We have just returned from the Aegean view hotel , I would like to give this holiday a 5 star review as it was the best holiday we have had.
The hotel itself was set in the hills with the best view you could imagine, the hotel itself is lovely as well with great facilities and a lot of very nice pools.it is also very clean in all departments too.
the staff in this hotel are extremely helpful and make you feel so welcome, almost like part of a family, I would like to say a special thank you to Irene on reception for all the help she did with our requirements, she was ever so nice and friendly. she went that extra length to help us and make our holiday extra special.

I am just back from 3 weeks holiday at the Agean View and have had a wonderful experience.
I have seen some of the poor reviews and can not believe that I was in the same Hotel.
My wife and I travelled with two friends and I can not remeber any of the 4 of us having one complaint.
Our accommodation was spacious and clean. The linen was changed every day and numerous fresh towels were provided every day.
The pool which was also regularly cleaned was about 30m from our room.
A free bar was provided by the pool from 10am until 11pm where drinks and snacks were provided.
The variety of food for every meal was amazing and I am not sure what else could have been put on the menu. The food was lovely and beautifully presented. Some of the dishes may not have been to my taste but that was due to personal taste and not the food. I never left feeling hungry.
The bread was made on site and the vegetables came from their own farm so was lovely and fresh.
Apart from the Main Dining Room there was an a La Carte Restaurant where there was table service and I can not remember if it was a 5 or a 7 course meal provided. Drinks were charged for here but to pay for a bottle of wine with a beautiful free meal, well worth it.
There was also the Taverna where we ate on several nights which was a bit quieter and had a lovely romantic setting. Drinks here were also free.
This is the first time my wife and I have been on an all inclusive holiday and we were very impressed.
The staff could not have been friendlier and I send a big thank you to Joanna who always had time for us and endeavoured to do all that she could to enhance our holiday.
I would have no qualms in recommending this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: We were up the hill in the family accommodation with our own pool and bar and it was fantastic and h...

My wife and I were travelling with two friends for our main holiday of the year.

Although our flight was delayed and we arrived after 3am we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who provided drinks and snacks and an quick registration process before showing us to our rooms.

The resort is spread across a hillside with no buildings higher than two storeys and in addition to the main pool area there are a number of smaller pools with sun loungers and in the area we were in a separate pool bar. There is also an aqua park providing various chutes toys/ activities. Although the hotel was full we had no problems getting sun loungers or access to food or drink.

The views are fantastic; with Kos, Turkey and various other islands providing a spectacular backdrop and with the Aegean sea sparkling in most directions. The nature of the resort means the facilities may be a short walk from your room, however a buggy can be requested from reception if preferred (personally given the quantity of food on offer I felt the need to walk some of the excess off!).

The food is excellent with a wide choice at all meals and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Apart from the main self service restaurant there are two other eating options; a taverna setting (providing traditional meat and fish dishes from the grill) and an a la carte option (select a five course menu option on booking). When we decided on trips a packed lunch was available.

Although, there is a spa and fitness room available we resticted our use to massages which were excellent.

Local bus services run between the hotel and Kos City (cost €1.20 if you pay on the bus €1.10 if you buy your ticket at the kiosk). The last bus home is a bit early at 9pm, however a taxi is less than €10.

In summary; this is an excellent hotel, providing high quality food and facilities and most importantly the service is delivered by friendly and helpful staff who make you feel welcome and looked after at all times. I highly recommend this hotel.

We were in a group with two other couples, on arrival we were told The hotel was full, the hotel owner then appeared to embark on a what would appear to be a well rehearsed ploy to get two couples to share a two bed suite instead of the deluxe rooms we had booked, when we refused they mysteriously found three separate deluxe rooms all together, we overheard other people during our stay complaining of similar practices.
I would rate the hotel no better than a three star The rooms are very basic with no toiletries apart from a soft soap dispenser no complimentary water and a antiquated 12 inch TV with no channels.
The food was palatable but lacked choice, it did improve as the week went on however.
Apart from the owner and the head waiter who were Greek all the other staff appeared to be of Eastern European descent, some of whom were very rude.
Gin and Tonic drinkers beware they do not provide tonic to all inclusive guests we had to buy our own and bring it in from Kos Town

Given some of the poor reviews about this resort, my husband and I were slightly apprehensive to say the least!
We arrived at about 10pm at the resort and was greeted by Vanya on reception, she is a very friendly person who informed us to go and have a drink by the bar whilst she checked us in and our luggage taken to our room.
We went to the bar and were given a couple of rolls to eat, but we weren't hungry. Our room was located on the lower terrace which meant the room was quite dark with no view. The room was spacious and clean although could have done with a little maintenance. The bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished, so no concerns there.
The following morning my husband mentioned to Vanya that a room with a view would have been nice. We were surprised when Joanna found us by the pool and informed us that when a room becomes available, she would move us to a room with a view.
A day later, Joanne placed us in a fantastic room with fantastic views of the Aegean and Turkey. We were very happy and impressed that Joanne had come looking for us in the first place and then delivered what she promised.
The resort is located about 10 minutes (drive) from Kos, but like other people have said there is a bus that runs every hour. It was too hot to walk. It would have been nice to have some tavernas within walking distance for a change, but its not too much trouble to get into town. There is no entertainment (which does not bother us) however, we felt they could make better use of the bar area. The drinks are typical of an all inclusive and the measures were strong!! Stellios and the other staff were friendly and hard working.
There was a good selection of food on offer everyday, although some things were not to my liking, but that is down to personal preference. We ate in the grill one evening and found the food to be good, plenty to eat for carnivores!!
We hired a car for the day and had a really great time. I would recommend this to anyone. The island is only 45k long so does not take anytime to go down to the south of the island and explore. It is worth going to Zia which is very pretty. If you stay until 7 the sunset is supposed to be amazing however, the sunset was lovely from the resort.
Overall, we had a very relaxing time here and found the staff to be pleasant and friendly. People have to remember that 4 star resorts do not necessarily have the same standards as in European cities, and if going on that alone I would rate it a 3.

