We spent three nights with our 10 month old. Brenda who runs the bed and breakfast went out of her way to make us feel at home and welcome. We turned up late at night and our 10 month old kept us awake till wee hours of the morning but Brenda was very accommodating. We would love to return to the Cotswold and stay at little broom. We stayed in the self catered apartment which was spacious and very well furnished and equipped. The hotel was very well maintained and the breakfast was scrumptious. I would recommend this place to everyone especially families with little ones.

This little hideaway is one of the best b&bs we have ever stayed at
The owners son Jack and his daughter made us feel most welcome
The rooms are great and the breakfast was good to

We walked up the old lane every night to the village about 5 mins great little place to eat out and the shops are all full of interesting things
And our little girl made good use of there outdoor heated pool

A great place to stay

We will be returning soon
Thanks again

Jason Taft

Room Tip: Rooms in the main house are ideal for a good nights sleep

Some friends and I stayed at Little Broom five nights while touring the Cotswolds. We were satisfied with every aspect of our time there. Brenda was hospitable, cooked a great breakfast, and asked about our plans and provided good advice. We enjoyed her. The B&B is a short walk to Stow in the Wold. I made in about 7 minutes. I'm a fast walker. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. If I'm lucky enough to come back to the Cotswolds I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Little Broom again.

Room Tip: The studio apartment.

We stayed for a weekend in the middle of the summer deluge (July 2012). Brenda made us very welcome, cooked lovely breakfasts and has a lovely house in a stunning location. A short splash up the tree-lined private road took us straight to the centre of Stow and by walking out of the door we could walk straight into the beautiful Cotswold countryside. The room was a little small by some standards but we were well aware of this when booking and it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

A wonderful (if wet!) weekend away without the kids.

Room Tip: I think the outside rooms have more space and privacy but are slightly more expensive.

We just spent 2 nights in the studio. It was very well equipped and we found the furnishings entirely appropriate for the country setting. Brenda is very forthright but extremely welcoming and helpful - and the breakfast was delicious. The location is so peaceful with a beautiful garden and an ideal base within easy reach of some of the most popular destinations in the area. My only comment would be that the water pressure in the shower is quite low, but that didn't prevent us from being able to use it. We will most certainly go again.

We had the room in the annex closest to the paddock. We used the living room mainly for a place to put our luggage but if we were staying longer it would have been a nice place to relax and watch TV in the evening. The location was perfect - just a short walk into town and It was very quiet and peaceful with a nice garden to sit in, our own wrought iron table and chairs to have coffee or drinks on. We enjoyed the delicious full English breakfast with fresh rhubarb jam. Our only criticism is that the bathroom was dated, a bit dark, and the shower pressure was very low. Our towels were not changed after the first night and were still damp when used next. We would still recommend this room and would stay there again.

Room Tip: The annex room was quiet and private.

The Little Broom is well situated, quiet and lovely gardens. We stayed in the apartment for one night. The accommodation was dated and fussy. Breakfast was a disaster as both the glass container and small milk jug were dirty and this was off putting. When we took another jug from a near table the owner showed her displeasure and removed it telling us off. We were too polite to say it was because of dirty crockery originally. Then she attempted to mop our table as if we had spilt milk again being unpleasant. We were treated like naughty children. Our plates were whisked away promptly even though we hadn't finished. The breakfast itself was good but the atmosphere was a joke. I think for a twin room at £80 per night then uk landladies should learn some social skills. She was smiling bright enough when we paid in cash. Our plan had been to rebook but definitely not after our morning experience.
Charging such high prices should ensure a more positive attitude and accommodation which is continually improved rather than left to become shabby and dated. One light and dryer not working and central heating only available on a timer which could not be regulated by guests. Suggest you book else where!
