I am currently staying at this tropical resort overlooking beautiful ocean, stunning sunsets and a laid-back island family style...I book about 220 hotel room nights each year, this is one that is EXACTLY what it says. iThe new corporate owner told me that the dining area was completed just two months ago, The family/staff are extremely accomodating for special requests ...the wifi is instant connection and very fast. ..they have a wide variety of local excursions on land and water...It actually has on offer what it says it does even in this slow post-typhoon time in the Philipines. we have enjoyed excellent well-prepared food and very quiet spacious rooms at very resonable prices..I have been teaching diving and travelling the planet for 30 years. I agree with other reviewers...the snorkelling is phenomenal and the reef directly in front of the hotel is easily one of the world's Top 20 shore dives. The hotel does not yet have internet in each room but the owners are working on it. Because Sea Turtle DELIVERS its promise...it is one of the great ones.

we arrived 9pm at the resort but Stefan was very accommodating and showed us the available rooms. The place is very quiet and private. What we love most is the hospitality of owners. We love our breakfast served by the beach. The food is good and servings are quiet generous. Too bad the weather was not that good that we weren't able to go snorkeling. Definitely will come back to see the sea turtles.

We stayed there twice, once for a month and a second time for a week. This is by far the best place we found for snorkelling: the local reef is amazing and turtles pop out of the reef every time! The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, the owners friendly.

Right next door, Andrew from Element Freedive can get you started with Freediving if you're a bit adventurous.

We'll be back!

This peaceful place is up the west coast of the Moalboal Peninsula, a good 7 kms from the more active Panagsama Beach. It is situated at the south end of White Beach, down a private lane behind Dolphin House, in a nice quiet, green enclave that slopes down to the seaside.

While there is a kitchen out back, Sea Turtle House has no restaurant, meaning that if you want food or drink, you will have to search for the staff before you can order anything. Apart from the lack of a proper restaurant, there is no menu. Of course, the cook will inform you of your options, but your choices for breakfast are basically “fried egg or omelette,” and your options for dinner are essentially “beef or buttered chicken.” At the same time, all meals come with healthy portions of side salad, bread and bacon or ham.

Once you order, you can enjoy your meals or drinks on your room-front patio or at the lounge area near the seaside, but you may have to wait a fair bit of time before they prepare it and bring it to you.

Also, when you put this on your tab, you’ll eventually find that you were enjoying $7–10 breakfasts. Still, the portions are substantial, and the omelette is very delectable.

Another drawback is that Sea Turtle House is at least a 10-minute walk from any other guesthouse on White Beach -- meaning that when you get hungry or thirsty, you’ll have to either wait a while, or maybe ride or walk a bit.

On the plus side, each room is a decent size, with a large table, a handy stack of shelves behind the door, a large safe, and a drink fridge. The rooms are generally well-maintained, and the staff keeps them clean and the fridge well-stocked.

Also, the staff and the guards are very friendly, and will be glad to help you arrange diving excursions, rides, and more.

All in all, not a bad place if you are not too demanding, but one that could be improved with a bit of effort and prompter service on the part of the owner and staff.
