There was a very warm welcome when we arrived and the staff were very helpful. Although we didn't arrive until 8.30pm one of the first things they mentioned was that the restaurant was open until 9.30pm. The rooms were well maintained and roomy, with the added bonus of air conditioning in the price. The safe was 20 euro's and used a keypad system rather than the usual key type - which was great not having to carry a key around. You just had to remember which number you programmed in:-). Rooms were cleaned everyday and the maids were very friendly. The hotel is a 15 minute bus journey away from Kos town, and the local bus service is very regular throughout the day - bus tickets available from reception 1 euro 50 each way per person. Kos town is well worth a visit especially for the harbour. We enjoyed our day out here especially as there is very little around the hotel area in the way of shops and bars. The pool area is very clean and in a nice setting, with plenty of sunbeds available. The beach is a 15 minute walk away but is small and rocky - with a small beach shack serving soft drinks. I have to be honest and say we never used this but we didn't book this as a beach holiday. Breakfast is the usual variety of food that you get on most all inclusive holidays that being bread, dried fruit, meats and cheese. Hot food including sausages, bacon, eggs etc and then the usual pastries and pancakes. Dinner and tea were a variety of salads, meats cooked on the hot plate and the usual vegetables, potatoes, chips etc. There was plenty of choices for all. The one comment i would make that other people have mentioned was that none of the food was labelled. I enjoyed nearly everything that I ate but would have liked to have had some information about each dish. There is no snack bar available throughout the day but at 3pm there are cakes and available and for the kids there are free icecreams - at any other time icecream can be bought from the pool bar. All local drinks were all inclusive until 11pm at night and this was late enough for us. The local wine and beer were very nice but as other people have commented the soft drinks are not "branded" and as such were drinkable but not great quality. The animation team worked hard throughout the day to ensure everyone was happy, with a varied programme of activities - a little repetative on the sixth day but the kids enjoyed it. The evening entertainment comprised of a mini disco for the kids at 9pm and then a varied programme at 10pm. I have to admit this at times was below expectation for a 4 star hotel. All in all we had a lovely relaxing holiday, with no problems. Special mention for our rep Stefan (Thomas Cook) who was very enthusiastic and took time to find us everyday and make sure we were ok and enjoying ourselves. If visiting the resort one comment I must add is bring insect repellant. There were seven of us in the party - it ranged from one person having 1 bite to another with 29 bites. I hope all this helps anyone booking their next holiday.
