“Lovely, clean hotel, but dangerous walk into town.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2014

This hotel is apparently fairly new and a bit outside of the city center. To describe it as "on the beach" is stretching the truth a bit as there is a beach across the street, but it is far from a great beach and you will want to either take a cab or rent a car to get to the nicer beaches. The positives about this hotel are the lovely pool area, large rooms, free wifi, nice sunset views and cleanliness. The breakfast buffet was average compared to our other hotels in Greece. The biggest negative is that although the relatively short distance into town is totally walkable, it is along a very narrow road, not lighted at night and which drivers (some of them apparently having had too much to drink) speed along. We felt we were taking our lives in our hands every time we walked back from the town. If I were to return, I would stay elsewhere as despite the nice accommodations, the location left a lot to be desired. In addition, this is not a hotel for someone who is mobility impaired as once you walk back from town, your choice is to climb a very steep drive or ascend approximately 80 steps to get to the pool/reception area. Although this was not a problem for our group, we saw an older couple struggling back up the hill.

Room Tip: This is NOT a hotel for travelers with any mobility issues.

The minute we arrived at Grand Beach, we were in love!! what a beautiful location!! George and Despina made us feel so welcome. Our room was very nice with a lovely view. The breakfast was great, one of the best ones, throughout our 5 week holiday! The pool area of this hotel is absolutely lovely and very clean. One night on our walk back to the hotel, I had a fall and badly scraped my knee and Despina cleaned it up and put some ointment on it for me. Thank you Despina and George for a wonderful time at Grand Beach!!!

The first thing we were greeted with upon entering our room was the fantastic view, next came cleanliness of the room and the awesomely large and comfortable bed.
The staff were all lovely and were on hand to help in any way, from club and entertainment to arranging taxis and quad bike hire.
The bar and restaurant staff were polite, friendly and provided great service.
Visiting the restaurant for dinner is something i would certainly suggest, the night we visited we were the only couple present and had the place and service to ourselves! It was lovely, with the amazing view to cap it off!
The location is excellent, with the beach, Mykonos town, the windmills, little Venice.
The location is also great for those wanting to escape the party side of the island, yet it was only a short cab ride to reach the renowned paradise and super paradise beaches and clubs/bars.

All and all this hotel provided a grand setting for a couple retreating from the hussle and bussle
of our every day life to relax and enjoy the rich culture of this remarkable island.

Thank-you Grand Beach!

Reservation- Jagger.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite - perfect! Pink everywhere and a jacuzzi in the room, nothing to complain about. Location is perfect as Mykonos town is at easy walking distance, passing by the beach. Joanna's Nikos Taverna, located directly on the beach, is also very close and it's one of the best restaurants on the island. Maybe not the best place to be though if you want to party on Mykonos famous paradise and super paradise beaches. Otherwise, don't miss this hotel!

Room Tip: Honeymoon suite is HUGE and has the perfect view on the beach, from the super-large balcony

We chose Grand Beach AGAIN, first due to the great service from Despina and George..... Thank you. And secondly due to the hotel facilities and location. We are currently here with 2 nights to go.... The rooms are immaculate, beautiful decor and especially loved the room with our own plunge pool. Not sure how we are going to leave these awesome place in 2days...and Despina thank you for your local knowledge and constant helpfulness!!! Cant wait to return once again!

Decided to stay at the Grand Beach Hotel based on the positive reviews and happy to report back that they were all true! The trip to Mykonos was a family vacation so it was important that we stay near the city center as I was certain we would take many trips there. Grand Beach is the perfect location. Only a 10 minute beautiful walk to the city center, spectacular views from everywhere at the hotel, and the staff....amazing! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Despina, at the front desk, was always ready to help guide us, the bartenders at the pool were super friendly and made the best drinks. I highly recommend having lunch or dinner by the pool, the food was really good! Probably just as good, if not better, than some of the really expensive restaurants in Mykonos and the prices were very reasonable. Note that some of the rooms are a bit outdated but still kept extremely clean and the amazing views from the rooms make everything worth it. I'll make sure to request a renovated room next time because there will definitely be a next time!! I've been raving about the Grand Beach Hotel and about Mykonos since I returned from my trip. Thanks to the staff for making it such a perfect vacation!

Room Tip: room 400 has the most amazing view and a little patio right off the balcony
