“would definately recommend this hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2010

The location was excellent for us as we enjoyed the 15 minutes walk to the centre of Kos town along the Marina. We were very impressed by our spacious room and we were lucky to have a large balcony with a fantastic panoramic sea view. The room was cleaned every day with fresh bed-linen and towels. The hotel in general was spotless and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There were nice touches like a bowl of fruit on arrival and a bottle of whisky on departure, compliments of the management. We were also allowed to extend our checkout time free of charge although we had to be moved to another room - not a problem!. The entertainment was OK but not really our cup to tea. The food was very good with a variety of different dishes and all fresh. The swimming pool was very clean and never too busy. We loved the grounds which were green and very well maintained and all the trees were in blossom - lovely!
The only negative we have is the cost of the drinks - they do not serve tea and coffee with the evening meal (these are included with the breakfast along with fruit juice) even a bottle of water was expensive. We wished we had brought a travel kettle with us to have hot drinks in our room.
Kos old town is beautiful and we would definitely recommend it as a resort - very interesting archaeological sites to explore - great taverna's and restaurants with a great atmosphere at night.

We returned from the Contintal Palace yesterday after having had one of the best weeks away we have ever had.
The staff there are second to none and bend over backwards to help you.
The rooms are quite simple but very clean and pefectly adequate and with free aircon too, I really don't know what some people expect having read some of these reviews.
Irene on reception is an absolute star, she even arranged a birthday cake for our little girl and when our son got a really bad heat rash, she gave us some cream that sorted him out very quickly.
The food is very very good, with a huge choice not only for evening meals but for breakfast too.
The pool area is clean and uncrowded thanks to the fantastic gardens that the hotel sits in which allow you to get away from the direct sun.
There is also a playground, childrens pool and crazy golf for the kids (but ours were never out of the pool).
Kos town is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel and the Marina about 5 minutes with numerous bars and restaurants along the way, so it's ideally suited for both a family holiday and for people without kids.
All in all this is was a superb family holiday.
Thanks to Anneka,Katrina,Irenie and especially Irene for making this such a great holiday. (and the guy who cooked the eggs in the morning who my wife took a shine too.)

Went with husband and sister in law, Room very basic, but very clean sheets changed every day also towels .
Did not like paying for safe , or to use fridge , but we did keep our milk and bottles of water in it shh!! , Would have been nice to have had a kettle , must be an English thing good job I took my own !.
Food very good , they could do with more staff in the evening at dinner time, poor girls were run off their feet.
Must compliment Katrin she is smashing all ways had a smile on her face , and coped very well one night when she was on her own we felt very sorry for her.
Aris was very good , he was very entertaining , Greek night not bad.
On the whole staff very helpful and friendly ,.
One poor point we had 2 days of rain and could not get an English station on the telly , despite repeatedly asking for it to be fixed.and it never was.
Would go back again , but would not advise it for children , nothing for them to do that we could see.

Had enjoyable 3 week break in Greece. The people in Kos are extraordinarly friendly. This applies to the folk in the hotel as well. Be careful at reception. Irene comes across as a lovely helpful person and talks a great game UNTIL you need something, Watch her leap for a phone or bodyswerve quickly, I have never seen anything like it. Whatever you do ask anyone at reception except Irene; you will get a much better service The bedrooms are good but pretty basic and certainly never 4 star material. You will always hear your neighbour which, in our case, was hugely annoying with screaming baby next door. The abiding memory we have of this hotel are friendly people, wonderful restaurant staff but the hotel takes a generally petty attitide to all "extras". Pay for a safe, pay to use the fridge provided in the room if you buy your own water and, amazingly, pay for air conditioning ( only " free" June and July.) Also Wifi at €5 per hour is just ridiculous. Don't expect a late checkout unless you are willing to fork out another €50.

We won't be returning.

We spent our summer holiday in Kos in this hotel and we were more than satisfied.

The rooms are big enough and cleaned every day. Although my boyfriend came 3 days alter me and the cleaning lady probably didn't notice there's one more person in the room so she kept changing only my towel and there was no towel at all for my boyfriend. But this was solved immediately as we reported this. There was a tv with english channel so we could watch the news ;-)

The lady at a reception desk was so so helpful, smiling at us every day, and she advised us where to find nice beaches. The beach just in front of the hotel wasn't very nice, it was narrow and with a bad access to the sea. So we went every day to Tigaki beach, which is far far from the hotel but was worth it - you must take a bus from Kos-Town (20 minute walk from the hotel, another 20 minute ride to Tigaki, I think it was around 1,5 Euro). The bus stop in the Kos Town was very hard to find! But as I said, the beautiful beaches in Tigaki was worth this everyday trip!

Breakfast and dinners at the hotel were excellent, we never had a problem to find a table and there was always enough food of a good choice. The waiters were very kind and fast. Every Friday there was a barbecue instead of dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent although Kos is quite windy in the evening and sometimes it was hard to keep the tablecloth on the table :-)

We visited the pool bar only once, just before our departure and i wasn't very satisfied with the service there as they were too slow and not interested, we were waiting 15 minutes for somebody to come and ask for an order! This made me a bit nervous as I was afraid that we would miss the flight although I know that Greek people are never in a hurry :-)))

The pool itself was fine, I was there only twice or three times but I cannot complain, i always found a free sunbed which I moved to the shade of the tree in the garden. I read some bad reviews about the pool but it seemed perfectly fine to me. I enjoyed the jacuzzi in the swimming pool ;-)

There was some evening entertainment every night, but we never joined as we always went downtown or stayed at the balcony and chatted ;-) But I think it can be nice for families.

The location was good, 20 minute walk to the center, or you can take a bus which we actually never did because it wasn't really SO far. Kos Town is quite small but beautiful with all the restaurant in the street, historical sights and very nice people.

If I get back to Kos again, hard to say if I choose this hotel again, the location was very good as you can get easily to the center but very bad for the beaches. And we went both to the beach and to the town every day :-)

Neither good nor bad just a standard hotel.

Good points. I thought the food was ok. Room Contained a double and a single bed. Sea View. Quiet Most nights. Large garden and pool area with plenty of shade. Hotel clean.

Bad points.

WI-FI 5 EUROS FOR 1 HOUR

Hotel too far from centre 25 minute walk, although It does have a bus stop outside entrance.

I love Kos town harbour and the history so was happy to be back but never in the CPH again. The breakfast was ok but as for dinner chicken or fish (nuggets and fish fingers even - truly!) every night was dreadful. The same chips, salad and icecream every night too. The entertainment was pretty poor too - a very strange fakir on Thursdays. The pool area was ok - except that the pool itself was full of dead insects and the steps in were a bit rickety.
I don't know what staff the other reviewers met but the restaurant people lost interest when you didn't order drinks and the gardener was downright rude when he wanted to mow under you and you were sunbathing! I was asked at one point if I wopuld share a room with a stranger as they had no room - not impressed. The bar staff were the best and the outside bar seating area was good in the evening. Never saw anyone in the Garden bar and the pool snack bar was expensive.
Rooms were ok, aircon up to early Sep and the TV had 2 english channels, also plenty of storage drawers etc. Also impressed with the little chapel in the gardens.
1euro bus to the harbour was good and generally the holiday was fine, if I had had B&B maybe it would have been better.
Would return to Kos but not to this hotel.