We arived on Thursday and my wife said it didnt look like a 4star resort but i said lets give it a go ! On the saturday we ate in the a la carte restaurant, the children weren't very hungry so they did not eat there which was a blessing as I felt awful going to bed. For the next 5 days i ate nothing and lived on bottled water, coke and sprite as the drinks there were disgusting and could not eat anything i felt that bad.
On the last day we asked if we could have the room for free until pick up (45 euro charge), as a gesture of good will, because i had caught something on the resort either a virus or bacterial. The manageress said she would speak to the owner, who then in turn asked me to go to the office to speak with him. As soon as i sat down he told me i had not gotten ill on the resort, I must have caught it from someone, as his food was the freshest best food in Greece. I said i had caught it on the resort as i had not been left the resort and did not bring it with me, at this point he banged down on his desk ranting at me in Greek, i then banged the desk and told him not to bang the desk at me which is when he stood up and went to physically attack me !! Only for the manageress coming between us to stop him. I left the office and waited to get the coach to the airport, they charged us for the room. I went straight to the doctor at home, gave some samples and waited for the results..... SALOMONELLA !!!!! DONT GO THERE !!!

This is my second review of this hotel, as first review was removed. so here goes. Arrived at hotel late in the evening, waited ages to get room as only one receptionist on duty, and other coaches arriving, rooms had not been allocated, so sent off for soup and rolls in the bar. The 5 rooms, we booked and assured would be together, weren't, we were spread over the resort. hotel claim they didn't know we were a party of 15, yet when we picked up from airport, we were only referred to as " Party of 15 for aegean view". When rooms were allocated, I questioned whether I had been downgraded to a double, had on paperwork studio/ standard garden sea view, management said " it's late we're tired, we're sort it out in the morning. Was told to go to reception next day following breakfast, I did and again after lunch, then after dinner, continually told to come back all day. After 2 days of being told this, I said I would unpack and stay where I was. Wish I hadn't as we had disturbed nights due to dogs barking all night from the private houses above us. after realising that our all-inclusive package was made difficult to access, persumably limiting their expenses, we were disappointed. Aqua Park, top of steep hill, no free icecreams, 2.50 EURO'S EACH, all/inc ice cream only available at bottom bar. Entertainment at top of other hill, no toilets, limited drinks, again limiting what you drink. If you saw a brochure/ web page that portrayed a farm being on site with horseriding, this no longer exists, you can get a hotel transfer to the farm, but must pay to get in, horse riding you must pay your own transfer, approx 50 euro's. A-la-Carte restaurant you must pay for drinks.
Requesting information from Irene, hotel receptionist, she did not want to answer our questions, ignored us and started dealing with guests behind us. we requested she writes down the managers name, she chose to phone the Manager at least 3 times, who arrived at reception with an aggressive manner. Three of us were sat on the sofa's outside reception at this time, she bent over, raising her voice, she was shouting " I am not your server" repeatedly, and would not allow the other 2 in our party to finish their sentences, she told us to look at the website, we explained that the wi fi had been down all day, so we couldn't access the information then somehow, accused us of calling her a liar, regarding the farm etc, yet in her hand, had already printed out paperwork showing no farm onsite. The next day, we were contacted via phone by OLA Holidays, telling us we were being thrown out of the hotel, no alternative hotel, flights home etc.In hindsight, OLA is purely a booking agent so check their T & C's carefully, you will not get backing if anything goes wrong. We explained that we had not done anything, purely ask questions we were confused about, we came to an agreement, that if the 3 that attended the reception the previous night, apologised in writing to the management then our party of 15 could continue their holiday. I was made to apologise, yet know that I did not speak one word to Irene, The receptionist, or Joanne, The Manager that night, so it made a mockery of the whole situation, but it seems from other reviews, getting guests to sign paperwork rules is commonplace. As a party we decided to forget the incidence and get on and enjoy the holiday, this was very difficult, due to comments from the management to the adults, then, the children in our party. Also accessing the water park, and golf buggie taxi's was difficult as this required you contacting reception first. Irene was unprofessional, and would choose not to relay information to the relevant parties. Week 2. The Strike, No upper management was available to comment or liaise with guests, when the restaurant was closed lunchtime, due to management deciding the dutch travel company had not paid them, then the staff going on strike, due to management not paying them, Adonis, Restaurant Manager was left to deal with the whole sorry mess. The private beach with this resort is a 20 foot stretch, mostly rubbish and hardcore, broken shower, broken parasols and steps, not worth the 5 min free transfer provided by hotel. A Lot of the photo's( the nice ones) on trip advisor are media photo's and are no longer relevant, No slides by mainpool, so if you have kids, you do need to go to the Waterpark, which is tiny, no bridges across pools, and ask yourself why they haven't put nice beach photo's up. There's not one. I would not visit Greece for a holiday ever again. Have had an example of how they conduct business, no hospitality values, bullying of guests, and very very vague regarding accommodation/ accessibility of all-inclusive deals.Once they've got your money, thats it xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
