Very helpful staff, great value for money. We had a fab holiday so would highly recommend! Only downside is the lack of instruction when you get there, but we arrived very late in the evening.

We've just returned from a week at this resort and I don't know how but I've not put any weight on!

The trip was via Travelzoo and a great offer though the flights were at night with transfer to the hotel over an hour and from an hour and three quarters. That aside the hotels were kept very clean and tidy as were the grounds. The food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was a comprehensive choice of hot and cold dishes which was plentiful, fresh and attractively laid out. Themed evening meals were also available and by waiter as opposed to self serve buffet.

The staff were always polite and helpful and my only gripe is that the air conditioning, although working, was not at all efficient in reducing the rooms temperature.

I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and we may well do so again ourselves.

Where do I start with this one! Ok well, we were dumped on the road outside the hotel with no instructions as to where to check in. It was 11.50 pm and we have two small children so as you ca imagine it was quite a struggle. I saw a porter and asked him what to do, he just pointed across the road (in the wrong direction) and walked off. A kind gentleman who was staying at the hotel helped us to the check in desk and we were given a key card and pointed again to the other hotel called Maris, no help to our room at all which for a so called 5 star hotel is already disgraceful. We were so tired and hungry that all we wanted to do was sleep and things would be better in the morning.... Or so we thought!!! The buffet breakfast was nothing like the brochure and it was the same every single day. The fruit was dirty looking and unappealing and by the end of the first week just looking at the buffet dinner and evening meals was enough to make you feel sick. Brussel sprouts were on for three days in different disguises and the liver for lunch was re-vamped for two days. I read all I could about this hotel complex before I booked as It has lovely water park and a pirate ship in one of them and it said on the website that we could use all the facilities in all the hotels, what it left out was that you had to pay for the privilage!!!!!!!!!!! which by the way cost 20 euros a throw. Not all inclusive. The drinks, again 4 out of 16 cocktails is yet again not all inclusive. The drinks are weak and tasteless and the ice cream is limited to 1 till 4 and woe betide the staff that dare to give children a scoop out of these hours. The bar staff were lovely but the women on the front desk were rude and ignorant and really did not want to help. The fridge was stocked when we got there and it said in the brochure that for a service charge they would fill it every day, so I asked the reception what the service charge was and she threw me a price list at 3 euros for each item so basically not all inclusive yet again. My daughter fell down a broken man hole in the grass so we went to tell the staff, they never even asked how she was just got on the phone to a gardener and ignored us. 3 days later it was still broken and a very dangerous hole in the grass. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who thinks that its all inclusive because it is definately not what I thought I had booked The panarama at the top of the hill is the so called 5 star but all the others in the complex are definately at the most 3 star.

Dear ruddysgirl
Thank you for choosing our hotel for your vacation and for sharing your comments on Tripadvisor.
To the hotel’s defence, we’d like to answer to the points you are making, by the order stated.
We are displeased that your check-in impression was not good but the way you describe the facts(?) does not help us understand and respond. Our operational reception is at Hippocrates building and all transportation means’ drivers on this island are aware of this. As for the transfer from the desk to the rooms we have bell service 24/7, with a golf cart or minibus to take our guests to Maris suites.
Our breakfast buffet may not vary each day but its composition gets us nothing but compliments. We would gladly send the description of the breakfast buffet to anyone who’d ask for it before booking our rooms. It is too bad that because of its length, we cannot post it right here. Neither can we post pictures to show how far from true your description is. You are mentioning a dinner buffet that you also disliked. We find this strange, as in Maris suites we do not have buffet for dinner but table served Theme menus.
Maybe this is not the right hotel you are reviewing?
Our lunch buffets are on a 10 day schedule and rotate their hot, cold dishes, salads and deserts so that we avoid repetition as much as possible. It is highly unlikely that in one hotel there was nothing but Brussels sprouts.
Again, regarding the facilities, you were staying at Maris suites; the waterslides are located in kipriotis Aqualand and the Pirate ship in Kipriotis village, which are 3 different hotels. 20 Euros, is the price for a family of 4 with 2 children, to use the waterslides for the whole day, which is simply reasonable.
The 4 cocktails stated in our all inclusive bar list are actually 7. As for the drinks, they are of standard quality and alcohol content as everywhere else. The mini bar is filled upon arrival as a welcoming gesture from our hotel. In a hotel where one can drink and eat all day long, to replenish it with premium brands involves an extra charge.
What you describe as a man holes and took pictures of, are actually shallow (8cm) water tap covered containers. At times their covers are displaced. There is no danger whatsoever, other than getting wet, from these covers and falling in one of them is rather incomprehensible.
Our All Inclusive package is definite and clearly described to all our partners. However for our non All In guests and for whoever else wants to have something different, we do have the right to make available items for a fee beyond the All Inclusive package. This does not make our own package poor or incomplete. All inclusive, does not mean that everything that can be found in the market everywhere, is de facto for free consumption in the hotel.
Finally, the Panorama is indeed 5 stars but so is the official classification of the Maris suites from the authorities which are definately competent .
The management.

