My brother and I took the Paxos - Antipaxos - Blue Caves day trip earlier today and are thoroughly disappointed. Our biggest complaint is that while the online schedule claims that we would spend three hours on the island Paxos, we in fact spent only two. Considering that A) Paxos is the main attraction on the trip and that B) you'll be spending many hours on a crowded, seasickness -inducing boat to get there, this is quite significant. The port in Paxos, Gaios, is lovely, and I recommend visiting it, but not through this dishonest company.

We are sorry to hear about it and I will try to give an answer as follow.
1) In our website (Ionian-cruises.com) there are descriptions of our cruises. In these descriptions are not mentioned the time of departure or arrival to the destinations, because is more like a cruise and not itinerary. For example in May when the temperature is 18 degrees Celsius we stay to the beach of Antipaxos only 20 minutes for swimming whilst in August when the temperature is 35 degrees Celsius we stay 45 minutes to an hour . We cooperate with more than 170 hotels, travel agencies and tour operators and all these details are given to them and they are different for low season and different for high season. The last 8 years our visit to the capital of Paxos (Gaios) lasts from 2 to 2 hours and 30 minutes, depends of the season (low-high).
2) We own the boat CRISTINA and the boat IONIAN SUN. Both of them have the capacity of 300 passengers according to the laws and 380 seats in total outside and inside. So there are 80 extra seats. We understand that is difficult to seat all of the guests only outside or all of them only inside. There are some companies in Corfu who rent private yachts for 10 to 20 passengers who have enough space for all passengers to stay inside or outside.
3) For a few summer days, the sea is not calm and it’s windy. Some people are feeling seasick with a level 4 wind, others with level 7 wind and some people are feeling seasick even when the sea is calm. In this case it is better to take a seasick pill 30 minutes before the departure to be able to enjoy the cruise with positive mood. However, the days with rough sea during summer are quite a few. Thank you very much for your comments.

Spent a delightful week in Corfu and did the day cruise to Parga and Paxos. Booked our €31 trip in Kassiopi. Staff there not too sure which day it departed but it was early in the season. We were picked up at 7.15 in the village by a delightful man in the most beaten up Merc you have ever seen! Bit naughty. No workable seat belts and barely enough leg room for 4 adults. Good job we were not fatties! Took an hour to get to the port along bendy roads so they need to sort out the transport connections. The trip to Parga and Paxos is fantastic. Lovely views of Corfu from the boat and great staff on the boat. Sandra did a brilliant commentary en route and she recommended a lovely restaurant in Parga for lunch. Bacchus. Paxos is fabulous. Have a swim and snorkel there. Got back to the port at 7pm and to Kassiopi at 8pm. Tired but happy.

There is nothing like messing about in boats, isn't there? Cruising about involves passive attendance with fleeting majesty floating by with silent appreciation your constant companion. That is not entirely true... my femme will not allow for silent contemplation without an educated discourse on what i am floating on about.

Be forewarned. Don't expect classical remains and any association with pre- Roman history. In fact, sea battles provided the international excitement while earthquakes settled any disputes. We found that due to the Brit's concepts of 'Greekness' owes much more to experiences with Cypriot eateries and Zorba, tourism now is wholly ,taramasalata,Yiros and Hummous, which of-course owe their allegiance to Western Europe.

The landscape, in passing is more Italian-ate,lush with greenery and high rainfall and the cypress trees spread southward, vigourously, adding a dark dignity to the country side . Do not forget your swimmers for there is ample opportunity to show your ripples or ripped features at Paxos ,where the cruise boat docks for swimming, drinking and eating. It makes for a lovely break,if you are fast enough to grab the limited space on the decking.

Much of the distinctive architecture was destroyed in the '53 earthquake, but the cultural undercurrents, the cuisine like Sofrito And Bourdetto and the sound of mandolins keep the islands Italian-ate

We booked our tickets through a travel agent in Mykonos for €35 each (without bus transfers).

The boat arrived about 10:15 (meant to be 10) and got back about 18:30/19:00 so it's a full day out.

We were picked up in Mykonos although the first stop is corfu town, we viewed the blue caves, went onto anti Paxos where people were allowed to swim in the crystal clear waters for up to 50 mins followed by our last stop in Paxos. We had a couple of hrs here, which soon flew.

The boat ride was comfortable although we spent most the time on the boat. People have the option to lay out on the decking for bathing but spaces go quickly.

Drinks and food are served on board but you can take your own as well.

There was a mixture of ages on the boat, from young children to older travellers. The staff were friendly and gave free refreshing watermelon on the way back.
