“The paradise on earth you MUST visit...)”
Reviewed 7 May 2013

First, we arrived there and the doormen immediately offered their service. They came immediately, smiled and were very very kind. They took our luggage and walked us to reception. The receptionist ladies were outstanding, very kind and smiled. Level of hospitality- 10 out of 10. Georgia and Irini were extremely kind and helpful with everything. They were kind and smiled all the time and ready to assist at all times. All the employees were extremely kind and smiled all the time. Always helpful and that's the way a hospitality company should operate. I was impressed with them. Amazing people. Everybody from the maids to the waiters and managers was extremely hands-on and polite. They were available at all times for us no matter how busy it was. The waiters did everything, whatever we requested they did. They were fast and professional. Their uniforms were neat and clean. Their dress code was perfect. Obviously the trainings they have are of a very high standard.

Exterior: the parking lot was amazingly beautiful, so green and having so many beautiful flowers everywhere. The building outside looks like a big mansion and it is indeed pretty. The palms and all the greenery just make it so beautiful and clean. The balconies and all the facilities there were just like heaven. The beach was amazing- clean and calm. All the facilities were new. The beach was like a private beach of the hotel. Just breathtaking. Crystal clear water and so many palm trees everywhere. So beautiful, indeed.

Interior: The lobby, restaurants and spa are stunning. I was amazed how beautiful they were. The wall with the water running on it in the spa is a great idea and really impressed me. So creative and splendid. All necessary facilities could be found there. The rooms were a bit too plain for such a hotel. I had higher expectations of them prior to my visit, plus you could hear everything in all other rooms almost on the floor. So the isolation should be better. I heard al babies crying all the time and couples fighting there, which is absolutely bad. The TV, lamps and bathroom were okay, but the beds and some of the colors inside weren't matching at all. So it looked kind of kitsch in a bad way (I mean why bright red color on earth with some figures on it), absolutely a horrendous and tasteless combination. Other than this, the balconies were great, the atmosphere was calm. The ambience was great in the restaurants- the music was pleasant and quiet. The internet connection was relatively fast. The toilets were clean and smelled nice. The smell in the whole hotel was great. The smell in the yard was great too thanks to the flowers.

Customer retention methods: The staff was very very friendly. The maids were giving food gifts every night. I found it amazing, that they would bring a letter or announcement to your room with food gifts every night. I think the idea is amazing and I loved it. It definitely makes you feel special. They also offered us free champagne as soon as we arrived there, as a welcome drink , while we are seated waiting for them to register us in the system. It was great. Really well-thought of. Excellent!

I could sleep very very well there. I also think that the climate is very good for sleeping in Greece. (plus the smell of sea next to you). Everything was very very clean and 90% of the facilities were new and expensive. The location was great, the quality of the food was amazing as well. The different thematic food nights were amazing- such as seafood theme night or other themes. Just continue this way! I found it amazing. The food was warm and always well-prepared. The presentation of the food was great. Its taste was amazing too. Everything was fresh. The smell of the food was great too. There were many alternatives a person could choose from.

In retrospect, I had an amazing experience and think this is a place you MUST visit! It was outstanding and if I could I would stay there forever or return asap! It's truly a paradise on earth!

Stayed here several times. Lovely unspoilt private beach, spent most of the time lazing in the sunshine. Friendly, professional staff. Beautiful views from the seaview rooms. Buffet breakfasts and dinners very good with lots of choice. Brilliant scuba diving centre on the beach, also water sports and boats to hire. Quiet tranquil place but maybe too many unsupervised toddlers running around late in the evening. Used to be a a little pontoon to swim out to and rest on plus chat with other guests but it disappeared in 2012. Hope it will be re-instated very soon. Taxis are scarce and it's too far to walk to Ouranoupolis but the hotel runs a minibus service.

Room Tip: Seaview definitely

We stayed here in may 2012. We had a fantastic time, everything was perfect.

The reception - we were met with a drink, and checked in on a sofa in relaxed style

The room - the family room was perfect for us travelling with a small child lots of space, lovely decor etc

The restaurants - excellent waiter service for both breakfast and dinner, supporting a lovely buffet style service, plus options for al a carte that we didn't try

The bar - lovely low key piano music at night- where our toddler danced to the delight of all.

Pool service - this was excellent with loads of towels, loungers and a button to press for beer - heavenly.

Childrens club - this was right next to the beach allowing people to come and go.

This was a surprise bucket and spa holiday and our expectations were not high - it was one of the best hotels we stayed in in Europe - lovely food, perfect service, everyone knew our name, ŵe could not fault it.

After a disastrous stay at abama Ritz Carlton we felt obliged to write a review with a hurray for one of the smaller guys offering a far superior service.

Room Tip: Book via the hotel to get free half board on of their offers.

My girlfriend and I stayed here October 2012 for one week. Its the best holiday we have ever had. The weather was perfect, hotel very quiet as end of season but the weather, food and drink made it perfect. The hotel rooms were very clean and had everthing you needed. They also provided a very cheap ironing service. If you like your food then definatly eat in one of the restuarants and not in the buffet, may cost you more money but well worth it. Its only 10 minutes shuttle ride to the town that had nice restaurants, two of you can eat with 2 bottles of wine for €50.

The beaches was very clean with clear blue water. Going back this year !!

Fully recommend it

Rooms were big and with an beautiful view very clean and well lighted. Beautifully pool but with the sea so close and so exotic you should just visit the pool for a cocktail drink. We had a really pleasant stay and can not wait to go back soon.

We spent 10 days at the hotel at the end of September. We had a bungalow with private pool and terrace. Although I have stayed in more luxurious hotel rooms, the very private pool and very large terrace along with a very short walk to the private beach made for a winning combination. The beach is excellent and we virtually had it to ourselves while we were there. The water is very calm and clear and excellent for swimming, there is also full water sport facilities available. The staff were generally very polite and helpful, although there were a couple of exceptions, I put it down to it being the end of a long season.

The restaurants were ok, perhaps not as good as they maybe should have been for the money. We actually drove to the little town at the end of the road and were spoilt with excellent food.

The only other warning I would give is that we did have a few problems with Mosquitos, improved after we bought some anti-mozzi cream.

So overall would definitely recommend the hotel but be ready for the Mosquitos and be prepared to explore and try out some of the local restaurants.

Even to name this unique hotel is really breathtaking due to its location, flair and monastically architecture.
Built in near Ouranoupolis ( HEAVEN TOWN ) a fishing village on the 3rd finger of the Chalkidiki peninsula is a superb, a true 5 stars, classy hotel. A mere 4 klm from the holy Mount Athos gates- the Monastery city with its myths and mysteries, NO females allowed in though- this hotel has welcomed numerous VIPs from all over the world.
It is a member of Small Luxury hotels of the World and is just 90 mins drive from Thessaloniki.
In a great location with a private sandy beach and green crystal water, the hotel offers an elegant life-style for honey-mooners, families, spa lovers and gourmets.
Luxury travellers have a choice between the hotel's restaurants : Almyra, Kamares, Vinium and Melathron. They 're ALL excellent with fine tastes and dishes- from the Greek & international cuisine- in a romantic atmosphere and a good service.( Who likes individuals takes on the hotel's yacht - another luxury - on a day trip to enjoy their picnic in one of the many picturesque small islands around the area.
The Spa offers high quality treatments of thalassotherapy and massage plus a sauna and a Turkish steam-bath (hammam).
The staff is friendly, helpful in a high professional manner and the atmosphere magnificent, mystique, romantic, relaxing. The prices -of the real luxury they provide- pretty reasonable.
Congratulations to the managers and the owners of such a gem ! It is worth it !
