“Comfy home from home”

We spent a week at labarthe in the pigeonnier recently, we arrived quite late and Jenette the owner had offered to pick up some provisions for us, she also provided extras, wine, cheese, nibbles, bread, milk, etc. which was was very welcome. The gite is extremely well equipped probably the best we've stayed in, even pool towels were provided . It was very hot the week we were there and the bedroom in the pigeonnier did get very warm at night . Thankfully there are mesh covers on the window so it was possible to leave them open, and there's a fan so it wasn't too bad . The location is great with Eymet just a short drive, which is a lovely place, and with a few nice restaraunts, the Italian was fab, we ate there a couple of times and everything was good and very reasonable. The pool area is wonderful and I especially liked the sun beds, they were actually comfy with big cushions provided and the pool is heated, not that we needed it, but good any case. Wifi was fine, no complaints , and Jenette s a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed the fresh eggs from her chickens! We would definitely stay there again. Thanks Jenette .

“Perfect place to stay”
Reviewed 22 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We have just returned from a lovely weeks holiday at the Labarthe PIgeonnier near Eymet, what lovely accomodation it was just spot on everything you needed for a nice self catering holiday, and the owner Janette was such a nice help full person. She had put so much into the gites so much little personal touches that made our stay very comfortable, we would certainly recommend this gite to family and fiends.

“Total Relaxation”
Reviewed 5 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We stayed in The Cottage which we found to be comfortable and well equipped. Everything has been thought of and there were some very nice touches - cheese and wine, milk, tea, coffee on arrival. Books, magazines, dvd's, games for children. Bed linen and towels were of excellent quality, hot water plentiful. It is so very quiet and peaceful and the view from the kitchen window across the field, is like a painting in itself and it was delightful to sit outside at the back of the property and enjoy this. (A couple of sun loungers would have enhanced the experience!) The property is in an excellent position for exploring the local and extremely picturesque villages. Would have liked a better WiFi connection as had to go outside to connect, but understand that is to be rectified. A very enjoyable rest for two busy people.

“Peaceful France”
Reviewed 28 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Beautiful setting and accommodation. Well situated for visiting the surrounding area. The Pigeonnier was beautiful, quality of towels etc very nice. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, peaceful, nice pool and setting. The host was very accommodating when required. Small negatives, Oven has no grill and has to be lit with matches, Internet was almost non existent, and had to spend time trying to find "bottle banks" as is the way in France, would have thought the owner could have sorted this on a weekly basis.. As a pain trying to find a bottle bank when the area is unfamiliar, "time away from Holidaying"
Would recommend very nice place.

Management Response

It was a pleasure in having you stay here at 'Labarthe', I have updated the house book showing where the local bottle bins are and thankfully due to the better weather the internet is now much stronger.

“The perfect bolt-hole for a couple with small child for a relaxing French holiday”
Reviewed 22 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We found the Pigeonnier entirely by chance online and were lucky that the week we wanted to visit was available. It looked lovely online and we just hoped it would be the same in reality. We could not have been happier as the accommodation was exactly what we needed as a couple and as parents. The owner had taken time to provide some items for our daughter (DVDs and games) and had set up her cot for us in advance. 2 bottles of wine, bottled water, cheese and crisps were all provided on arrival as was a very useful guest information pack. The grounds of the accommodation were beautiful and everything was kept very tidy. The pool was great for us and our little girl grew in confidence in the water every day! We have friends living in Eymet and so were pleased we were only a 10 mins drive away.
I would definitely recommend this accommodation to others.

“Relaxing and Reinvigorating Retreat”

Highly recommended as a retreat to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Beautiful property and fab pool with start to finish sunshine that managed to bring the sun flowers into bloom. Jenette gave us a warm welcome as the new owner, providing the delights of crisp white bed linen and fluffy towels in a property that is well equipped. A perfect base to visit historical towns, many with traditional markets, vineyards are in abundance and golf / lunch & dinner at Chateau de Vigiers is a treat.
