I went on a trip to Greece with family and friends, and one of the most memorable experiences was staying at this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel with charming architecture and a very friendly atmosphere. With a gorgeous view over the ocean and a central location, it really is difficult to say that there is a better hotel than Omiros on Mykonos. Its right next to the heart of town and the staff couldn't be nicer. I have been recommending this place to anyone that goes to Mykonos for years.

We stayed at the Omiros Hotel at the tail end of our island hopping. We were looking for a reasonably hotel in Mykonos, and based on other reviews we booked the Omiros Hotel. The rooms were clean and basic. The common patio area was a great place to sit, and Vasillas the bartender kept the drinks coming. Yannis was a wonderful host, and gave us the inside tips of Mykonos - the best beaches and restaurants to go to, and if you get the chance to go to Kiki's I would definitely recommend.

This little family hotel has the most friendly bar on the island, with an excellent view to the sea and the sunset.I met almost all the other guests of the hotel including some locals in a very relaxed and comfy atmosphere. The rooms and the whole architecture reminds of cute doll-houses with all the basics included and at a really good price for the island's standards. I 've been to many greek islands and i rarely saw a hotel with such a simple and traditional architecture and decoration. It doesn't pretend to be cycladic,it really is!And of course you can always have your last drink on the bar early in the morning after your all-night adventure at the narrow streets and many bars of Mykonos town.If i were to write another headline fo this review it would have been ''original without unnecesary luxuries''.
The only tough part of the trip was walking back with high heels singing at 10 am.

Most of the things have already been said in tripadvisor. the view is nice, the location close to town with a bit steep hill on theway back, the rooms simple and clean. The free wi-fi on the main terrace very convenient,Vassilis the bar tender
very helpful and always with genuine smile and a nice story to tell, and mama Petrula ready to carry your suitcase although she is 65 and has a bad knee!!
Mykonos is an expensive island but the staff of hotel omiros really saves the day. ask them what are your needs and they will guide you.when we arrived there they gave us a map of the island and drew on it the best value places and also shared with us some local secrets.Yiannis told us at the end of the description '' guys! i just saved you 300 euros...'' and we didn't pay attention to him until we went on our way and paid 25$ for spaghetti!

The hotel is a 10-minute uphill walk from the Mykonos town so it was very nice for the owner to pick us up from the pier. (He also dropped us off when we left.) We have a sea-view room as advertised. Unfortunately, it was also a view of some big construction (we were later told that the town was expanding the harbor for fishing boats). So while it would probably look very nice in the future, there is a little more to be desired at the movement.

The room is clean but very small. There are no chairs that we have to sit on the floor if we don't want to sit on the bed. The shower is hand-held only and we found that very inconvenient. However, there are definitely attractive things about this hotel. The patio is very nicely appointed and you only see the beautiful sea and sky (and not the construction) unless you go near the edge. The owner pays close attention to the weather that he warned us our ferry may be canceled if it continued to be windy. And our ferry did get canceled (Our booking agent made no attempt to notify us about the cancellation.) We were so grateful that we took his advice to check whether the ferry still would be running

And yes, the cat is very cute. For those who don't like cats, you may want to make sure you do not leave windows or the top portion of your door open. She seemed like a very nice cat so we didn't mind. As for the mom of the owner, whom I have read a number of complaints about, could not speak English but seem ok. BTW, the owner seems to be the only person who can speak reasonable English so at times it is inconvenient when he is not around. However, there is really nothing to complaint about, especially the owner really saved our trip.

The view? Rhapsody in Blue. The style? Tasteful simplicity. The
setting? Candy coloured. The bathroom? With lovely fish-like mosaics. Breakfast? Pomegranates and peach jam. The cat? Fancy. The barman? A celebrity chef. Atmosphere? Sophisticated. The boss? Quite simply remarkable. In the past? Petroula´s rooms. Today? Hotel Omiros. Recommendation? Stay longer than three days. Why? Find out.
