We were picked up and dropped off which was good. 10 minute walk into town, nice view but only from the walkway. Rooms smallish and bathroom even smaller. No curtain rail so water went all over bathroom. The balcony upstairs were on the side of room so you looked at a wall from inside insead of the fantastic view.
You have to pay for internet which then doesn't work in the room very well. Had to stand out on the balcony. Pool good. Breakfast good.

Good quality/price report if you are looking for accommodation in Mykonos without killing your budget. For about 150€/doubleroom, you get the pretty view and the pool.
Other good point, the hotel is just between the new harbour and the city.
You can go to the city center of Mykonos by foot.

Hotel Gorgona was a really great place to stay. It was clean and very well maintained, fresh towels each day and regular linen changes during our stay. The rooms were of a really good standard with a very comfortable bed.
The rooms had an amazing view over the bay and the sunsets were stunning each evening.
The breakfast each morning was great with a good choice of cereal, breads etc.
The family that run this hotel were very nice, welcoming and helpful and not at all intrusive.
It is located close to Mykonos town centre, only a short walk down the hill, a good enough distance that it was quite a peaceful place to stay with no night time noise.
We would highly recommend this hotel.
Thank you Gorgona!

Room Tip: rooms on ground level with a sea facing balcony would be best as they have individual balconies. the...

The owners are a really kind and nice family, they take care of u every time and give us great advices about where to eat, to visit and how were the best ways to arrive there.

Like other recent reviewers, we were a bit anxious about whether we made the right choice. Ignore them - fantastic hotel. The owners are very kind, friendly and welcoming, but also discrete. The hotel has been recently renovated, and the rooms are comfortable with air con, fridge and safe. The pool is beautiful and pretty quiet, and the pool-side bar has everything you need at reasonable prices.

Situated in a quiet part of town, every room has sea views.... gorgeous.

And the review that suggested they were not gay-friendly - we had no problems and were 5 gay guys.

Choose the Gorgona and have a great time!

Room Tip: rooms are very similar, some have an outside seating area

the few average-terrible reviews we read made us wonder whether we had made the right choice. having just returned from 11 days at hotel gorgona those reviews are most unfair. its the best 2 star hotel we have ever stayed in, in fact we didnt consider it 2 star at all. probably the most comfortable bed/pillow i have ever had in a hotel anywhere. being 10 minutes stroll out of town the hotel was exceptionally quiet at night and sleep wasnt ever disturbed. the hill back from town would only be a problem for anyone that was seriously unfit.
room was spotless and everything changed regularly. air con and safe free. wifi not free.
the owners were always very helpful and pleasant. breakfasts were fine, yes the same choice every day but there was plenty to choose from.
pool/views were wonderful and our terrace was perfect for watching the sunset and starting the evening.
quad bike place opposite hotel entrance offered discount on quad bike to hotel users. 7 euros each way ferry to Tinos (takes an hour) worthwhile provided you get transport once there to see an island that contrast somewhat to mykonos

We recently stayed at The Hotel Gorgona, which is situated just out of town (10mins walk), so is the perfect location away from the noise of the town, but easily reached on foot when you do want to go into town.
Picked up from the airport by the owner in a spotlessly clean mini-bus at no extra cost......
We were given a choice of rooms, all of which seem really nice, basically furnished but adequate. Rooms cleaned and towels changed every day.
Lovely pool area, very quiet/relaxing with pool bar (drinks expensive but same as everywhere in Mykonos)
Breakfast was included in the price we paid, and was adequate for our needs, it included cereal, greek yogurt, tinned fruit, scrambled egg, sausages, croissants, jam, bread, juices, cake, ham, cheeses.
We hired a car and spent each day at a different beach...........fabulous.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms have larger balconies we stayed in room 11.... loved watching the cruise liners c...
