We were lucky enough to stay in both the Windmill and Studio in August. Although we were booked into the studio, we experience a small problem in the studio with the shower and electricity, so Anastasis kindly moved us into the windmill whilst the issue was repaired. Overall our stay surpassed any previous stay in Mykonos - the view is picture postcard. The Windmill and studio offer unforgettable, unique experiences, and Anastasis is the perfect host - always helpful yet allowing guests to enjoy the spacious and private surroundings of the property. Whilst there is parking at the Windmill, we quickly learned (and Anastasis warned us) that the the road leading to the windmill is extremely narrow in parts and it is best to go for a small car. You can easily walk into town although it is a steep climb up from Mykonos Town. But let's face it, you can't get all that the Windmill has to offer without a little effort. We loved being self-contained and having so much space and privacy but still within reach of Mykonos Town. Both places are thoughtfully and comfortably appointed. The beds are extremely comfortable and of good size and quality. The windmill and studio both have their own private outdoor space to enjoy. The terrace for the windmill is extremely generous with magical view whilst the studio has a lovely Juliet type balcony and sitting area off to the side of the studio, again with amazing views over Mykonos town and the old port. The studio has one large window which means you enjoy the incredible views from everywhere in the studio. The windmill has smaller windows which frame the view like picture, capturing the magical views in each direction. The windmill is split over three levels. The top floor is the master room and small en-suite with incredible views. It still contains the original windmill wheel in the room which turns when the breeze is strong enough. The middle floors has a desk, sitting room and again beautiful view. On the ground floor is a kitchen, small dining table and bathroom - unfortunately the windows are tiny on the ground floor so you don't get to appreciate the view so much on the ground floor. The windmill has an outdoor shower which is amazing after returning from a day at the beach and with the summer heat of Mykonos. We love the windmill and studio. Believe me, you wont want to leave; we didn't and can't wait to return!
