“Mykonos' undiscovered hotel gem”
Reviewed 10 August 2013

My partner and I think that THIS hotel is the best value - bar none - on the whole of Mykonos! It's our tenth time at this hotel, in 26 visits to Mykonos, and it keeps getting better and better. Its location is perfect: in a quiet residential neighbourhood, yet only 100 metres to the hustle and bustle of the waterfront. It's halfway up a hill and gives drop-dead gorgeous views not only of the township and the old and new harbours but of neighbouring islands, such as Delos. The accommodation is ample: air-conditioned rooms, in-room safe, balcony with table and two chairs, separate shower/bathroom, ample storage space and a superb hot-and-cold breakfast buffet. As part of the Daktylidis' family's hotel chain, they'll also drive you to their more upmarket Petasos Bay hotels and back in a daily shuttle, leaving at 1020 and returning 1630. It's also free, and you can charge back to the Town meals consumed at the Bay property (which has also a well-equipped gym and large swimming pool). The staff at both the Town and Bay properties couldn't be more friendly and welcoming: it truly is a "home away from home". High season cost for all this? Euros 215 per room/day. The shuttle will meet and return you to the airport or port when you have booked directly with them on line. The resident Manager, Nikolas, and his colleagues Irini, Venezzia, Thanos and Jenny maintain this marble-floored, whitewashed property immaculately, and genuinely ensure your stay, every time, is both memorable and enjoyable.

Room Tip: We always request Room 25 because it has not only great district views but fronts two streets, there...

The best hotel I have been in! The man at the reception was great, everything is extremely clean and it gets 2 minutes to get in the port!
If you go there, you should try a restaurant located just going down the stairs, called Taverna Antoninis. The best restaurant in town!

Lovely find in myknos having moved from their sister hotel the myknos grand as allocated rooms were dreadful and they kindly offered us this option with private terrace and stunning views. They need a hotel shuttle bus to town as its quite a way and taxis are hard to find (only 30 on the island). Lovely staff and spotless surroundings made our short stay very relaxing. Rooms are basic - breakfast not great they should offer more fruit - water melon only is not choice! On the whole pretty good for a 4 star property.

Thanos is the best concierge I've ever met! He's so nice and friendly....we can't wait to come home every night to talk to him!! He cooks the best breakfast all night long so it is nice and fresh in the morning... yai mas!! We will definitely be back to Petasos soon just to see Thanos!

Very clean & extremely well located hotel that serves a great breakfast. Only downside was that showers were very small & prob would not suit a bigger person. Service however was second to none, especially the wonderful friendly service from Nicholas!

This was our last Greek island we hopped to and so happy our travel agent chose this hotel. Its right in the town so you get experience what it would feel like to live in an apt in Mykonos town. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Amazing AC. It was cool to be able to take a shower and look out the window to see the cruise ships coming into the bay. Buffet breakfast is included which saves some euros in your pocket for extra spending in the local bars. The staff is so nice and helpful. They answered every question we asked them. The best part is being able to use the shuttle bus to their sister hotel which is a five star beach spa resort. So you get to really have the best of both worlds. Fell in love. I would recommend five times over to stay at this hotel. shopping...dining out..in walking distance. Again I have to stress being able to use the five star sister hotel. You will not regret your stay here.

Very attentitive staff especially Nicholas. Well positioned, very good breakfast spread, clean and enjoyable hotel to stay in.
Room was well appointed with enough space. We had a balcony which had a view of the port.
Easy walk to town and port, parking for quad bike, off street so nice and quite.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony, all rooms are quite.
