Great location and extremely relaxing. Pool lovely and all aspects very pleasing. Mainly German guests ( about 60%). All inclusive Food just great with plenty of variety. Staff very friendly and helpful. Opt in low key entertainment which is great as you have a choice. Rather lovely lunch at beach bar too. Pretty hammocks , beanbags and kiosks/seated areas all over but all clean and perfectly located. Only thing was A La Carte restaurant ( one meal per week) didn't think was half as good as main restaurant and wouldn't have bothered with it. Highly recommend resort for price and comfort:)

Arrived back from Oceanis Beach and Spa Resort in Kos yesterday after a week-long break there. First impressions of the hotel when you walk in are very impressive - huge air conditioned reception area which is furbished in a very contemporary style with lovely seating areas and unusual chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling. This continued into our room which was of a good size, big double sink in the bathroom, walk in shower and not to mention an enormous bed (at least a king size!) Complimentary bottle of wine in the fridge and a fresh large bottle of water everyday. Clean bathrobe and slippers in the wardrobe. Our balcony also got the sun pretty much most of the day which made it lovely to sit out there with my book. One thing to say about this hotel is that is it spotlessly clean throughout - our bedroom was attended to everyday and this kind of attention continued through all of the public spaces in the hotel. There are two pool areas, one overlooking the sea with plenty of beds and another further back in the gardens of the hotel next to a little bar that served crepes and toasties all day (all inclusive too!) both pools extremely clean. It was a really nice mix of people staying in the hotel, mainly English couples of all ages (quite a few honeymooners), German people and quite a few Greeks too. There was a great atmosphere in the bar areas at night with up to four bars to choose from and different entertainment throughout the week - a barbeque on the beach one night with freshly cooked meat and salad (a particular highlight!), resident musician playing requests, pianist in the reception area, film projection on the beach another night, Greek dancers and even a fire eater!! We were never bored and there was always plenty going on. Not all drinks are all inclusive at the bar, but there is a still a very good selection of wines, beer, spirits and cocktails included. Onto the food, I have read that some people have been disappointed with this element of the holiday but really I thought the food was of a good standard. I have visited hotels with more variety in the past, however, there was more than enough to choose from at Oceanis. All kinds of fruits, cooked breakfasts, fresh bread cereal etc. in the morning, fresh salads, meat, pastas and lots of vegetable dishes in the evening - we were never stuck for something to choose. Breakfast and dinner happen in the main restaurant or 'yacht club' and lunch happens in a taverna style restaurant - both overlooking the sea which is lovely. The hotel staff are all very helpful, polite and welcoming, particularly Antonis who is the restaurant manager and made the effort to learn our names and would chat to us everyday which was a lovely personal touch. Last to mention the spa - the treatments are priced fairly reasonably (eg. 30 euro for a facial, 45 for a sports massage) but totally worth it if you want to treat yourself. The spa again is spotlessly clean and beautifully furbished and the therapists working there are all highly skilled. I thoroughly enjoyed both of my treatments and this was a great addition to the holiday. Overall, a fab holiday with perfect weather everyday - clear blue skies and sun with a nice sea breeze. Would definitely return to Oceanis and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Room Tip: Our room was very near the lift which was a bit noisy at certain points in the night, however, we go...

The only way to describe this hotel is wonderful! We had an amazing time, our room was lovely, we booked a standard room and we were not disappointed! The whole hotel is lovely, the lobby, bar and pool areas are really nice and the beach is kept really clean and their is a lovely breeze from the sea. The restaurants were exceptional, there was a great choice of food at all courses and the staff were amazing they worked so hard. Theres a beautiful view over the sea from both restaurants. People have previously mentioned a problem with flies, we didn't really notice this but they had just started using covered dishes when we arrived. I would just like to say a really big thank you to Antonis, who really made our holiday! We also used the spa facilites which were excellent. The thompson reps Amy and Kellie were always on hand to help and gave us some really good advice. I have to mention Andy, the in house musician, he was fantastic! He really gave the evenings entertain some quality, his voice is subereb and he sung a great selection of hits! Overall if your looking a high quality, quiet, couples hotel, where you can relax and forget about normal life, this is for you! Thank you to everyone at the Oceanis, we will be returning!

Wow is the only way to describe the Oceanis, amazing service from everyone there. we had a suite with a private pool which was excellent, pool plenty big enough, and the suite was massive, thanks to the hotel for the free champagne and fruit on arrival for our honeymoon. never seen such a clean hotel, Adam on reception was brilliant on arrival couldn't be more helpful. we were taken straight to lunch on arrival while our bags were taken to our room. massive selection of food, there is something for everyone.

Must say the restaurant managers were really great especially Antonis, this guy spoke to me about MK Dons football club, how he knew so much is beyond me,spoke to us every food service, cant say how brilliant he was in words,he always greeted everyone with a smile, this guy should get a pay rise awesome service from him.

entertainment good and never forced to take part in anything if you didn't want to.

this hotel is amazing and would love to return soon, amazing amazing!!!!!

