The Pelican is a lovely little hotel, around 10 mins by car from Mykonos town. We had the medium prices rooms, which overlooked the swimming pool. The rooms were lovely and spacious and from the pool you have a beatiful view across the sea.
The staff were very helpful, in particular John who recommended fabulous restaurants for us to try each night. The hotel's driver was also really helpful and because of the lack of taxis on the island, we could rely on him to collect us as late as 4am from Mykonos town.
We hired a car for travelling around to different beaches, and i think a car is essential in Mykonos. Both Psarou and Elia beaches had amazing clear water and were wonderful for swimming - make sure you book ahead if you want to eat at the designer restaurant on Psarou beach! Don't bother with Paradise - not as stylish, and there was rubbish in the sea. They also went straight into banging hard house from around 4pm, which was not very relaxing!!!
Back to the Pelican - we'd definitely recommend it and make sure you go up to their terrace and relax in the double hammock. The hotel was really good value.More
