This hotel is absolutely amazing. The service and quality are impeccable and I can definitely recommend this resort to anyone who is visiting Bulgaria. The all inclusive restaurants are of good quality with fresh food and the a la carte restaurants serve incredible dishes.

Room Tip: The beach side villa's have an amazing view with immense terraces overlooking the coast

I stayed at the Sunset Resort with my partner for a long weekend a couple of weeks ago. The weather was lovely and warm and the setting relaxing, providing a great little extension to the English Summer which was coming to a close back home.

We stayed in the Delta complex in a very spacious two bed apartment, with stunning views over the complex and out to the beach. I have never stayed in an apartment so big! There was no Iron or ironing board in our room, but a quick call to reception and that was soon sorted by the friendly lady on duty.

The food was plentiful and delicious (especially the pancakes with the yoghurt and honey, mmmmm)

I would certainly go back to the Sunset Resort and have already suggested it to friends who would like a reasonably priced, relaxing lie in the sun.

Room Tip: Treat yourself to a front facing sea view room, well worth it

We picked Sunset Resort for late summer beach / relax holiday, and we made absolutely the perfect choice.

When we got to the airport we were picked up by our drive, and the moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the Duty Manager who offered us some of the local champagne - delicious.

The check-process went smooth, and we were taken to our beach villa - which was huge, both inside and outside. It was right on the beach.

We spent most of our time visiting the beach, one of the many restaurants or lying by the pool.

Very good value for money too.

We spent a long weekend at the resort and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food, the beautiful view to the sea and the good service! Really enjoyed our stay and would consider going back! We stayed in Delta 1, the room was spacious, quiet and clean! The staff was very helpful and kind. It is a nice resort for family holidays, as it is spacious, with different kind of activities organised by the entertainers.

Me and my fiancée spent a long weekend at the resort and were very pleasantly surprised by the very good service and excellent food (we were all inclusive). The resort is right on the beach and our room had beautiful views of the bay and the sea.

Got a glass of champagne while checking in.
Big rooms with good air conditioning and nice views.
Very touristic resort, many Western Europeans there (predominantly Germans).
Clean pool, many sun beds, good choice of different kinds of food. We tried the Asian restaurant: nice sushi.
Every room had marks of what looked like break in attempts (scratches on the doors), that was a bit unsettling.

This looks an impressive hotel in the brochure and online and in truth there are parts that are very impressive. The main part of the hotel or Sigma building is stunning, unfortunately we were placed in Eta, which is furthest away from the main part and definitely not 5 star. The rooms were very small, the main bedroom did not have a window which made it very dark and there was not enough storage space in any of the bedrooms. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor by a poorly fitting door and there was no cover on one of the lights in the bedroom. The noise at night was annoying as poorly sound proofed and you could hear everything going on in the rooms beside and above us! The hotel was very clean and our room was cleaned daily by very hard working staff, they even folded our clothes and washed up our dishes. The sunset system was not properly explained on arrival and although we were half board we were caught out by this 'system'. Out of the 9 restaurants we were only allowed to eat at one, Diamond, which served a selection of buffet choices, some seemed a little odd, cakes for breakfast, but hey ho, we were on holiday! This was not fully explained on arrival and on our first night we ate in another restaurant asking the waiter if we could eat there, he said yes and then we picked up a hefty 104 leva bill, which when we had already paid for half board, was rather annoying. When I tried to explain, we were shouted at by the restaurant Manager and the receptionist. That's customer service for you. On the plus side, the pools are fantastic and we never had a problem getting a sunbed. People would get up early to reserve them, but we found there were plenty around many of the various pools. I will say however, the pools are surrounded by little shrubby hedges, and when laying on your sunbed you do sometimes get a waft of urine coming from these bushes, nice! The animation team worked very hard during the day to keep people entertained and if that wasn't your scene they would leave you alone. The area around the hotel is not pleasant. It is situated in new Pomorie, which is very run down and deprived. If you take a long 40 minute walk or taxi ride to old Pomorie it is slightly better with a few bars and restaurants. Well worth a trip out is Old Nessabar, we went on the local bus which run every 40 minutes from Pomorie. It was more how we expected Bulgaria to be. We wish we had stayed there!

Room Tip: Avoid Eta, try to book Sigma and read the small print of what you get in your package! Avoid the shr...
