“Friendly owners, close to good wine region”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

Perfectly located within a very good wine region. Friendly owners. Spacious, modern cottage set in very nice grounds. A shame not to have wifi access in the cottage and although wifi is available in the public areas, these didn't seem accessible after dark. Not ideal to have an open plan bathroom in the bedroom!

We stayed, my wife and me, in this most delightful place in late August. It 's been really O.K. Both the location, the rooms, like the kindness of our hosts and finally the excellent breakfast in the beautiful garden. I highly recommend it.

Since we loved staying at Chateau Beaupré so much last year, we decided to return this year and we we were again overwhelmed by its charm and authenticity (one example being the carefully chosen furniture in the flats and in the castle). This time we stayed in the flat "La Tour", which is in the castle and slightly smaller than the very spacious gites, but providing the same quality. It is a unique experience to live inside the tastefully renovated castle and at the same time being given the opportunity to have breakfast outside in the beautiful park.
Beaupré is the ideal place for people who prefer spending an independent holiday in an amazing building, and being welcomed by very friendly and discreet hosts.

If you want to stay in this area, this is THE place to stay by far! Although other places claim their quality, this is proven as very good. Charming rooms, charming personnel, charming atmosphere and a beautiful garden. Situated 10 miles from Avignon and 15 km from Uzes, 10 km from Château neuf du pale etc etc. Go and visit this location, you will not regret it. We will come back definitely.

Stayed here for 2 nights, but wanted to stay much longer. The castle is wonderful, as is the garden. We stayed in the castle itself with a small private garden. The room was sober but very charming. We did get a tour of the larger 'rooms' (small building next to the castle), one with it's own pool and these were very(!) modern. We will certainly be back!

Room Tip: Did not see the other rooms in the castle. If traveling with more then two I would definitely stay i...

The house, gardens and atmosphere was nice. However, the service coud be more welcoming for the price. The location is a bit remote but not difficult to get to. Overall, I found it priced at a 4-star hotel level but didn't live up to it in service, food and quality.

We stayed one night in "La Loggia" and one week in "La Colonne" with our children, ages 19, 17 and 14. Our stay was just perfect. The château itself is beautifully decorated with a combination of antique and contemporary - very modern bathrooms and a great, fully-equipped kitchen - and feels a bit like staying in a funky museum. The grounds are beautifully maintained and a pleasure to stroll around. The one night we stayed in "La Loggia", we had a beautiful breakfast served to us on the terrace which was so lovely. We spent a lot of time sitting on the terrace in the evening drinking local wines and having olives and other snacks we had bought at local markets.
The beds were very comfortable and the apartment was cool in the intense August heat if we left the shutters closed during the day.
Florence and Marc were the perfect hosts who bent over backwards to make sure that our stay was everything we wanted it to be. They were so warm and accommodating, we didn't want to leave at the end of our stay!
The village is a 10 minute walk from the château through the vines of the Côtes du Rhône. It has an excellent boulangerie and fascinating medieval tower and church. Saint-Laurent-des-Arbres is a great location from which to explore the Languedoc/Provence, and we explored quite a bit of the area. But I must say that we were torn between wanting to explore and wanting to stay on the lovely grounds of Château Beaupré, listening to the cicadas and simply relaxing. I would highly recommend this lovely and quiet location.
