“Excellent place to stay”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

This hotel is well located situated just across the road from the beach. You can either walk into Kos centre (15 minutes) or catch a bus directly outside the hotel (2 minutes). The bus will cost you 1.50 euro or a taxi for 6 euro. The grounds of the hotel are extensive providing plenty of shade in the shape of pear, lime and pomegranate trees with more than enough loungers. The pool area had a main pool (30 metres) with a snack bar and a kiddies pool . Again there were plenty of loungers. Wi-Fi which is free is really only accessible from the lobby.
The food was very good and had plenty of variety and the restaurant was always kept clean and tidy.
The rooms were a good size and the beds were mainly comfortable. Lastly but definitely not least were the staff who went out of their way to make sure you were happy. The receptionists particularly, Irene and Sophia, were the public face of the hotel and they deserve a mention and commendation in this review for their very helpful and friendly approach. Nothing was too much trouble for them or indeed for any of the staff that we had the pleasure to come into contact with.
Sarantis Charinos, a member of the bar staff had a natural jubilant and outgoing manner and as a result was known to everyone of the guests. His PR approach to his work added to the feeling that this was indeed a family hotel.
Anyone thinking of going to Kos would not be disappointed if they chose this hotel.

I arrived at the hotel and walked through reception up to the desk now when I arrived I was the only guest in the reception area however the night receptionist blanked me and started talking to other guests that had appeared, so first impressions weren't great already but I let it go, so whilst checking in i asked about my request i made on booking for a double bed and instead of a yes or no answer he jumps down my throat and starts getting aggressive saying i'm not allowed to have people stay, i was annoyed as i was travelling alone and had no reason for someone to stay, then when my friend came to say hello and meet me from the hotel the receptionist started threatening to call the police?! i was shocked no one was doing any harm. when i tried to make a complaint the manager was either not in and when she was she didn't care. AWFUL SERVICE not staying again and i recommend a different hotel altogether. my first holiday on my own ruined by poor service.

Only 15 minutes from Kos center away (by foot). Bike rental service directly in front of hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was really good, different menues every day. Room was big enough and clean. Would stay there again.

The hotel very good especially the room and room service.

The most annoying is that at dinner they don't give you any drink for free. even water from the tap so you'll need to buy drink and although there is a national low about it.

The only place you have a wi-fi is at the lobby, and there is no a.c there.

If you don't put a sign on your door the staff just knock and open with his key.

Room Tip: all rooms are the same. no one is really with full view to the sea.

This hotel was better than we expected. The staff were most pleasant and very friendly, especially those on reception. Nothing was too much trouble to them and service was always given with a genuine smile. Our room which was on the first floor was a good size complete with a double and single bed. The room which was clean, bright and spacious had a lovely private balcony which overlooked the main external bar/lounge seating area below. The hotel gardens were always immaculately maintained and this is where we spent many an hour relaxing on the numerous amount of sun-beds which were readily available. Although there was an adequately sized swimming pool on-site we preferred the sea which was just a short skip and a hop across adjacent main road. The breakfast catered more for the European appetite rather than the British one however, the evening meals more than made up for this as they were nice and varied. The deserts were especially delicious.

Room Tip: External rooms would probably be quieter however, the inward facing room that we had was quiet from...

This year we knew we wanted to try a half-board option instead of self-catering and so opted for the Continental Palace in Kos. We were not disappointed! We have visited Kos twice (pre-children) and knew that we adored the location as there really is something for everyone.
The hotel was clean and tidy. Some say the decor is dated - I thought it was just traditionally Greek! The pool was top class and even in August when the hotel was fully booked there was no worry about grabbing a sunbed.
The food was amazing! Every day the menu was different and we got to try so many different exciting dishes. Again, I was worried about queueing and not getting a table but no such problem. There were plenty of places to sit and the food was plentiful and replemished very swiftly! Breakfasts were a banquet in themselves - we certainly never went hungry... :)
Eating out in Greece is very expensive now - we paid 40 euros for a simple meal for 2 adults and 2 children in Kos town and so half-board really was the best way to keep costs down during our stay.
I would highly recommend - infact, we're thinking of going back again next year....

stayed here for two weeks.nice clean hotel lots of sun beds to go round so no need to rush for them in the morning.its nice to use the beds in the garden for privacy,as apposed to the regimental line of beds around the pool.food was nice.theres the occasional bbq and greek nights outdoors. receptionist very friendly and helpful.a bit of a walk to the bars in town but the entertainment at the hotel wasnt too bad if you didnt fancy a walk or there is a bus service outside the hotel and taxis are only 6 euros.the three island boat trips are nice, book them on the evening where they are moored.tip when walking along the main drag beware of the ding-a-lings[the many cyclists who ring there bells if you dare to wander into the cycle lane].all in all a very pleasent stay.ps.no good for the ravers you would be better off in kardemena.
