Overall Yianna Hotel has a good location and a very nice restaurant. The pool is very useful in the summer days and very clean. The rooms are the smallest I,ve ever been. They have the basics, but 2 persons is difficult to walk around. Clearly overpriced rooms for what they offer. The breakfast was very poor also and not included in the room`s price.

Agistri is one of our favourite holiday destinations. We have been visiting Greece and the Greek Islands for over 20 years. We have tried many other hotels and apartments on the island and nothing compares to the welcome we always get from Yianna, Katerina and Vasso. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the water in the shower piping hot and plenty of it.
The bar and restaurant are very reasonably priced and there is a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The "Greek Night" is great fun, all the staff and a large proportion on the guests join in. There was also a BBQ evening which was delicious! The bar and restaurant often get very busy but the staff work very hard to make sure everyone is looked after. The pool is very clean and well maintained (we visited another larger pool on the island and found the water to be almost toxic due the the large amounts of chlorine used) as are the sun beds and shades.
I will definitely be back and recommend the Yianna Hotel to anyone visiting the island.

My husband and I returned to Hotel Yianna after 5 years to celebrate Easter in Greece Our friends came with us and we had an absolutely fantastic time. Katerina Yianna, Vasso and the boys are wonderful friendly people who make your stay so very enjoyable!! Fab food, beer & wine. Everything delicious and always a smile and a friendly word. We were involved in the Easter celebrations and the spit roasted lamb and greek celebrations were superb! This is real Greece with genuine Greek people and a wonderful Greek welcome!! Katerina and her lovely boyfriend took us out in their cars to explore this truly beautiful island. I would like to thank them all very much for a fantastic holiday!! Efcharisto Poli. Xxxxxx. Returned after two years to the hotel Yianna

The family delivered as always a warm welcome

the island offers a relaxing atmosphere plus of course Greek might on a Tuesday when you may let your hair down

the hotel is simply recommended with good food available and of course the pool

Room Tip: take a room away from the pool if you want to avoid the Greek night party

This is our second visit to the Villa in Metochi, went last year too (amazing views from the balcony) owned by the same family. We spent most of our days and nights in the Alter ego bar/smimming pool. Once again the family were great, they help to make the holiday so special. The family are brilliant with the children (10 and 6) and indeed all children helping to make them feel special. They both rated the holiday at 9.5 out of 10 (little one said it would be 10 if they had English TV and an X box - kids !). It takes a litte effort to get here but it is worth it. We had a lovely trip to the Island of Moni arranged for us, well worth a visit. The food is good and they were always happy to adapt the menu to suit us, my son lived off Chicken Souvlaki and his special club sandwich of his own making. Lifts to the Villa were always offered day and night. The island is pretty special if you take the time to explore a little, the beaches are safe with hidden gems to discover.

Thank you very much to everyone, hopefully see you soon.

I really enjoyed this trip to Agistri. I would compare this hotel to the standards back in the USA and i have to say, Hotel Yianna did not dissapoint! My family arrived with reservations at a nearby hotel, but we were disappointed with the location and the hotel itself. as We were standing in the middle of the road talking - my husband, my 2 toddlers and a friend from the states visiting- Katerina walked over from the alter ego restaurant to ask if we needed a room (restaurant right next to the hotel - its connected and owned by same people)
*** we stayed in the family room for a wonderful price and breakfast included.
There is a clean pool outside and the restuarant was very good and not overpriced! Plus we got a discount from Katerina every time we ate a meal here***
The first night we arrived it was a Tuesday and the restaurant was having a dinner buffet with Greek dancing from the workers. It was extremely nice, and the food was great as usual.
We originally were supposed to stay one night and we decided to stay two, because the hotel, the environment and the staff of the hotel.
I asked Katerina for some bread before dinner to give to my kids because they were hungry, and she gave me half a French bread at no charge... We asked for ice for some crown and coke we were drinking in the room, and Katerina gave us a medium size bowl full of ice. She is awesome!
For me feeling welcomed and uncomfortable makes the stay even better!!
Oh also, the restuarant is way cheaper that the water front ones .. Went to eat at a beach front tavern and they were charging 14euros for Kalamari, we got up and headed back to Alter ego restuarant... Kalamari was 7euros there!!
We left and made sure to get Katerina's personal info! We are Americans living in athens for the next year, and I can guarantee we will be back at least a few more times before we leave!!

We stayed in a first floor apartment at Yianni's for six wonderful days. Agistri is a magical island and Yianni's was the perfect location... near to the sea but on a quiet street. The family welcomed us like old friends and that is how we feel now. The apartment was spacious and comfortable with a lovely king sized bed on a mezanine floor which made the apartment feel like a real house. There was a simple kitchen (which we did not use) and a fridge (which we did). We got breakfast provided which was excellent. Great air conditioning made the apartment all the more welcoming after a day in the heat. This is a quiet little island and we were there out of season so the bus did not go beyond Milos except at weekends. We were very grateful to Katerina for taking us exploring (well beyond the call of duty!) thoug, to be perfectly honest, we were mostly content to be very lazy, do a bit of snorkling and let the sun warm our bones in this peaceful little sanctuary. It was lovely to be able to sit and chat with the family and learn more about the island. What can we say? We will be back!