We went for 8 days the end of May.The staff of Maris Suite was very nice and neat. Our room was big and cleaned every day. Beds were okay, The food was good (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and there was a great variety of vegatables, meat, fish and salades. We enjoyed the environment. the people were also very nice and polite. The trip was worth every penny!

Just returned from a weeks AI break at the Maris. We went with Lo Cost Holidays and the transfer took over an hour with the bus dropping us off at the Panorama by mistake, however the staff at the Panorama swiftly rectified the situation by getting the hotel minibus to drive us down the hill to the Hippocrates to check in. The porter took my sister and myself to our room which was lovely but had a double bed instead of the twin that we had booked, so we went straight back to reception the night porter told us we would be able to change rooms in the morning. Next day at 10.00 the lady on reception said we wouldn't be able to change rooms until the following day but she could get the maid to make up the bed settee as we were in a junior suite. But because we were only on a weeks holiday we didn't want to wait until day 2 for another room as we wanted to unpack etc we settled for the room we were in. The bed was a massive super king so it was big enough for both of us to sleep in without being aware of the other person. The bed had beautiful Egyptian cotton sheets which seemed to be changed most if not every day. There was very little information in the room so we weren't sure if the drinks in the fridge - Mythos, Metaxa, Pepsi, water, fresh orange, sprite etc were complimentary or not but when we checked with the guest relations lady she told us they were but would not be replenished but this was a lovely touch anyway. The air-con was very good and the room was spotless with a lovely big terrace.
The hotel was also immaculately clean and the toilets in the public areas were the best I'd ever come across in Greece.
The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful with excellent customer service and always a lovely smile.
Food was good, especially the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs at breakfast in the Maris. One night we ate at the Kipriotis Village 5 mins down the road. The food was excellent but it was too noisy and busy for us we preferred the calm of the Maris themed restaurant.
There were plenty of sun beds and shade at either the pool or the beach, and the beach even had its own snack van where the drinks were free for AI Maris guests.

The only slightly disappointing thing was the gym in the Hippocrates that had no cardio equipment just some free weights. We could have used the spa and gym at the Village but this was a bit far and didn't open until 10 AM.
All the guests from the 4* Hippocrates and 4* Village could use the Maris facilities and vice versa, so the Maris felt like 4*+ extras rather than 5*
All in all a very relaxing holiday with some very nice touches, good food, friendly staff, and lovely rooms.

Room Tip: It makes no difference what you request you get what you are given, but they are all seem very good

We booked 13 days in may and arrived in the evening. At first we got a room 'ground floor' but we didn't like that because it was more in the basement. No view when you sit on the terras and a lot of stairs down. After 2 days we were placed in other rooms which was better. Rooms are very big and cleaned every day. Food was good and the service in restaurant and bar also. Everyone was very friendly and cooperative. A nice place to be!!!
