By far the best resort we stayed in, in the whole of South East Asia,

The management and staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Its such a relaxing awesome place to really unwind and chill out.

The food was incredible and the service was second to none we couldn't recommend this place more highly.

Well where to start. Maybe with a fact, that I regret rating any previous accomodation with 5/5, because now Blue Orchid deserves not only 5/5 but at least 6/5. It really is a wonderful place to spend your vacation.

Yes, it is located right by the sea and the resort is spacious and well maintained. Yes, the views are spectacular. Yes, rooms are clean and spacious as you can read in all previous reviews.

What really stands out are all the people who you meet here. From the Dutch managers and their boss to each and every other employee. They all are very nice and friendly. And I mean nice by nature and not only because you are spending your money there. Special thanks to dive master Dino, who had enormous patience during our diving course (I highly recommend to everyone!).

The menu in the resort restaurant is extensive offering delicious local, thai and western dishes. Try fresh grilled Lapu-Lapu fish or their thai chicken curry. If you desire some nightlife take a cab to Panagsama beach and have a dinner or drink there (try Czech In and their huge burgers or steak if you are in mood for western cuisine).

Thank you once again for the amazing time we all spent in Blue Orchid. Wish we visit some day again!

Room Tip: Pay the extra for deluxe rooms, the views are worth it.

I planned to stay for less then one week in the Blue Orchid Resort, but eventually stayed for two weeks, I just couldn't leave... It's a small resort, beautifully located on a coral riff, with a lot of trees and a nice garden. Waking up with the sound of singing birds, looking from your balcony over this garden and just behind that the beautiful sea, it's just amazing. The rooms are quiet big and luxurious: nice beds, aircon, good bathroom and a nice and natural atmosphere to it. Because it's a fairly small resort, with very friendly staff, managers and owner, it has a family feeling to it. Also the diving is very good, not only because of the great dive spots, also because of the knowledgeable and awesome dive masters / instructors. I did my PADI Open Water course and they treated me really well and took me to some special places. Within 20 minutes there are numerous dive spots that will blow your mind: Pescador Island with it's beautiful coral cliffs, diving with millions of sardines in front of Panagsama Beach, the Marine Sanctuary, a plane wreck, or just diving with the big sea turtles and beautiful fish in front of the resort (just walk in and start diving). All in all this is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone. I will be back! Thanks for everything

We stayed three nights at Blue Orchid Resort.

It's a small hotel with a very good atmosphere (maybe around ten rooms I guess), not so many guests so you can quickly know everyone. Rooms are big enough, bathroom is correct and included air condition. View of the sea behind tropical trees is beautiful and we heard many birds because it's last hotel on the area so very peaceful.
Sunsets over Tanon straits are stunning, and house reef is good for diving or snorkeling (I saw a turtle on my first dive, another one on my second just right in front of hotel!!) with lively underwater scenery. We also went to Panagsama to dive with school of sardines : amazing !
Dive master Dino Bustamente is very professional and serious, we had a lof of fun (actually it was the most professional of all dive master I dived with during my stay in the Philippines). Equipment is new and also better than other dive shop I visited after my stay in Moalboal.

Restaurant food is good, and we noticed that service was very quick compared with others restaurants in the country.

If you are looking for a beach, this hotel is the last on White beach, you can access the beach from stairs nearby the hotel (about ten minutes to the white sand).

This hotel is pleasant for children, they can play in the pool and play with the beautiful bird or others children while parents are having a drink or a snack beside pool (restaurant and bar is right around the pool).

Finally, we really liked this hotel and we had not found better place later on our trip in the Philippines.

Since Moalboal is very easy to reach (hotel arranged a 2h "fast" drive from Cebu International Airport to hotel), we really want to come back again in this very place for our next stay in the Visayas.

Room Tip: We stayed in rooms on the first floor and it was perfect. A guest told me he can reach WIFI in his r...

The hotel is very beautiful, large, pretty designed grounds, garden, swimming pool. Room was spacious, the beds are equipped with mosquito net. There is a large bathroom with comfortable shelves, where we could place the cosmetics. There is a balcony, attached to the room, with table and chairs.
The staff works very well, no any problems.
The hotel opens directly onto the beach, where almost from the shore begins the coral reef with a rich marine life. At low tide beach is covered with pools of sea water, in which whatever can’t be found! Surprisingly interesting!
What was not the best.
We were surprised with such a small amount of furniture in such a spaciously room. Besides the beds there are only a small chest of drawers (all things can‘t be placed) and a pair of hooks. Almost all had to be kept in bags on the floor.
As hotel is located in a secluded area, you obviously are tied to the hotel's restaurant. But the menu it is not very extensive, and the results of efforts of chef are not very inspiring. Furthermore, 8pm kitchen closes. Yes, you can go to Panagsama beach for other places to eat, but it’s not very easy also, as there is not any transport here, you need to ask for calling the tricycle from the town.
Another unpleasant surprise was that speed of the wireless connection tends to 0. From a hotel of this class, I expected that wi-fi would not only presented but will work well. Oh, no! You can easily connect to the access point, but even the message did not go away!

I booked this resort based on trip advisor reviews and was very very happy I did. Awesome staff. The new manager Melissa was always very helpful. Went to the nearby dive village Panangsama to eat. A few good places and easy to get to by tricycle but quite honestly the resort food was probably the best. The White beach was very interesting I could walk to it from my room. It only took 120 seconds!!! This surprised me as one of the reviews said there was no beach??? Bizarre!!!! Anyway I asked the owner about this and he said that the beach is tidal but that the sand is never more than 5 minutes from the resort. My room had a great sea view and big glass windows overlooking the ocean. The rooms were clean nice firm mattress. The water pressure was excellent not like many of the other places I have stayed in Asia...and HOT water!!!! Which was nice after the diving. The diving was great but I was apparently lucky as I was there at the end of the low season. I heard that the visibility gets better from January onwards but I certainly couldn't complain. Highlights were the sardine dive, the pescador dive and the marine sanctuary dive however also really enjoyed all the turtles at Tonga ( I think thats how it was spelt!). I didn't have time to do the whale shark trip but other customers were raving about it so I might even go back to this resort. Will always base my holidays on trip advisor from now on.This resort is tranquil yet close enough to the dive village if you want bars and restaurants. Personally I had enough of that scene in Thailand..

Room Tip: I recommend the deluxe sweet for the king size bed and lovely view of the ocean.

This beautiful resort is the last one on white beach, it takes about 25mins by trike to reach it from moalboal town. We were greeted by Melissa which is a great host! Rooms are very spacious and clean, mosquito net provided. The sound of the waves really helped to sleep peacefully! It was great that food at the restaurant is very good, since it's useless to go to town since no restaurant are available! Would have been better if the restaurant/bar stayed open longer. Us Europeans tend to have dinner much later than 8pm!
