“Disappointing”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

Nice view up there but the menhir itself is quite disappointing. A big local family was having lunch there, screaming at each other about what to put on their sandwiches which made things worse.

“Big rock!”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

Information boards in French cartoons tell you a couple of the stories about how the menhir got there. It's free. It's big. It's rocky. Ten minutes is all you need.

“Massive, ancient, and free”
Reviewed 20 September 2013

This is more than worth 10 minutes of your time, and a short diversion off the main road from Dol to Combourg. It is a massive Menhir, a long way from the main Carnac types (100 miles away). Ancient, wonderful, and free to visit and park. You can even have a picnic here at one of the convenient tables. Go and imagine Obelix carrying it into place with Asterix pestering him. Then consider it was already ancient when the Celts turned up.

“A gem”
Reviewed 27 August 2013

My husband loves a celtic monolith so we had to go and see this and I'm glad we did as it is very impressive. There is a board telling you some different myths (all in French but you get the idea from the pictures). There are some picnic tables too. A very nice spot and the light is very interesting at sunset.

“not a lot to see”
Reviewed 27 August 2013

The good thing is there is no charge for this attraction. It is very big and good to get a picture with someone stood next to it,only takes 5 minuets to see. The picnic area is nice with plenty of tables .It would be nice if there was some English translation of how it got there, but only French .
