“Not a great time...”

After returning from a 2 week holiday, where do I start? First impressions the hotel, looks lovely, but don't let that fool you! Didn't get the room payed for, kids had to sleep on campbed (for which son had accident on) and sofa (for which teenage daughter had to sleep on)....found out during stay that hotel was overbooked! Playpark unsafe as both kids hurt themselves on roundabout and metal post sticking out of ground! Food left a lot to be desired, but Greek restaurant lovely... if up early for breakfast, make sure you take some drinks to the pool as pool bar didn't open until 10.30am! Pools were great, kids loved them, cleanliness of the public amenities left a lot to be desired as not cleaned often enough (considering Greek rules for toilet habits), went back to room when need to go! Some of the staff rude, and ignored British tourists over other nationalities (not good)... I could go on, but my one biggest gripe is that this hotel is supposed to be a 4* all inclusive hotel, just make sure you take money with you as you will need it with all the little extras they charge you for.. Will certainly not be recommending hotel to others and although our hotel rep was lovely, will not be travelling Thomas Cook for a holiday as this vacation has not felt like one!

Room Tip: Make sure you check with reception when checking in that you are in the right room! Altough room giv...

We spend our holidays in village hotel in Kos our children loved it (specially the big pools , the big pirate ship and the Italian restaurant with the pizzas......) and the overall impression is very good. We loved the island and we definitely come back.
We would like to thank Dimitrios and Gintare for their effort to make our holidays special.

We stayed in this hotel 2 weeks in July 2013.This was our best vacation in Greece in the last 6 years. The hotel is on excellent location,5-6 minutes by bus to the Kos, the station is located in front of the hotel, Beach (stones) is between 50-300m depending on where your room is located, wind blows 24 hours so you do not feel heat and therefore no mosquitoes and flies. Room 2+1 was large enough with modern furniture probably recently renovated.Food in this AI resort was average but you get how much you pay. Animation team ARKE-TUI(Laura & Frank) and 1-2 Fly absolutely the best we ever had in Greece, our daughter enjoyed mini disco, kids club and we in the other activities organised by the team. If you are with kids, definitely right place for you,

we just returned from a 2 week holiday to this hotel and it was brilliant. Starting off with the rooms we had a standard room for 3 which was adequate in size and i dont know why people say the bathrooms old fashioned as ours was fine and i had a nosey in other rooms around the complex and they looked the same but the bathrooms were fine. A great fridge which kept drinks nice and cool and a free safety deposit box and free air con. Food was good lots of pork and fish and lots of variety no one could go hungry but as always it does get repetetive but you could make a reservation for the italian and greek in this hotel for a change of scenery but we were not impressed with the italian. You also had the option of booking into the Kipriotis Panorama (buffet style) or Kipriotis Maris(a la carte served to your table) we didnt use Panorama but used the Maris and it was lovely these were within 5 mins walk from hotel. The hotel complex was very spacious and plenty of sunbeds but not always in the place you wanted and there was a lively pool, 2 kids pools with slides and a quieter olympic pool which was massive. POOL TOWELS yes you can hire them for 8 euros per towel but they are not always available to replce so i wouldnt rely on this service. Drinks were fine but cola and sprite very sweet so just watered down with ice. All bars other than restaurant and terrace bars served drinks in plastic cups. The Palmy pool was good for families as this had littly funky houses where all the different nationality kids clubs were hosted so not too far to walk ti drop off/pick up kids and a playground there too. EVENING ENTERTAINMENT in my opinion was terrible but i have never bothered with it much before but lots of people walked out but others must have liked it some days were better than others. The shops on site were well stocked but I would say please support the locals outside the hotel as they are getting taken over by all the big chains of hotels. If you have anything you want ask please contact me i give an honest review.

