, narrow dirt road, with nothing around but some (few) houses, and giving the fact that the island has more hills than you can count, the 1km was not that pleasant to walk, (no sidewalks either) - we ended up having a taxi on the way back.
Besides that, the breakfast was very poor. Just a few tables with scrambled eggs, cheese and ham, few cookies, two kinds of cereals and orange juice machine. The pool was little (a house pool), but with no other guests.
On the other hand, the room size was nice and the bathroom aswell.
Bottomline: it was ok for a night, but overated and expensive for what you get.

This hotel was lovely and modern. Its located in a nice quiet area of the island away from the main town area that gets quiet clogged with tourists but this was easily accessed by a short quad bike ride. The staff were lovely and friendly and helped us hire a quad bike the afternoon we arrived on the island, I would highly recommend doing this as it was a lovely adventurous way to get around the island and explore on our own. Also try and book a taxi to pick you up from the boat port as its very hard to get one on arrival and we ended up getting a lift with a creepy guy on a very dodgy 3 wheeled motorbike/car contraption.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights in August and booked quite late minute (so the rates were quite high). After waiting over an hour to hail a cab (there are only 30 on the island so call in advance!!) we finally made it to the Thomas Hotel.

This hotel is slightly more inland, on the hills overlooking the main town but set back amongst residential houses and paddocks. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk down to the main town but it's a great walk through beautiful and picturesque cobblestoned lanes and steps past old white washed homes. Each night, despite the return walk being uphill, we appreciated walking home into the quiet areas with the lights of Mykonos town down below us.

The staff were very friendly, our (deluxe) room was quite large, and everything was very clean. One thing that bothered us slightly was that we didn't get WiFi signal in our room. We really liked the breakfast (amazing Greek yoghurt and cheese pies), and each morning we'd go for a refreshing swim in the pool to start our day.

I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to stay out of the immediate hustle and bustle of the tourist areas and who don't mind a bit of a scenic walk (although you have to be careful on the narrow, winding roads when cars come by).

I just got back from my holiday in Mykonos and stayed at the Thomas Hotel.I was very impressed. The staff was very friendly. Our room was amazing, spacious, very clean, comfortable bed and very big bathroom with hot water 24 hours a day!!.tip don't need to bring shampoo, conditioner nor body lotion with you, these items are offered by the hotel!!! Breakfast is basic but good enough to keep you until lunchtime!!! Nice view and great pool. Advice make sure to rent a motorbike or car because the hotel is not close to the town
