“An ok hotel...not great”
Reviewed 5 October 2013 via mobile

After reading concerning reviews we were worried about staying here but the visit was ok. We arrived around 5pm, check in was friendly and quick. Stayed in room 412, one of the tower rooms. It was basic, had a tiny balcony and the bathroom needed some TLC for sure. However, it was clean and quiet.
We were really let down by the weather during our 5 night stay, and there isn't much to do or many places to sit in the hotel. We ventured into Sarigerme which is a bit of a dump, a few cheap shops and bars and restaurants, but it got us out for a bit!
Food in the hotel was ok, breakfast was a bit of a let down not much choice but lunch and dinner were better. Really enjoyed the Turkish pancakes! All inclusive drinks were also fine but stopped at 11pm, then you had to pay.
We went to the beach one day which was nice, free shuttle bus there and back which was a nice touch. There are free sun beds there as part of the Alinn hotel and you can use the all inclusive there for drinks and snacks.
Overall, the hotel is nice but it could be so much better. It had beautiful views but the resort itself is quiet with nothing much to do, and there is no entertainment in the hotel.
I don't think I'd come back again but it is peaceful and quiet if that's what your after, and children free!!

This was our 3rd visit and my sister's second. Despite reading some poor reports earlier in the season we found the hotel food and cleanliness to be just as good as it was last year. Well worth the money we paid for the holiday and we will not hesitate returning to this adults only hotel.

We were the last drop off from the airport - approx. 30 mins so not bad - and not too close to the airport that you experienced noise disturbance either.
Rooms; -
We had emailed the hotel and requested a high floor room with a nice view - this was granted and we were in room 502 - stunning views of the pool and the sea - the room wasn't as small as I had thought having read previous reviews - but the bathroom was very tired and really let the room down. There were no toiletries except 2 bottles of Dove liquid soap placed on the sink and in the shower area - a bit absurd really as they were not in proper holders and leaked everywhere!! I would have thought a 4 start hotel would have thermostatic mixer showers not a manual bath mixer shower.
We slept very well and found the beds comfy - if i'm being picky I would say pity it was twin beds pushed together and 2 pillows each would have been nice but it didn't spoil our holiday. It might be worth taking your own hangers too as 6 were not enough for the 2 of us to hang all our clothes!! It is also worth noting that there are no tea and coffee facilities in the room.
For non smokers like us be warned - the previous occupants must have been smokers and the room really smelt strongly of smoke for the first few days.
Pool;
The small quieter pool apparently has more shade - we liked the bigger pool by the Panorama bar - although the bar played music (often the same few tracks repeatedly) it did not spoil the peaceful ambience of such a beautiful setting. The views from the pool and the bar are stunning.
Bars;
We preferred the Panorama bar not just because of its setting - Charlotte particularly made you feel welcome. I drink Whiskey which is not included in the all inclusive package - nor rum - so if you like Brandy or Gin or wine / beer you'll be ok! I think it would have been nicer if a small selection of cocktails had been available to offer another choice.
We travelled at the end of September and it does get quite windy early evening - its worse in the Panorama bar so ladies take a cardigan.
Restaurant;
Firstly - don't be taken in by the one A La Carte meal per stay - this is a set menu that is served to everyone - fish only and not really worth bothering with. The main restaurant has a reasonable selection of foods - we are not fussy eaters but we did struggle after a few days. The soup was always lovely - and there was always lots of lovely fresh bread - a good selection of salad and fruit too - but the main meals being very 'samey' after a while. The chef's on the cooking stations didn't speak much English. The waiter's all worked very hard and looked after you - I can't fault the service.
Summary - if you want sun, peace, no kids and beautiful surroundings then this is for you - as long as you don't mind the limited selection of drinks. We walked into the local town for a few meals which helped - there were repeat guests here - but we wouldn't return as we didn't feel it had the standard we would expect of a 4 star hotel - pity really because the potential is there.

Went to alinns during September for a week with my boyfriend, I was slightly nervous as I has read a few bad reviews a few days before going, but as soon as we arrived we were pleasantly surprised, we were well looked after, the room was pleasant, bed slightly uncomfy but didn't stop me sleeping, the balcony was a little small too, there were plenty of sunbeds so never a problem in a morning, got fresh towels everyday and plenty of drinks too. Food was fine not enough choice very similar most days, but always something to eat. Overall a lovely holiday I would defiantly return in the future.

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks our first holiday with no children and all I can say is that it was amazing.
Having read previous reviews I was expecting low quality food however I was pleasantly surprised with the high standards and often freshly cooked to order.
The grounds of the hotel are so beautiful and it never felt crowded or noisy in fact the only thing that let it down was the bathroom which flooded when using the shower ( a problem we have had in many other hotels).
The beach was clean and again quiet and very relaxing, drinks were provided and delicious freshly made pancakes were available for lunch.
We have visited Turkey many times before and this hotel is one of the best we have stayed in.If you want a relaxing time with good food and beautiful scenary book now, if you want karoke, bacon and burgers dont go here and ruin it for everyone else with your moaning.

We have just returned from the alinn this morning I cant begin to do this hotel justice the setting is second to none you have to experience it to believe it. The staff are lovely nothing to much trouble if we had taken notice of the trip adviser comments we would have missed out on the most amazing experience we have ever had . I believe the hotel has had problems in the past but the management and owner have definatley pulled out all the stops to correct these problems .If you want a high class hotel set in paradise with the chill factor a priority then look no further. the beach is private and is a short mini bus ride or 10 min work away it is kept spotless and drinks and sandwiches are on tap the sun beds are decking platforms with mattreses just like double beds(COMFY) Thanks to Charlotte and phabio for making our Stay special. Stephen and Angela Freestone from Norwich

Room Tip: The tower rooms are the best but there is only 6 rooms out of over 100 all rooms are good

We arrived at the tail end of the food debacle that preceeded our stay and listened to the other guests comments and clearly there were problems which had been resolved as the food was so much better than described. The Hotel owners are certainly looking to sell up which may be a good thing because this Hotel will be a gold mine when run efficiently. Quite few suits were visiting and looking at it whilst we were there.
The Hotel is magnificent and well maintained and has a panorama of views to die for,
The rooms they were well maintained a bit small but kept very clean and towels and sheets were changed daily the maid was excellent as well.

Used the free Turkish & suana 3 times whilst we were here absoloutly brilliant facility

The food was on the first day a bit dissapointing but picked up 200% the following day the arrival of the Chef had clearly made a difference from then on the food was very good and neither of us left the table hungry at all do not expect to get sausage or bacon for breakfast as it is a muslim country! They have a Chef who makes fresh flatbreads we called the food station "Frankie and Akmheds" these were excellent and my son became hooked on the meat & spinach-Ricotta cheese ones.
The staff were all so friendly and efficient Fabio & Charlotte did a lot for the customers and were quite entertaining however I think they will be leaving at the the seasons end looking for pastuers new as the turmoil of the two previous months has left its mark.

Seregerme village is 20 minutes walk away down the hilland is a super village that is not your face like Bodrum & marmaris is and you can enjoy a peruse in the shops at your leisure without being hassled, all us men had a turkish shave at th barbers and for £5 it was a bargain.

All in All we had a very good holiday and if the Owners do sell up I see it as a good thing, only because this is the best Adult Only Hotel I have ever been to and new management would give it futher impetus to become and excellent 4 star facility and I would come again

Room Tip: 201 to 210 or 301 to 310 or 401- 410 etc all good views and have a pool/sea view