We visited Kipriotis Village in July 2013 for a two week holiday- having picked this hotel following a visit to Kos last year - we are a family of 4, with kids aged 10 and 7 - and we visit Greece every year and so are well used to Greek "ways" and standards. The hotel certainly lived up to our expectations, and we had an excellent holiday. The hotel is spotlessly clean, rooms were fine, and the food was very good with lots of different options both in terms of menu, and different places to eat. We particularly liked the BBQ bar for lunch, and the Greek restaurant on an evening (a bit less "manic" than the main restaurant.) The complex is huge, and so it does lose a little in terms of atmosphere - you could be there 2weeks and never see the same person twice - but the plus side of that is that there are numerous pools and facilities - too many to list - but in particular 4 separate pool areas plus "kiddy" pools - so you can pick which pool suits. If you are fussy about where your sun beds are then you might need to be up early to get your favourite spot (we are fussy so we had to be out very early to bag our spot) - but if you are not so bothered there are plenty of beds. The location is superb - just 10 mins by regular and cheap bus into Kos Town, or you can hire a bike and use the very good (flat) cycle path into town. I really would encourage you to visit the town - it has everything - a picturesque harbour, history, bars, shops, restaurants etc - I appreciate many people will be happy to stay in the hotel, but we preferred to go into town most evenings if just for a stroll and a drink. In addition, the hotel is right on the beach - though a word of caution, the beach is all pebbles, with a steep drop into an often quite rough sea. We really liked the beach for its breeze and peace and quiet - but it is certainly NOT the place if you have kids who like a "bucket and spade" holiday (all the beaches around Kos town are like this - you would need a different part of the island if you want a sandy beach). All in all a really good hotel - good value - highly rec for families (probably less so for couples as it is predominantly a family hotel) - which we would find hard to fault.

One of my daughters, her 6yr old son and I holidayed for a week here in Kos island end of July to 1st August. The hotel complex is huge and the 'village' of assorted apartments covers an enormous land area arranged around the various pools, amphitheatre, sports courts etc., and toddlers' area. It backs onto a beach, not the best but who wants it anyway with all the facilities you've paid for. Main road at front, bus stop to the right, small supermarket opposite, in-hotel shopping as well. Food is good, varied, self-service mostly and quantity excellent with some themed evenings - I just found it a lot of walking about from apartment to hotel, to restaurants, surveying the array of foods on offer and back again ...... and there were a LOT of people milling around at mealtimes in the hotel and in the BBQ area which serves lunch. Not many English, mostly Finn/Russian/Dutch when we were there and they can be quite without manners, not all, but.... Our room was basic but clean with AirCon, large door onto a good size patio. Staff helpful, polite and happy - entertainment most evenings, the last being a comedy night, tastefully composed sketches played by staff members were as professional and funny as any at theatre or on TV. We didn't experience the bug problems other reviewers seem to have had but then we are 'seasoned' in Mediterranean night visitors and kept doors and windows firmly closed from late afternoon and when the light was on in our room. The beds are old and lumpy and pillows - I'd have discarded years ago so we didn't have very good sleeps. I hired a Jimmy Jeep and so we travelled about the island and into the hillsides - lovely, especially liked Xia - and we took a boat trip to Bodrum which was good value and enjoyable (watch out with the Shish Kebab tho', perhaps we were silly trying something like that but we've eaten it in Greek resorts and been fine, the Turkish cafe looked good too but you never can tell - good we went the last day 'cuz we got a mildly jippy tummy). We found local Kos people mostly very pleasant and of course they love children especially, as in our case, they try to speak a little Greek - can't say the same for grumpy taxi-drivers though.

Room Tip: It's a bit luck of the draw, no choice available when we booked.

Stayed at this hotel with my wide and 3 children from 10th to 21st July. The memorable positives are...... Perfect for families. Swimming pools amazing. Restaurants and food are varied and plentiful. Great site (10 mins from kos town). Loads of good trips to go on. Special mention to the kids club girls Hannah, Ashleigh and Sam who made it memorable for the kids and Stefan the Thomas Cook rep who was A1. All in all a memorable holiday, only negative is the multi national nature of the hotel means that you have to understand other cultures (Russians don't queue for anything it seems).
