Words can't express just how lovely this place was. I read the trip advisor reviews before going to niriides and they don't disappoint. I think the friendliness of the staff are what really make it. They all couldn't be more welcoming and happy to help you with anything you may need. The private beach has free sunbeds and there are more than enough sunbeds for everyone by the pool too. The pool bar was well stocked and ran by a lovely man. The rooms are basic but everything you could need and very clean. My husband and I had such a wonderful time that we booked another week as soon as we came back. The hotel have even said we can have the same room when we return. Greek night was awesome. All the local restaurants were friendly and welcoming with gorgeous food! Kos town is only 2 minutes away on the bus and the bus stop is opposite the hotel. I couldn't recommend this place more. Go go go!

This was our first visit to the Niriides and wow what a place. The room was really modern and clean, the staff throughout were great and really made you at home and very comfortable. The pool side bar staff were really helpful. My wife and I wanted a place to relax and this was it. The greek night and BBQ was fantastic. The only thing that spoilt the holiday was having to come home. We would certainly recommend the Niriides to friends. Our room had a sea view which was an added bonus. It was nice to sit on the balcony and just watch the world go by . Please dont let the good work slip.

Room Tip: If you want a nice sea view then ask for a room with sea view

Been to loads of Greek islands on holiday and this one was up there with the best. Whilst the accommodation, being typically Greek, was fairly basic, it was spotless and was kept that way by being cleaned every day. Plenty of facilities to cook if desired in a reasonably sized kitchen. Comfy beds and adequate bathroom. Excellent shower, although it seems that nobody's invented the shower curtain over there still!! ;-) Air-con 5 euros per day and worked well. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, pool clean and tidy with plenty of sunbeds when we were there. (not in school holidays). Greek night was well worth the 10 euros each. Not your usual BBQ food. What we had was as good as most restaurants. Didn't eat at the hotel other than that night. Recommend The Blue Ocean restaurant which is about 300 yards left out of the hotel. If we went back we'd eat there every night. Had brunch every day in the cafe next door to the hotel. run by Michael and his family. Lovely people and food. Fabulous salads, but a great fry up too, if required. Also has excellent free wifi. The hotel's wifi was poor. Stayed by the pool each day. The beach is stony and not very appealing. One minor complaint. The TV in the room had no English speaking channels. Strange, as the hotel has a massive satellite dish. As the majority of the guests while we were there were British, it seemed somewhat pointless having the TV's installed.

Room Tip: Get what they refer to as a "bungalow" room. Small 2 storey units, rather than the large b...

We had a one bedroom apartment at the back of the pool. It was quiet, clean, well equipped and comfortable. The bed as comfortable but we definitely needed the air con which was reasonable at 5 euros per night. There were always beds at the pool although as we were leaving after 2 weeks in early July the bed reservation brigade had arrived so this might change later in the season. The staff were lovely, there is a very reasonable snack bar at the pool and a bar in the hotel with comfy sofas to have a quiet drink or you can drink on the terrace.
There is a supermarket about 5 mins away and a 30 minute stroll gets you into Kos Town. We like a walk so this was not a problem and we went in and out at least once a day but you can also get bikes which was fun.
I would go back to the Niriides for a quiet break in a nice setting. A stones throw from the beach with some nice places to eat within a short walk.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms look lovely. Apartments are well equipped for self catering.

This was our first time at niriides beach hotel and it did not disappoint. The studios were situated in the main building which is on a busy road and the apartments were in separate blocks. The best of these were behind the pool which were much quieter as they were set back from the road and consisted of two bungalows and four blocks of four apartments each. The two bedroom apartments ground level and one bedroom apartments above. We were in a one bedroom apartment so had part sea views and country views. The bedroom is spacious with a separate well equipped kitchen, microwave. kettle, fridge, toaster, coffee maker etc. with a table and chairs and the bathroom has a half bath and shower. The towels were of good quality and were changed frequently together with the bed linen. A nice touch was the towels being left on the beds in various shapes, swans, boats, bows, butterflies etc. with a sweet and biscuit placed on them The airconditioning was 35E per week, and the safes which were situated in the main building were 20E per fortnight. There was a flat screen t.v. but were unable to find even the news channels in english. They do have a hairdryer in the room which does have a nozzle[unusual] which is in the mirrored compartment. You do have to vacate your room by 11.0'clock but you can pay for an extention either your room if available or in main building for 25E upto 6.0'clock i think, or if you don't want to do that there is a shower room downstairs in the hotel next to the toilets. The communal areas are immaculately clean with comfy sofas to relax on with a contemporary feel. Be aware there is no board for Thomsons to look for your departure times but Beth the rep slips a note by your door two days before departure. There is a free beach opposite the hotel but there are beds without parasols and it's a bit cramped so we went to the beach which is right out of the building just a few yards next to Nostoros Taverna belonging to the Platanista Hotel which is 5E for two beds and parasol with more space. There is also a shower. The edge of the sea is very stoney and they have sandbags for you to walk on so far out but i suggest if you want to swim or snorkel a lot and have tender feet to bring beach shoes. There is a place for you to hire any type of vehicle you wish which is just a few yards right out of hotel called Safe Wheels. We hired a car for the day which was 45E and bicycles are 5E a day. There are two Taverners to the right and three to the left unless you want to go further into town, but the views from these are stunning as they are on the waters edge with views over to turkey and the occasional cruiseship to watch as you eat your meal. There is a supermarket to the left but if you only want drinks, ices etc the jet garage has it. The bus stop into town is situated in front of the beach i mentioned and is 1.60E, but if you like walking as we do it doesn't take too long. There is a kiosk as you get off for your ticket back. The town is beautiful with the marina and you can also take the funtrain of which there are three which is 5E. Do be aware there are an awful lot of people hiring bikes which are on the same track as pedestrians who seem to want to ride side by side day and night so look before you step out. I cannot fault this hotel and would certainly recommend it. Lastly i must mention the staff who were all very friendly.

Room Tip: apartments behind the pool are quieter

We usually go 5* but certainly weren't disappointed with the 3* Niriides!! We're self catering in an excellent apartment, well equipped kitchen, good balcony with excellent views if pool and the Turkish Coast (apartment B6). Didn't eat at hotel as loads if cafés and restaurantes within 5 mins walk. The little cafe immediately on right as you leave the hotel entrance is one of the best values places
I've ever eaten at!! €5 for bacon, 2 eggs, beans, sausage, chips (!) coffee, fresh juice, cake (!) free excellent wi-Fi and World Cup on large screen tv-wht more could
Anyone want! Great cocktails for €5 too. It's a 30 min wall into main kos area.. But only €1 -2 on bus... Different buses had different prices!!! WHY HASNT ANYONE MENTIONED THE DOG!???? There was the cutest most friendly dog I've ever come across... I think it was owned by hotel. Small. White, so friendly!! Came to everyone's sunbed every day to say hello!!! If I can fath how to load a pic of it I will! Love Kos, will certainly be back, probably to this hotel too!

I would recommend staying here, staff very friendly and helpful. The 2 b/room apartment was basic but clean. Sheets and towels changed a couple of times in our weeks stay. Plenty of sun beds around the pool anytime of day. Free wifi in the reception/bar area which we made use of. We ate out and I recommend you try Mavromatis taverna and meet Manos.....he is a character and will make you smile. Kos town a 20min walk away, and a few supermarkets up/down the main road. The Greek night at the Niriides was good, €10 for BBQ and dancing. What more could you want. Bar prices reasonable too. Even your own private beach across the road.

Room Tip: If you want to be away from the main building, ask for the apartments set back from the pool.
