My husband and I just returned from a week’s stay at the Grand Hotel Paraiso. We both absolutely loved the resort. We were in building 72 and it was a great location, very close to the restaurants and the main lobby (we were on the ground floor overlooking the serenity pool). The food was very good and we especially liked Toni’s (for surf and turf). If you’re a lobster lover you’ll be in heaven; you can get lobster for every meal if you choose to. Both the main and serenity pools are large and it’s nice that they have a good amount of cabanas around the pools.
I agree with some other posts – there are some columns and overhangs that the paint is chipping off, and the cushions on the loungers aren’t great (the two piece pads aren’t bad but the one piece pad just don’t stay put - - I finally got rid of the pad) – but these are minor issues.
Overall this is a lovely resort and we can’t wait to go back.More
