This is the touristic centre point of the delightful town of Cangas de Onis, the ancient capital of Asturias, where according to legend the Moors were prevented form taking over the whole of Spain 1300 years ago. Although it is preserved as a romanic style bridge it has undergone modifications in almost every century since its construction, and you can see the different pieces of stonework the comprise the whole.
