We were lucky enough to stay in both the Windmill and Studio in August. Although we were booked into the studio, we experience a small problem in the studio with the shower and electricity, so Anastasis kindly moved us into the windmill whilst the issue was repaired. Overall our stay surpassed any previous stay in Mykonos - the view is picture postcard. The Windmill and studio offer unforgettable, unique experiences, and Anastasis is the perfect host - always helpful yet allowing guests to enjoy the spacious and private surroundings of the property. Whilst there is parking at the Windmill, we quickly learned (and Anastasis warned us) that the the road leading to the windmill is extremely narrow in parts and it is best to go for a small car. You can easily walk into town although it is a steep climb up from Mykonos Town. But let's face it, you can't get all that the Windmill has to offer without a little effort. We loved being self-contained and having so much space and privacy but still within reach of Mykonos Town. Both places are thoughtfully and comfortably appointed. The beds are extremely comfortable and of good size and quality. The windmill and studio both have their own private outdoor space to enjoy. The terrace for the windmill is extremely generous with magical view whilst the studio has a lovely Juliet type balcony and sitting area off to the side of the studio, again with amazing views over Mykonos town and the old port. The studio has one large window which means you enjoy the incredible views from everywhere in the studio. The windmill has smaller windows which frame the view like picture, capturing the magical views in each direction. The windmill is split over three levels. The top floor is the master room and small en-suite with incredible views. It still contains the original windmill wheel in the room which turns when the breeze is strong enough. The middle floors has a desk, sitting room and again beautiful view. On the ground floor is a kitchen, small dining table and bathroom - unfortunately the windows are tiny on the ground floor so you don't get to appreciate the view so much on the ground floor. The windmill has an outdoor shower which is amazing after returning from a day at the beach and with the summer heat of Mykonos. We love the windmill and studio. Believe me, you wont want to leave; we didn't and can't wait to return!

It was such a treat to stay at Panigirakis Castle. The location was superb, and the grounds of the castle were stunning and like a fairy tale. Anastasis went out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed and helped with suggestions and arrangements of massage, reservations etc. A truly unique way to visit and see Greece and would absolutely recommend this. We look forward to travelling back to Greece and when we do, we would hope to stay at the castle again.

The best, panoramic view of Mykonos center city, we enjoyed the birds singing in the morning, the beautiful sunset, and the fantastic night view in the cozy, quiet guest room, we had very romantic moment when staying in the windmill guest house. I will say, this is the perfect place for honeymooner !

The host dear Mr. Anastasis, is very very kind and generous, he took care all our enquiries, and the other little host - Myk, a gentle meek big dog, expected our return at all time, we love their accompany and hospitality~~~

The experience was like stay in a sweet, cozy home, but the spectacular world-class scenery pop in your vision every morning~~~~

Good memories ....

My husband and I stayed here for four nights in May and had a fabulous trip. The guest house was very clean, and had everything there that we needed. One thing to keep in mind is that the WIFI here only works outside, but that is because the walls of the buildings are so thick.
This apartment has probably the best view the entire city, and we enjoyed eating at the little terrace outside the guest house watching the sunset at night. It is only about a 12 minute walk into town, so if you don't have a car, it's not too bad. But make sure you find the walking path into town, we didn't find it until the second day. The owner of the property was SO helpful and accommodating, and met us at the port to show us to the apartment. I've already recommended this place to a friend of mine coming in a few months, and I would definitely stay here again. Probably the best place overall to stay in Mykonos.

From the moment we were picked up from the airport by Anastasis in his little yellow jeep, we were treated superbly and felt priviliged to stay in such a great location. We stayed in the windmill, the style of which you will see dotted around Mykonos. The conversion of the windmill is top notch and executed with taste. The views of Mykonos town and harbour have got to be one of the best.
Anastasis was a great host and really helpful when it came to organising trips, vehicle rentals and our follow on accommodation.
If you are going to Mykonos, definitely give Castle Panigirakis serious consideration. We had a great stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in the windmill, which is superb.

My wife and I stayed three nights in the windmill -- our first time in Mykonos. Our stay was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations. The host Anastasi was gracious enough to pick us up from the airport and get us settled into our home for the next 3 nights.

Where to start? The grounds of the Castle are beautiful, stone walls, arches, gates, and nicely manicured landscaping give you the feeling of royalty. Two amazing patios with a dining table, chaise, bench, and lounge made of a boat(!), frame the city of Mykonos and what we believe is the best view on the island.

Then comes the windmill! After getting over the fact that we were actually IN a windmill we were blown away but the detail of the marble floors, winding staircases, chandeliers, and the painstaking detail of all of the accompaniments. Each floor is unique, but the best is left for the bedroom with the vaulted ceiling, beautiful bed and the view of downtown. A few pillows are stacked by the window for you to read or just enjoy the port town below.

The location is perfect but not for the faint of heart. Town is a 15 minute walk that we did a few times a day ... Going down is easy ... coming back ... helps you work off the food that you ate in town... Wouldn't recommend for the elderly or kids BUT a rental car, ATV, or scooter is just a short walk away and Anastasi can help arrange. This reduces any inconvenience at all.

We could go on and on about this amazing, wonderful, and magical place but we are already planning our next trip back. We had such a great time!