Room Tip: private pools suites i feel were better at the front of the hotel more privacy

We arrived at about 9pm at the hotel and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and offered a drink, then we were whisked into the restaurant to have dinner, which left us with a great first impression. Check-in after was a brief and simple affair, just perfect as you didn't want to wait around for ages. We were accompanied to our room and the porter brought our bags up.

The room was a lovely large size with everything you would need. For a hot country, to get tea/coffee facilities was a definite plus. We couldn't ask for more in the room and it's been one of the best rooms we have had, although not having a door on the bathroom was a bit weird at first as I was sharing with my Mum.

The food was top notch, to be honest it was difficult limiting yourself as you want to try everything! The staff were excellent and very friendly and easy to get along with. The facilities were great too - the beach is right there a few metres away and there are lots of sunbeds along there, the garden bit and around the two pools. We were very relaxed and enjoyed our holiday very much.

There wasn't any aqua aerobics which we would have liked so I can see some people being bored there but as we wanted to relax, we were OK with it. The beach is part sand, part shingle so take jellies/crocs/sea shoes with you. The bus stop outside the hotel takes you into Kos Town which was nice, just to get away from the hotel for a bit. If you buy your tickets from Reception, you save some money so that's something to note.

Overall, we found this a fantastic hotel and we are planning our return visit next June. We enjoyed another 4 star hotel in Kos for 3 years and thought it couldn't be beaten but this one showed us it could. Excellent choice for a chilled, relaxing holiday in the sun.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view if possible, and also to be close to Reception.

We cannot wait to rebook and visit this hotel again! The staff are so friendly the cleanliness is very high and the location is just great with views that are amazing! We were one of the youngest couples on our stay and found the hotel accommodated to all age types. Entertainment wasnt great but andy the singer was lovely to listen and relax to if you want a quiet night.
We loved to go into kos about 10.30 at night on two occasions, the bus fare is 3 euro return, which can be brought from the reception so we got the bus there and the last bus back at 2am. If u like nightlife there's a street called bar street which is brilliant but expensive, good for a change of you wanted a livelier night.
The food is nice, the Greek night was the best but my partner is quite traditional so we didn't like all the dishes but never went hungry. We loved the toasties and pancakes from the quiet pool bar!
We also did the Turkish delight trip with thompson to travel to turkey and back for the day, turkey is beautiful but the heat (41 degrees) and baggering of the turkish men was too much and made the day not worth the hassle of getting there and back, passport control was a nightmare!! Overall the hotel is amazing and cannot wait to come back! We loved every minuite of it, thankyou Oceania! :)

Literally got home today after 2 wonderful weeks at the Oceanis. We stayed for just a week last July and just HAD to come back again and pennies permitting we will be back again next year!
We arrived at the hotel well after 2:30am and were greeted with a smile & the news we had been upgraded due to our room not being ready (I think that's what he said...I was so tired, I didn't really hear properly!). The room was a dream, an Executive Suite with a private pool! Someone mentioned the "private" is not as private as it might be when people walk past to the Meltemi Taverna but there is a curtain that can be pulled across but then you would lose the sea view...you win some you lose some! The a la carte restaurant has a limited menu but what they have is beautiful, I think you can eat there once per week of your All Inclusive stay otherwise the main Yacht Restaurant buffet has a huge selection of food...top tip, it is mega busy at 8pm, people with plates of food coming at you from all directions! The Meltemi Taverna is also buffet service at lunchtime but again a fair choice of food!
Some of these names have been mentioned before but these are the ones I know and spoke to on a regular basis...Murat & Adam (reception), Mirto & Antonis (yacht restaurant), Onur & Olga (Pool Bar), Christos & Leonard (main bar), there are of course soooo many others that will always have a "kalimera" at the ready for you. Many of the staff remembered us from last year (possibly due to my husband's unique laugh...once heard never forgotten!)
One word of warning, they cannot cash travellers cheques (I vaguely remembered that from last year but had forgotten...on the day I needed cash to pay for a hire car :-O( there then followed a mad dash in on the bus to town to cash some!) Travellers cheques can be cashed at most travel agencies (we used Nissia Travel just off the harbour front) & banks but bank hours are limited whereas the agencies are open longer. The bus stop is right outside the hotel and tickets can be bought at reception for €1.50 in to town...I think you pay more if paying in cash on the bus so always a good idea to get them beforehand! If you're feeling energetic and have the time it's a 80 minute stroll in to town, of course there is also the option of getting a bicycle!
Some of the rooms are "under" the pool sun terrace or the Yacht Restaurant so if you want a lie in or early night you might be disturbed by chairs/sunbeds being dragged.
We have been to Kos so many times in the past that we have made friends on the island that we go back to see so to be honest I cannot comment on the day/evening activities and will leave that to others...but Patty, you run an excellent hotel!!
places to visit either by car (reception will book this for you) or bus -
Mastichari, Kefalos, Agios Theologos (right at the far end of the island, car/scooter required!), Kardamena, Platani & Zia
places to eat/drink - Kalymnos ouzeria in Mastichari, The Garden in Kardamena, Kleanths on the seafront in Nissyros (boat trip), Sunset Beach Taverna in Pserimos (3 island boat trip), Sunset Wave in Ag. Theologos, Serif in Platani, Broadway in Kos Town and Oromedon in Zia
