“Great setting with amazing views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 September 2013

We stayed here for 5 nights in August and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean, with an amazing bar/restaurant with fantastic views over Mykonos town and a great place to watch the Mykonos sunset. The pool is lovely, again spotlessly clean with plenty of sunbeds (but they went fast). We had a standard room with a partial seaview, the room was fine, nothing exceptional. The bathroom was a little on the small side with a very small shower unit, but again, it didn't really bother us too much. Breakfast was fine, again nothing exceptional but hit the spot.

By far the best thing about the hotel is the service. The staff are incredibly helpful and firendly and nothing is too much trouble. I have to say, that really made the difference for us and we would definitely come back here.

Stavrola and her excellent team absolutely made our vacation. First of all Mykonos IS expensive...but by comparison to other hotels on the island Rochari is very good value for money..5 star service, clean modern mykonian style rooms, most with great balconies and sea views, a very eclectic and fun international crowd, wonderful sunsets and cocktails, excellent breakfast, lunch bar, lovely common areas and very easy access to mykonos town while still remaining private and quiet with unspoilt views of the town and the island..
The hotel went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent vacation giving great restaurant tips, coordinating hire cars and even an invitation to a wonderful private family party. I have heard from many friends over the years that this hotel is really something special and it certainly didnt disapoint.. We were treated as friends from arrival and are very much looking forward to our next vacation at Rochari.

The other reviews have largely said it: unexceptional rooms and bathrooms but the setting really is wonderful, some rooms (eg 106) have gorgeous views, there's a nice pool and the staff are indeed staff. Expensive for what it is, but no more so than other places here (Mykonos is the worst value place in Greece by a long stretch). And we peeked into the Someli and Belvedere and were glad we didn't pay even more as they weren't really all that much nicer.

Only thing to flag that others haven't is that although this isn't formally branded a gay hotel (unlike the Elysium) it really has become very gay now - lots of muscle marys round the pool etc (or certainly there were the week we were there). We're a gay couple so fine for us, but I suspect it may not be everyone's cup of tea (and truth be told even we found it a bit overly gay!)

Oh, and the wifi connection is weak and needs improving too.

We stayed here with friends for 8 nights - th elocation is wonderful, close to town centre, bus station etc etc - the rooms are small but very clean - beds are comfortable - bathrooms are very small. we had a wonderful large balcony with a breathtaking view of the Town and sea.
I agree with David A - they could have a couple of extra things to save always running to the bar or reception - bottled water comp in the fridge, bottle opener, glasses, a place to get ice... and with the iron...could they not set up an ironing room somehwere in the complex so at least if one requried a quick ironing of a shirt... i undertsnd that its law not to have them in the rooms but perhaps an ironing room. Overall a wonderful place - lovely bar with great service from Kelly! and all the team at reception are so very friendly and helpful - well done

It's like coming home to a warm reunion of welcoming friends from the moment you step foot in the Rochari. I have been staying at the Rochari for 13 years and have the most wonderful memories of each visit. I adore the Rochari family, the quaint hotel with amazing views, clean & comfortable rooms, and pleasant staff. The food is awesome; meats and veggies are fresh from the Rochari farm prepared daily. I discovered moussaka and patsitsio here. Yum. For breakfast, get the scrambled eggs with ham and feta. Yum. They have loyal guests who return often, so I see familiar faces every time I visit.

This hotel is fantastic. The accommodations are great. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are impeccably clean. The entire staff is just delightful and go out of their way to make your stay as stress-free and as comfortable as possible. The on-site bars are fantastic and the views at sunset are breathtaking. The food is prepared extra special and if you have certain dietary needs, they are more than happy to accommodate you. I highly recommend a stay here.

Room Tip: The rooms with the 300 and 400 numbers have balconies with fantastic views.

Nice hotel but could have done with a few little extras : drinking glasses in room, bottle opener, chilled water in fridge. Somewhere to obtain ice would have been great too. Only one working iron in hotel and reception did not know which room was ever using it. Shower curtain didn't fit and meant the bathroom floor flooded every day.

No iPod dock for music either - hotel rooms have great terraces but nothing to enjoy them with.

Little annoyances that started to add up.
