I stayed in the hotel in mid-September 2013 and was absolutely delighted. The Premier Suite they have on the 4th floor is enormous with king size bed and big roof terrace giving stunning views of the sea. Staff was very friendly and helpful, location is excellent and the only minus is virtual lack of a beach.

Room Tip: 4th floor suite is amazing!

The hotel is very nice, very good location and the rooms are very big.

I recommend to be very careful when leaving your things inside the room, my phone got stolen from inside the room and we suspect the staff because they were the only ones having access to the rooms.

RDeimezi, Director of Operations Aquis Hotels and Resorts at Mayor Mon Repos Palace 'Art Hotel", responded to this review, 30 September 2013
Thank you for your lovely comments on the location and the room size of our hotel.

In reference to your below review we would like to highlight that the mobile, wasn’t stolen from within the room that you stayed at. You walked in the Aquis Mon Repos Palace asking a room of a one night stay. Our reception staff escorted you into two different room types, for you to choose the most appropriate to your needs since you haven’t precooked your stay with us. After your visit in both rooms, you choose the first one offered and upon check in on your preferred room, you claimed that you probably forgotten your mobile on the room you haven’t finally selected. The phone was never found into our premises and following your concern we called as per our official procedure the police to verify the loss of your phone in order to be able to offer you with the paper needed for the insurance company.

We are so very sorry for your mobile loss, we do understand, however we need to state the facts as they happened since there are thousands of people reading Tripadvisor and the situation needs to be really clarified. We never had any incident of property loss within our premises. A legal precedent has already been set regarding disclosure of such cases and our legal department will be soon in a position to communicate about this case.

We stayed in this hotel in Sept 2013. What a welcome a glass of bubbly and ALL the staff were very helpful, kind and friendly. We were all inclusive and the food was delicious with a huge choice. Our room and the whole hotel was very clean, shower was great. The hotel is approx a 20min walk into Corfu town or there was a bus just up the road that went every 20 mins. The pool was very refreshing and there were brollies and a tree for shade. We had a great relaxing holiday we would recomend this hotel to anyone you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Our room had a sea view and the sun was on our balconey first thing lovely

We stayed in this hotel in July 2013. Rooms are renovated, very clean with a fantastic view, next to great cafes and restaurants and only 15' walk from the Liston square. There is a bus going to the square every 20 minutes on the dot, which helps a lot and the taxi is about 4 euros. The room was very clean and the staff made our stay comfortable. Breakfast in the morning is good, although some more fresh fruits would help. The internet connection sometimes was playing up but it was free and we could go to the lobby and stay there for ages. Attention: the beach in the front is not good for swimming (lots of seaweeds) but if you want a quick dip, you can join the locals in the small beach by the windmill.

The best rooms are the ones with a view to the castle at the front right of the hotel, although they have a little smaller balcony. The ones in the front have a view over the sea. .

After only a 5 minute transfer from the Airport we arrived at the hotel, what a welcome we received from Maria and Areti at reception and then a glass of sparkling wine from Evi and George. Once we had enrolled at reception and were given our all inclusive wristbands (which we had to wear all week) we were shown to our front seaview rooms, furnishing and décor very "Arti" although the bathroom was a little tired (but we were informed the bathrooms would be refurbished during the winter). Once we unpacked we went for lunch and this was the start of lovely food and very attentive staff providing everything we asked for and more. We ate every meal outside, breakfast and evening meal buffet style and lunch from a menu and served by very polite, friendly, happy members of staff - Angelo, Dora, Spyros, Lucky and Matre de Costos. A highlight was Chef John had an apprentice outside each evening cooking a speciality meal for guests. This was an experience not to miss, the food was delicious, well cooked, and the apprentice very eager for comments. John also made delicious special deserts which were unusual and delicious. The very talented resident musical duo provided entertainment at night and this was very well received by guests and passersby. The staff at this hotel made our holiday one to remember. They were so pleased to see us and wait on us whether in the bar, out by the pool or in the dining room. Vanessa was always on hand to give advice about what to see and do and also asking for feedback on all aspects of the hotel. I am unable to mention each member of staff by name, but I am sure the management must be very proud of all of them and they must be commended for providing such a wonderful holiday, in fact one of the best holidays we have had. For anyone wanting a little something special try room 402 - wow!

Room Tip: Front seaview rooms are best, higher the better although we were on the first floor.

We called this a Boutique City Hotel as opposed to a resort Hotel, which is pretty much what we expected. When we arrived the staff greeted us with a welcome glass of sparkling wine and a friendly smile. So we were off to a flying start, and that's how the whole week continued. Friendly staff excellent food and stylish accommodation. We had all inclusive, and compared to other holidays of the same price that we have had, this was much better value.
Thanks to all the friendly staff, from the room cleaner to the General Manager, everyone went out of their way to ensure that we had the 'Best of Times'
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Hotel to anyone.
